"Oriana!! Oriana!?!" Sister Oriana opened her eyes slowly but shut them quickly because of the bright light, "ah! Wait a moment, let me close the curtains" the voice around her said before the sound of a rustle fills the room.
After she felt the light became bearable for her to open her eyes, she opened them slowly and was met with Father Asher's tired eyes, "Oriana!" She gasped before she sat down, she looked at Father Asher's state then the surrounding, "What-?"
"You overexerted your body so you lost consciousness" he informed her with a careful tone studying her facial expression and then her body language.
"Oriana?"
"Why does this keep happening to me?" She mumbled. When Father Asher heard her asking that question, he was afraid she might herself emotionally so he wanted to hold her hand and assure her things will be alright, but she spanked the hand on hers before she glared at him with teary eyes.
Father Asher paused and stared into her eyes, "ever since I met you. It all started ever since I met you!!!" She yelled at him with tears streaming down her cheeks, "Why did you come into my life? Hic- The stalker! The kidnapping! The first day here and now this!!? Hic-"
He remained quiet not uttering a single word, afraid he might make her more mad than she already was. When he felt her sobbing calmed, he mustered up the courage left in him to at the very least apologize for everything, "I-"
"Leave me alone- No! Let's not meet, talk or even look at each other when we're in classes or the dining hall" The young man's body started trembling, and his eyes became watery. He nodded his head and stood from his seat and walked toward the door, before he left, he glanced at her one last time before he turned to face the door again, "I sincerely apologize to you Sister Oriana. I- I didn't know I could bring you bad luck like this. I apologize again and- I hope you have a better life"
He walked out of the room leaving Sister Oriana alone. After the room's door was shut, tears started streaming down again, and her sobs became louder, "Hic- I- I'm sorry- Hic- Asher. Waaaaah" she cried her eyes out before she fell asleep not knowing there were two people in the room hiding from her and Father Asher. Once they made sure she was asleep, they walked out of their hiding.
"I didn't expect things to be this bad between them" Saintess Jane rubbed her neck feeling bad for the two.
"I don't know what went wrong but it was true that her life didn't have such hardships" Archangel Uriel's First Wing replied with a worried look on her face.
"Even though she had that almighty strength?! I find it hard to believe First Wing, unless... There IS a secret you are keeping from us" First Wing remained silent not taking her eyes off Sister Oriana, "I'm not allowed to say a single word or Archangel Uriel will punish me" she said after a long silence.
"As much as I want to try my luck, I fear things won't end well for us both, so I'll keep that side of mine behaved until YOU can tell me"
"Thank you for understanding Saintess Jane, I'll pay you back"
"Naaah~ I don't need anything, all I need is your safety"
"If only you know how hard it is up there too Hun, you wouldn't be behaving like that" she mumbled before she walked to Sister Oriana's bed to wipe away the sweat forming on her forehead.
Up, far from mortals, in Archangel Uriel's chamber, she lay in her bed breathing heavily. The angels ran back and forth bringing whatever might cool down her temperature.
Archangel Michael wasn't in any better shape, Archangel Gabriel was barely able to hold him back from going to hell and killing The Demons' King. As for Archangel Raphael, he was still on his way after being away for a mission given by God.
"I'm here!!" He swung the door open to check on Archangel Uriel but he halted and his face turned pale when he looked at her and Archangel Michael.
"A- Archangel Michael? Did you and Archangel Uriel connect your souls with mortals?"
"What do you mean by that?" Archangel Michael glared at him before he was stopped by Archangel Gabriel who glared back at him. "Uhmm, it's a long story so let's leave it for later, now we need to focus on getting rid of the link between Archangel Uriel and that demon," he said not noticing the horror on everyone's face.
"Does he refer to the demon Archangel Uriel picked?"
"Yes seems to be that one"
"What did he do to cause our Archangel to be in this state?"
"Silence!!!" Archangel Michael roared making everyone's lips sealed, "Archangel Raphael?"
"It seems the seal is very old to be broken that easily," he said while trembling afraid of Archangel Michael's reaction, but the Archangel did not react at all, all he did was walk out of the room toward his chamber. He entered the contact room and called for The First and Second Wings.
"My lord?"
"Watch over Asher and Oriana and inform me immediately of any other changes in their behaviors" The two nodded their heads and ended the call with him. He leaned back in his seat and sighed, he hid his face with his big hand before he opened his mouth, "It's in times like this I wish we could interfere with humans' maters."
