The first shoot was a success. Although Sejeong fumbled up her words a few times, she managed to act relatively normal and pulled through. After brainstorming with the members, it was decided that the book would be about six rabbits and have to overcome their challenges in order to reach their dreams. Of course, the six rabbits would be modelled off the members, and in a marketing sense, that would be great for future merch as well.
Sejeong returned to her waiting room and took off her mask for some fresh air. She usually had a fringe, but the mask made it impossible to uphold the style. Her hair was all over the place, not to mention a little sweaty as well.
Someone knocked at her door, and assuming it was Manager Seo again, she told the guest to come in.
"Ms. Daisy?" Sejeong watched as platinum blonde hair peaked through the door.
"AHHH!" she scrambled to put her mask back on. "Give me one second please!"
Platinum blonde hair, that definitely wasn't Manager Seo.
"Okay, I'm ready now. You can come in Mr. Jooyoung."
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to surprise you."
"Oh not at all! I was just expecting someone else, not Mr. Jooyoung."
"Jooyoung. Just Jooyoung is fine. And was it okay if I just called you Daisy? We'll be seeing each other often now," he said while smiling.
Seeing the Tryangle members on a weekly basis was not on Sejeong's bingo card.
Jooyoung rummaged through his bag and took out the copy of "After The Wind Blows," and Sejeong was still impressed that he had it. Back then when she first started, she had no name and Blue Bird Media was almost bankrupt as well. They only printed 20 or so copies, making them impossible to find now.
"I'm surprise you have this," she said.
Looking down to the book, Jooyoung smoothed the cover with his thumb. "I bought it when it first came out, when I was still just a trainee."
Sejeong knew that he was a fan of her work, but she had no clue that just like her, he had been a debut fan as well.
"It would be an honour if I could get your signature on this," he said, extending out the book to her. Sejeong could see how worn the pages and spine of the book were, a testimony that it was beloved by its owner.
"Sejeo—" Manager Seo came bursting in the door. "I heard you scream earlier!"
Jooyoung let out a sigh with an undertone of annoying. "Do you have a habit of bursting through doors like that?"
Manager Seo opened his mouth to reply, but Sejeong cut him off before anything escalated. "It was nothing! I just saw a bug on the ground and Mr. Jooyoung helped me to catch it." She didn't know why she made up such a blatant lie.
"Is that so?" Manager Seo said. "I'm glad nothing happened, but I'm afraid that we have to go."
Jooyoung took a step forward. "Surely there's enough time for me to get a signature?"
Did she mishear it? It felt like annoyance was riddling up in her idol's voice.
Manager Seo shook his head and walked towards Sejeong. "I'm sorry but as her manager, I'm just trying to do my job."
"You're her manager?"
"Yes. And I've seen assigned to overwatch all of her activities, including blocking unwarranted interactions."
Jooyoung let out a laugh. "I didn't know the author was signed to an entertainment company."
"Wait? Huh?" Sejeong's brain was trying to understand what was going on.
"She is," Manager Seo answered. "And she's very important to us."
Jooyoung put on his celebrity face and excused himself out the room. He turned around to smile in Sejeong's direction and wave goodbye. "I'll see you next week, Daisy."
A;though Sejeong didn't realize it, an incredible misunderstanding had just been formed.
