Brothers Alexander and Benjamin stood side by side, gazing up at the starry sky as they walked to their neighboring homes. Their father had just left them after an intense conversation and now they wanted to rest.
Suddenly, Alexander turned to his younger brother and asked him a question that burned his lips.
"Benjamin, have you ever dreamed of having access to incredible skills? Gifts that only fairy tale heroes possess?"
Alexander's mysterious tone sparked Benjamin's imagination and together they continued on their way, lost in enchanting thoughts.
The brothers continued on their way under the bright stars, engrossed in a conversation that seemed to come from another world.
"It doesn't matter which one you choose, little brother," Alexander said mystically. "But choose a skill that complements your unique power. It's important."
Benjamin frowned, wondering what his big brother was referring to.
"Why should I do this? If I can choose any one I want?" he asked curiously.
Alexandre smiled, his gaze shining in the night.
"Because, my brother, your chosen skill will be what defines you. It will be the symbol of your strengths and your destiny. So choose carefully."
Benjamin nodded, feeling that those words were more important than he could understand. He closed his eyes and concentrated, imagining the skills he might possess. The wind whispered in his ear that an important choice awaited him.
Alexander patiently explained to Benjamin the implications of his choice of skill.
"Makes sense, right? If you choose, say, a cold skill while your unique power is Earth-bound, do you think you're proficient with it? And do you think you can easily develop it to higher levels? students ?"
He went on to say that it would be difficult, but it also depended on understanding the skill.
"I've seen people take skills that are the opposite of their unique power and do just as well as those who chose a skill related to their unique power," Alexander concludes.
Benjamin thought about those words for a moment, then nodded, saying he understood now. Alexandre smiled, satisfied to have been able to enlighten his brother on this complex question. Together they continued on their way, filled with hope for the future.
"So what did your father say?" asked Maria, their mother, who was waiting for them on the doorstep.
"No worries, mom, tomorrow at 9 am we're all leaving for the crystal world", replied Alexandre with a big smile.
"Very well, go home and wash up and then go to bed. Tomorrow, a long day awaits you," their mother said in a soft voice.
"Yes, mum", answered Benjamin and Alexandre in chorus.
The next day, Benjamin and Alexandre were already at the door, ready to leave with their father, who was due to arrive any minute. The sun was shining high in the sky and the two brothers were excited about what lay ahead.
"Did you take everything with you?" asked the mother, with a hint of concern in her voice. She wanted to make sure her sons didn't leave anything behind before they left.
"Yes, mom, don't worry. I've already checked it three times," replied Alexander confidently.
"Very well. And don't forget to watch over your little brother, if ever something happens to him..." The mother did not have time to finish her sentence when Alexandre cut her off: "I know, mum. He there's no need to remind you of that sort of thing. Otherwise, you'll kill me."
Alexandre had barely finished his sentence when a burn on his left cheek made him wince. A hand mark slowly appeared, as if etched into his skin.
"If anything ever happens to her, I order you to come back here. I will kill you with my own hands," the mother declared, with a cold look that would have made anyone's blood freeze.
Alexandre was stunned and shaken by the slap his mother had just given him. Despite his incredible power of titanic strength, and the fact that he was rank 2 like her, he hadn't seen the attack coming and hadn't had time to react. Over time, Alexander had more and more questions about the incredible power of his mother. It was then that Robert, their father, entered the room.
