The next day, I woke up early, excited to see Leo again. His last visit had left me with mixed feelings, and I wasn't sure what to make of it. But I was hoping that today, he would tell me more about himself, and maybe I would finally understand what was going on between us.
As I walked down the stairs, I overheard my parents talking in the living room. They seemed to be discussing something important, but I didn't linger to eavesdrop. I just wanted to get out of the house and see Leo.
I found him waiting outside, sitting on a bench and sketching something in his notebook. When he saw me, he smiled and waved, and I felt a warm glow inside me.
"Hey there, Aphrodite," he said, putting away his notebook. "Are you ready for another day of adventure?"
I giggled. "Sure, Leo. What do you have planned?"
"Well," he said, taking my hand and leading me down the street. "I thought we could explore the city a bit more. Visit some of my favorite spots, have lunch at a cool restaurant. And maybe, if you're up for it, we can even go to the beach."
I felt my heart race at the thought of spending so much time with Leo. But at the same time, I couldn't help but think about Zack, and how I was supposed to be studying with him. What if he wanted to see me today, too? How would I juggle both of them?
