Chapter 35 - Misunderstanding

It was morning and Sol was done taking his bath. His eyes seemed indifferent as he sat on his bed with the parcel right in front of him. He kept going through the rules of get and over again and he couldn't help but frown.

Thinking about it, the main target will be those who did well in their previous stages. Now the main problem had nothing to do with those who are considered as Rü-Ɗestros (Battle type), it was with the Rü-Ɲætros (Balance type).

While these people were not necessarily direct confrontational beings, they were far deadlier than any other person in this world.

Thinking about it, Sol remembered a few supernatural series where witches could perform rituals from the comfort of their homes and shrines. They were more like long distant killers and their techniques were far different from that of people like them.

They had no Hak or Ren or shit like that, it was purely spells and incantations.

Sol shivered at the thought of going against these people and he had no other choice but to consider a few factors.

"Apart from the ban on using hellfire, there are no rules… this is the jungle, do whatever it takes to survive which means alliances can be formed," Sol said thoughtfully as he considered a few options.

Logically he had no allies here outside the members of the sixth tribe. These sixth tribe members had just awakened their powers and since they missed the first stage, they weren't allowed to participate in the second stage. Naturally, they will be at the bottom of the ranking list but Sol didn't mind.

They are his people, they have been without their powers for a long time, so their battle skills were lacking as well as their mental fortitude. Sending them into this competition is nothing but a good way to get them slaughtered.

This is why Sol personally recommended that they should be exempted from the exam and allowed to start from the bottom of the ranking list after everything.

The strong amongst them will naturally rise up and reach higher levels, that's why he wasn't disturbed by any of these things.

Sighs!

Sol let out a weak smile as he looked out the window and frowned deeply. Outside this, there were more fox spirits than usual roaming around the academy. He didn't know the reason for this but he suspected the firefox queen who was killed earlier was just a distraction to let the others sneak in but considering the emotions she showed before her death and how willing she was to pass on her will to Sol, he was sure she wasn't aware that she was only a pawn in the hands of these people.

Thinking about it, since there are three other fox spirit tribes, why didn't they help?

Why are they appearing only now?

Whatever pushed her to attack this place must have been using her as a sacrificial lamb. But who would dare use a nine-tailed fox queen as a mere pawn?

The thought of it made Sol shudder in fear but he quickly pushed aside this feeling.

This world was far more terrifying than he thought and with each passing day, he was given another reason to feel unsafe here. All he needed now to ensure his survival was strength. He needed to get stronger and the only way to do this is by killing more supernatural beasts and accomplishing more tasks.

Sol shot a glance at his stats one last time before letting out a sad sigh. He simply wore his favorite orange robe with its red fiery flame design on it.

He still had six days before the test so he decided to use this time and look around a bit.

Clank!

As soon as Sol opened the door he was shocked to see Theresa seated beside his door with teary eyes and asleep at the same time.

"I thought she left? Why did she come back?" Sol was stunned as he saw her laying on the bare ground and he frowned.

He could feel emotions surging in him but he quickly suppressed the feeling before it could manifest. Being emotional is a woman's duty, meanwhile, a man must remain logical to survive.

At this point in his life, he didn't need another woman. Natasha alone assures the alliance of an entire clan of fox spirits. What will his relationship with Theresa bring him outside trouble?

If he makes a move on her, he is sure to make an enemy out of the entire vampire race here. He simply ignored her and locked his door behind him.

Thud!

Sol's eyes narrowed as he heard a footstep along the massive hallway and he turned to the left only to see a youth with curly black hair and deadly pale skin. His pupils were blood red and his eyes were filled with obvious hostility.

Cecile Vlad…

Sol frowned deeply as he looked at Theresa who was sleeping on the floor and her brother who seemed like a bomb about to explode.

"Your sister is a nuisance… I suggest you put a leash on her if you don't want to see a scene like this again" Sol's answer was cold and indifferent, worsening the mood even more.

He wasn't someone who would apologize or give an explanation that has nothing to do. He could already sense hostility from the enemy and knew nothing he would say would calm the kid down. Even when he was weak, he wasn't scared of the other heirs…

This time is no different!

Hak!

Grrr!

Fangs sprouted from the mouth of the enemy and claws grew from his fingernails. A stench of blood spread across the hallway as his body seemed to have hardened
