Fang came back to pick up his sister after the exams. Technically, he was forced by his mother to keep up appearances. He did like all the attention he got from showing up at the high school and getting all the girls to scream in delight at his presence.
There was a full-on photo session with Fang and so many of the high school girls. Mingmei felt happy because so many girls and even guys came over to her and also took photos with her. It felt weird because she never got that kind of attention at school before.
It reinforced in her mind that it was a good thing she fixed her face. She wanted to pat herself on the back for being smart when she did it so the change seemed like it came on naturally. Everyone thought that she lost weight because of being seriously ill before exams.
Fang looked over at his sister in the car, "How were the exams? Think you'll pass?"
Mingmei's eyes teared up and told him the entire story about the seats and Principal Chen.
