Despite the trajectory of her life being turned overnight, Sejeong didn't feel much of a difference. Other than the fact that she was filming a TV series with her favourite boygroup, her days went on by usual. She woke up, went to work, hung out with Minju, and continued writing her novels. To some, Sejeong's lifestyle might have seemed to be one of repetitive filler and complete boredom. But to Sejeong herself, she despised the unknown and she felt comfort in the predictable.
And it's not like all the days were completely identical. One day, she tried out a new café across the office, and on another, she took a light stroll at the park near her home. These kinds of petite challenges are what Sejeong enjoyed the most. Tasks so minimal that most wouldn't even think twice before completing.
Today, however, held quite a turbulent challenge: the Tryangle fan signing. When she first started as a fan, it was quite easy to get into the group's fan signing, but as their popularity skyrocketed, so did the competition. That didn't matter though, as she was happier to see the fandom grow.
"Your number is thirty-seven," the staff member said. In fanmeetings such as these, everyone got assigned a number in which they would have a short face-to-face with the members.
Sejeong found her seat and looked around the crowd. As usual, they were passionate fansites with their ultra cameras, some peculiar fans in interest costumes, and many, many gorgeous ladies. It was no everyday occurrence to meet the members, and fans made sure that their appearance was flawless. As she scanned the room, she locked eyes with one of the fansites and nodded as a greeting. There were many familiar faces in the room and Sejeong took note of who she recognized and who she didn't.
'Lots of young faces,' she thought to herself. At 28-years old, she was by no means old, but there were many fans that appeared to be much younger.
"The meeting will start soon!" the speakers boomed. This wasn't Sejeong's first rodeo at this fan signing business, but her heart bounced every time in anticipation. And despite seeing the members every week as 'Daisy,' it was different knowing that she could see her. Really see her.
"Next person, please!"
It was her turn. The members were in reverse-age order: Yun, Raebin, Taegu, Minhyun, Kay, and Jooyoung.
"Hi Noona!" Yun said. "I haven't seen you in a while, did something happen?"
Sejeong passed over her album so that he could sign it. "Nothing happened silly! It's just impossible to get into your fan signings now... It's probably easier to win the lottery!" Yun laughed at the joke. "Oh right! My coworker wanted me to give this to you. She's also a Trio." Sejeong handed over Minju's entrusted letter. When she told Minju about winning the fan signing, Minju screamed in the middle of the cafeteria causing a scene.
Sejeong got to see the members up close during filming, but that was as 'Daisy,' and on most days, she felt lost on who 'Daisy' was.
The rest of the meeting went as planned. When she got to Taegu, she complimented him on his latest dance cover and they talked future suggestions and recommendations. Even in their short 5-minute talk, she could tell how sincere he felt about his performances, reminding her once again why he was her bias.
And it was finally Jooyoung's turn.
Her palms started the sweat at the thought of facing him. She knew that he wouldn't be able to recognize her, but what was this strange feeling emerging from inside? The thought of him holding his copy of "After The Wind Blows," flashed in her head.
'C'mon Sejeong, act nomal. Act normal!'
"Hey! Long time no see Noona!" Jooyoung was the oldest member of Tryangle, but he was still one year younger than Sejeong.
Sejeong laughed nervously and began to rub her hands.
Jooyoung's expression wrinkled with worry and he reached out for her hands, "what's the matter?"
"Oh," Sejeong rolled her brain for an answer, "just nervous to see you again!"
Silence.
"Jooyoung?"
He had his eyes focused on her hands.
"...Jooyoung?"
"Oh, um, sorry. Just admiring how pretty your hands are," he said with a smile. Out of all the members, he was known to be the most flirtatious.
"Geez, you and your words again."
Sejeong pretended to be annoyed by this playboy behavior and thankfully for her, this loosened by her nerves.
She took in a deep breath as she exited out the fan signing. 'Nothing's changed,' she thought, 'nothing has changed.'
