Chapter 21 - healing under the stars

Silently, Benjamin left his room, carefully avoiding waking his sleeping mother. He slipped into the night, like a thief, to gaze at the stars, marveling at their dazzling magnificence. The night sky stretched out before him like a carpet of velvet, dotted with sparkling diamonds. He let himself be carried away by the celestial poetry, feeling his heart racing with excitement. The stars seemed to call him to an unknown adventure, a quest into the unknown. He suddenly felt free, as if he could accomplish anything.

But suddenly, he heard a voice calling him behind him. He turned around and saw his father, Robert, staring at him in astonishment.

"Dad!" exclaimed Benjamin, with palpable excitement in his voice.

What are you doing outside at this hour? You should be in your bed, Robert answered, a little sternly.

Daddy, I'm cured! Benjamin cried, silencing any retort from his father.

Robert gaped in disbelief. He wanted to continue his sermon, but he was interrupted by his son's words.

"What? Huh? Tell me that again!" he said, stunned by what he had just heard.

You are healed ! exclaimed Robert, with a voice full of emotion.

"Yes, Dad," Benjamin replied, with a beaming smile. "All thanks to you, Dad, and that crystal statue that showed me I had a unique power."

Robert, moved, took his son in his arms and hugged him tight. Benjamin, in his father's strong arms, could barely breathe, but he felt something pour over him. When he looked up, he saw that his father was crying, but they weren't tears of sadness, but of joy. Indeed, Robert's heart had been troubled ever since the accident that had caused Benjamin's condition. But now he could finally breathe, because his son was cured, and they would be able to live happily together again.

After a few minutes, Benjamin couldn't help saying to his father: "Dad, you're suffocating me!"

The father then grabbed and apologized to his son, releasing him while keeping a loving hand on his shoulder. They then looked into each other's eyes, smiling with happiness, and Robert said, "I am so proud of you, my son. You have overcome all the hardships and you have become stronger. And now, let's go home, it's late and you need to rest."

Benjamin nodded, smiling, and they headed home, walking side by side, happy and hopeful for the future. The night was now more beautiful than ever, because they knew that tomorrow would be a new day, full of possibilities and challenges to face together.

Celestial poetry had finally led Benjamin to a moment of happiness and healing, and he thanked the stars for that wonderful night. He said to himself that, whatever happened, he would always remember that night when he understood that life was beautiful and that he was capable of facing anything with courage and energy, accompanied by the love of his family.
