Nathan hold both of her hands and squeezed them gently. "However, this time... I sincerely do love you, Shandri. You always excite my heart, wife," he said almost in a whisper.
A tear suddenly dropped on Nathan's hand. He wonders where it came from but realizes it is from Shandri.
"Wife, are you crying?" he asked.
He let go of one of her hands and distances himself to look at her. He grabs her chin and tries to raise and lift her face. However, Shandri looks away and pulls back her hand. She slaps his hand and marches ahead of them.
"Wife..."
"Don't walk with me. I want to be alone." cutting Nathan.
Nathan fists his hand while Lael is silently watching them. He could feel the awkwardness and tension in the air.
