"Are you done?" Zeke asked, acting like he was tired of waiting.
"Almost" she smiled and took the last bite.
...
Bentlee's POV
Ohhhh I was full, like really full..... I couldn't stand up, but I would never let him know that.
I felt like a big sack of potatoes that had to be pushed or pulled around. I couldn't carry myself any longer.
"Can we leave now?" Zeke asked, unfolding arms that I didn't know were folded.
"Sure, but you haven't paid yet" I answered, trying to get him away from the table.
"I haven't paid? I thought it was every man for themselves" he cocked a brow.
"Who said that? Even if it's true, I'm not a man" I replied with a smile.
Zeke laughed out, previously nonexistent shallow dimples appearing on either side of his cheeks. I never saw them before. They were adorable.
"Oh really..... I'm cool with that" he laughed again, as he made his way to the counter to pay.
I was on a mission right now. A mission to stand without looking like an overfed rat.
I definitely out ate myself, I mean, the shawarma was huge, it was the biggest size I'd ever seen before.
Raising my left foot and planting it down, I placed my left hand on the edge of the table and pulled it, using it as a force to push myself up.
It worked, and my body was finally up from the chair.
My new mission was to walk normally now. It would be almost impossible considering the fact that I was leaning on the table as I stood. It was my only source of support.
I glanced at where he stood, and saw that he was still conversing with the person at the desk.
I knew he could pay at the table but I wanted him gone while I stood.
I took a deep breath and took a step. It wasn't bad, just slightly uncomfortable.
I let go of the table and was happy to see that I didn't fall on the floor.
The footsteps approaching me from behind alerted me that he was done.
"Let's go" he said not stopping.
"Sure thing" I replied and tried walking. I had to pause cause whatttt.
He stopped walking and walked back towards me.
"Don't Tell me..... You... can't walk?" He asked stifling a laugh.
"I won't tell you then" I turned my head towards the other direction and tried helping myself.
He stopped laughing and reached out for me.
Grabbing me, he slid his arm around my waist in an attempt to support me and held my arm with his other hand.
"Now, let's go" he said, again.
"Okay" I said avoiding eye contact with a customer that was staring holes through us.
I know what it looked like..... Couple goals, keep it moving.
Without needing to be told, Zeke walked slowly, not letting me complain about his speed.
"Feels good" I thought and gasped at my own thought, loudly.
"What's wrong?" He stopped and asked in a concerned tone.
"Nothing" I answered too fast.
"Hmmmm"
I liked the feel? What? Noooooo
It's a pseudo thought. I overate after all, that's why. I'm sure that's why.
...
Bentlee wouldn't admit it so easily.
After walking for a while, she felt stronger and could finally walk without needing support.
She pushed him away, knocking him off balance.
Zeke's POV
As we walked together, I felt her getting stronger.
*Wham*
Huh?
What's happening? I thought. Then I realised what just happened.
She pushed me! why??
I lost my balance and started falling, but I didn't let go of her. In fact, I grabbed on tighter.
In the blink of an eye, we were both on the floor.
For a few seconds, we lay there unmoving. Then she got up suddenly, making me stand too.
"Why did you pull me?" She whined.
"Why did you push me?" I added.
She didn't reply, adjusting her outfit, she folded her arms and tilted her waist.
Was she posing for a picture or what?
Then I noticed...
The way she stood accentuated her outfit which I failed to pay attention to up until now.
It was a short-sleeved black crop top that stopped right below her belly button with a blue denim low-rise mini skirt.
Wow, was all I could think.
She looked really good.
"Stop staring or you'll start drooling" she said cocking her brow.
"I don't mind", I replied walking closer to where she stood.
I stopped when I was a breath away from her.
Her breathing changed, that I noticed.
She wasn't folding, and I found that very interesting.
The temptation to get closer until she folded hit like a wave.
Noooooo, I wouldn't do that.
What she did next surprised me even more.
She moved closer, our lips close to each other. I could smell her breath, it smelled soooo good.
Her expression was so alluring and enchanting. I closed my eyes, committing this scene to memory when she spoke.
"Let's go Zeke" she said, pulling away and walking, a small smile playing on her lips.
My face was frozen, I didn't know how to react to that at all.
Wow, just wow.
I decided not to think about it and enjoy it.
We walked for a while enjoying the catastrophic blend of music from different stores all at once and the sound of humans moving through the halls. The blend was weirdly satisfying.
And suddenly, there was a loud sound.
I heard a loud scream and traced it's origin to Bentlee's mouth.
"What? Why did you scream?" I was concerned at this point.
Her palms were covering her mouth as she stood unmoving.
She let one hand go and pointed in one direction.
My eyes travelled in the direction of her hand and searched for what could make her scream so loudly.
My eyes stopped on an olive skinned, tall, black-haired man.
I searched my brain to find if I could recognize him, but it was all to no avail, I didn't know him.
She screamed though, and judging by his appearance, he was most definitely in the entertainment industry.
Unknown to me, her scream had alerted everyone else, the females especially.
And in the blink of an eye, other girls began screaming.
"Donovan Tybur!!!!!" A feminine voice screamed.
Tybur Tybur Tybur, I thought.... Where have I heard that name before?
Then it hit me, Tybur Construction Company.
