As the sun rose, Yu was rudely awoken by the same male servant who had helped him wear the clothes the previous day.
"Wake up, country bumpkin. You need to attend lessons." He said.
Yu got out of the hard bed, which felt quite comfortable to him compared to sleeping in a tree in the cold, on stone, as he stretched out, completely ignoring the young servant who was referring to him as a country bumkin.
He had already learnt how to put on the clothes after watching it once and did so without any issues within just minutes.
The young servant stared slack-jawed at the scene. He was slightly irritated after Yu had ignored him but had realised that Yu would have to come to him sooner or later for help with wearing his clothes, which was why he had remained silent, just waiting by the entrance to the room.
Unfortunately for him, Yu no longer needed his help, and immediately left the room, completely ignoring the servant.
…
"Good! You have arrived before the decided time. Do ensure this practice continues from here onwards." The male butler in charge of training Yu into a 'proper' attendant, spoke in an eloquent tone.
"Don't tell me I have to speak like you?" Yu asked in faint disgust at this tone of speaking. It made him sound like some arrogant prick who looked down on everyone around them claiming them to be peasants.
"Quite the contrary…"
"Good thing I won't be an attendant for too long." Yu sighed out loud as he began the lessons for the day.
On the other hand, after travelling through the night, Morgan, Kai and the unknown messenger finally arrived at a riverbank, where a temporary port had been built. Docked at the port was a large ship, which Kai could not help but marvel at. Not a moment Later Kai recalled the memories he had of the deceased Kai from Earth and his shock immediately vanished as this ship looked like an inconceivable speck of dust compared to the massive interstellar spaceships.
The ship was completely wooden, with metal nails used to hold the entire thing together. It only had a single sail which was currently folded up to prevent the ship from being pulled away by the wind.
There were only three people on the ship, one of them clearly being the captain, one being a fighter equipped with an axe, and the third being a worker who was busy loading up materials from the makeshift port.
"This will be our transport and take us directly to our destination, the man who had been escorting them thus far said as he motioned for every one of get off their horses.
"You can leave your horses here. You will not be needing them on the ship, and we will directly arrive at the destination so there will be no need for them there either."
"…Alright" Morgan agreed and got off, as the 20 knights and Kai followed suit. Kai in particular was elated to have this part of the journey finally completed. He had the feeling that if he continued sitting on horseback much longer, not only would his behind collapse, but his inner thighs would be worn down to the bones!
…
Unfortunately for him, the journey on the ship was not far better either, as he had emptied his bowels at least a good 20 times along the 10-hour journey until they finally reached calmer waters and finally arrived at their destination, a large port with countless ships entering and exiting.
"Morgan…" A middle-aged man in Black Robes said as he gazed at the bald Morgan in front of him.
"Aaron…" Morgan uttered as he stared at the bearded Aaron.
"You have gone completely bald…"
"I had to donate it to your beard. It was just too patchy…"
…
A moment later, the two were laughing merrily while walking along the port city, heading towards a mansion at its centre, with Aaron's 20 security guards, and Morgan's 20 men in tow.
Clearly, Aaron had likely known how many men Morgan had and had purposely brought the same number, to signify the friendship between the two despite the obvious disparity in status.
Either that, or there was someone who was with this Aaron who had thought about all of this and comes to this decision.
Kai was currently walking, as he looked around. Compared to the villages he knew, this place was far livelier, yet compared the where Yu was, this was still a few grades worse in terms of not just the engineering of buildings and city planning, but also atmosphere and liveliness; which perhaps may be because it was winter here while it was as hot as summer over there.
The guide who had brought them here had already returned to the ship and departed as soon as Morgan and Aaron met together.
…
In a meeting room, Morgan and Aaron were seated facing each other at a large round table, with Kai next to Morgan. Countless dishes of food had been served and Kai was enjoying a nice meal for once.
"You were the Heir to a Count Title…?" Morgan asked after taking a break from eating.
"Kind of. I was prohibited from telling anyone my connection with the Count until I became a Rank 1 Mage. Apparently, this was to 'prevent outside interferences' to my personal growth. Anyhow, I am now a Rank 1 mage, so everything is alright." Aaron spoke, causing Kai to slow his eating to look up and gaze at the middle-aged man. Aaron was still wearing the black robe but was no longer hiding his face using the hood, revealing a slightly darker-skinned man with a weak build and hollowed face. It looked like he was a mummy or a person on their deathbed, however, for some reason, the feeling he gave off was one of intense vigour.
"And the part about the young master of the Battle Hall?"
"That was just a title given to all those below the age of 50 who reach Rank 1. I was part of the battle hall, so I received the title of young master of the battle hall."
"I see. Anyways, what was the danger you had talked about?" Morgan asked to change the topic.
