Lael was marching down the hallway where Shandri and Nathan walked.
(I asked if we should follow them. He said no, but there he is walking that way.) Aydin said sarcastically in his mind.
He followed him. They stopped at the curtain where Shandri and Nathan entered. From where they are standing, they could hear what the two are talking about.
"Shandri, couldn't we start again?" he said with begging eyes.
However, Shandri is still in the thought about what she heard from Lael.
"I am confused," she blurted out.
Nathan thought that it was her answer to his question.
"Of course. I will be waiting." He hugged her.
Shandri came back to her senses and was surprised. Realized that Nathan was hugging her.
(What happened? Why is he...) she stopped her sentence in her thought when she remembered what happened. (Shit! I just blurted out that I was confused and now he thought that I had answered him. Great!)
Shandri smiled faintly. "Then, please excuse me."
