"I want to go to Miller Corporation", Bebe said to the person in the driver's seat. "By the way, aren't you supposed to be there as well?"
"Well I took it upon myself to be your personal chauffeur today, so I was excused for today" the man replied.
"Aohhhh", Bebe let out a loud fake gasp. "You of all people ditched work to be a chauffeur? Unbelievable", her palm covered her mouth.
Her display caused him to let out a chuckle. "Not just a chauffeur, but your chauffeur,...... only yours", Kai said locking eye contact with her.
His statement was supposed to mean something very plain and simple, but Bebe's cheeks turned pink at the taught of the phrase, "only yours".
"Are you blushing?" He asked like it was the most natural thing to ask.
"What? No! I'm not! Why would I?" She was too flustered by his question.
He laughed at her terrible attempt to pretend.
"Ugh, you're my chauffeur, so drive me and stop talking so casually to me" she said in a high pitched voice that only came out whenever she was nervous.
He smiled, revealing his pearly whites, said "Yes, ma'am" and stepped on the accelerator.
They arrived a few minutes later and stepped out of the car.
The building was conspicuous and we'll designed. The architecture was quite unique and modern unlike the other companies in the surrounding areas. Red, black, grey, white were the colours that the building was painted with. They were very vibrant and caught the attention of everyone that saw it
The doors and windows were all modern, revolving. As Bebe and Kai walked through the front door, they were greeted by the smell of paper and cool air, similar to that of a bank if not better.
White tiled floors and different colours of walls depending on the essence of the space where the wall was.
They used the elevator to get to the top floor, which was more impressive than the first floor. The environment was very organised, and all the employees were neatly dressed and diligent in their work.
The duo were welcomed by Angelina, the P.A to the head of business management in the company.
She escorted them to the CEO's door and left.
They let themselves in and saw a section of the office in a mess. The stools and some abstract decorations were on the floor, some shattered, others rolling on the floor.
"What happened?" Bebe asked worriedly.
"Nothing..... Just.....incompetence gets on my nerves" Zeke responded.
"Don't throw anything else on the floor, let's talk about what the incompetence was", she said, applying her calming down technique.
He began, "I am supposed to attend a meeting with Del Loona Experience to hear what they have to say about some very important analysis that would be of maximum profit to my company, but a certain employee set the date to clash with my trip to Chile".
"So now you have to pick based on priorities", she summarised.
"Yeah" he sighed.
Silence....
"Hmmm ....Why don't you attend the maximum profit one and I'll go to Chile for you" Bebe said.
"Why would you want to do that?" He asked with squinted eyes.
"To help out my favourite cousin and you know a little sight seeing here and there" she smiled.
He shook his head, but considered what she said.
Bebe studied business management in the university, so the meeting in Chile wouldn't be a problem for her. But he couldn't let her go alone, obviously.
"Then it's decided. You'll go to Chile with Kai" He said finally.
Kai had a look of surprise on his face. Zeke just nodded and shut his eyes tightly making Kai understand.
Bebe had no problem with Kai going with her, she liked his company very much.
"Well I'm hungry" Bebe soliloquised but they all heard.
"Oh right. We couldn't buy snacks because of the incident" Kai slapped his forehead.
Zeke was aware that whenever they were together, something always happened, so he wasn't going to ask about what happened this time.
"Let's go out" Zeke said and they all nodded in agreement.
........
"Me and you, now and forever, more baby more" Bentlee sang in a low tone to a song her mind had unconsciously picked up on.
"Bentlee!" A male voice called after her.
It was Maxwell, she noticed.
"Max" she replied with a smile.
"Lunch?" He asked tilting his head a bit
"Yes please" she sighed.
In the office cafeteria, Bentlee munched on her bread rolls, but this time with a dipping sauce, washing it down with some orange juice.
Maxwell bought corn dogs and ate them with a spicy chili sauce.
"Mmmmmh" moans of pleasure filled the space when he took a bite. Followed by curses. It was so damn good.
What was in this sauce, he wondered.
"Is it that good?" Bentlee said taking another bite of her bread roll.
"It really is" Max wiped the corners of his mouth using a small napkin.
"So....." Maxwell began.
"Nothing about the presentation or work please" Bentlee said immediately, making him chuckle.
"Sure...are you into Music?" He asked randomly.
"Music is the spice of life. So yes, I am" she spoke like a true patriot of the nation of music.
"Favourite song" he asked.
"I don't do favourites" she answered with a laugh.
"Okay, current obsession" he asked.
"There's this song that has been stuck in my head for days, but I don't know what it's called" she rubbed her temple and sighed.
"Do you know any lines in it?" He asked.
"Ummm... You know I da da da can't sleep without your touch da da, you know I love you more than anything. Me and you, now and forever, more baby more." she sang trying to remember certain parts.
"Oh, that song. It's not that good though" he said remembering the lyrics a bit.
"It's stuck in my head though" she replied with a smile.
"Hmmm"
"Since work is a no-no, what are your hobbies?"
"Well, I sing, as you heard a few seconds ago... An angel's voice" she said narcissisticly making him chuckle.
"I agree, you should be given the award for singer of the year. The OGs can't compare" he clapped, nodding in agreement.
"Anything else?"
"I dance, I write, eating at places I haven't been to before it's also a hobby of mine"
"You dance? I'd love to see you do that." He said in an amused tone.
"There's this restaurant that opened up not too far from here, we should go and eat there sometime after the presentation."
"Really? That would be nice. Let me know the time and date whenever" she replied.
He nodded and continued eating.
As they ate in silence, only hearing the sounds of chewing and moaning, they felt a presence staring at them. It was Milan. She just stood there, a few metres away, watching. Bentlee sighed.
"You know her?" Maxwell asked, taking another bite.
"Yeah, we were getting pretty close until she started ignoring me. But it's cool I guess" she replied taking a big bite of her bread roll.
Hmm was his only reply. The lady sat by the table where she stood and kept staring. He was getting the creeps. Are you sure this isn't some kind of serial killer documentary? He asked himself and nervously laughed his silliness off internally, but was still cautious.
