"What is this for, sir?" the waiter asked.
"You know that... do not ask irrelevant questions," Bryan replied. "Now off you go. I'll be expecting results."
The waiter slowly turned around. His eyes were confused and glazed over. It seemed like his mind was somewhere else, and yes, that was true. He was already thinking about what the amount of money that he held in his hands at that moment could do in his life. He recalled the vacation that he'd always promised himself and was even saving towards at that point. He thought about his mother, and how he could surprise her with one or two gifts, He thought about his girlfriend and getting her that phone that she'd been bugging him about.
But, he could lose his job over this. The way Mr. Bryan wanted him to get Scarlet to him was not the way they ran things in Arcane. The waiter thought about running the matter through his boss and was weary of what his boss would say -- he was also worried that the boss would collect the cheque from him and keep the money all to himself. That thought annoyed him.
The waiter shook his head and walked straight to the locker room. He was out of there. He'd find another job.
On his way to the room, he bumped into Roxy.
"Do you know where Scarlet is?" he asked her knowing that Roxy didn't like Scarlet not in the slightest.
"What do you need her for?" Roxy asked, her voice dripping with intense curiosity. She looked all over the waiter as if she suspected something.
"I only asked you where she was..." came his response.
Roxy shrugged. "If you do not want to tell me why you're looking for her, then you would miss her because I just saw her-"
The waiter breezed past her. He didn't have time for Roxy's shenanigans. He rushed to the changing room but only caught a whiff of her perfume. She had only left her minutes ago. He sighed and clicked his tongue in regret.
Just then, an idea occurred to him. He had decided that he was going to keep the money to himself as it was too huge an amount to let go of or to return. So, a substitution would suffice in this situation -- he thought.
"Roxy?" the waiter called, knowing that she was behind him as her curiosity, especially about things regarding Scarlet knew no bounds and had no control.
"Yes?"
"I have someone for you..." he said, his eyes sparkling at his brilliant idea, or so he thought.
"I don't understand..." Roxy replied.
"Just follow m-" the waiter caught himself before he adjusted and continued; "Go to the VIP section... someone is waiting for you there."
"Who's that?" came Roxy's reply.
"You'll see when you get there..." the waiter said." He asked for you and he's filthy rich, Roxy."
After that, he turned around and left, didn't even bother to get back to the locker room for his little duffel bag. The waiter didn't need any of those things any longer. With a smile on his face and his heart bursting with joy, he walked through the front door and given slipped a 50 dollar bill into the hand of one of the bouncers or security men. Off he went.
Roxy's eyes widened at what the waiter said.
"Good..." she said. "I guess it's not only that wench of a girl that gets all the goodies around here..." she continued, "someone of quality has noticed me then. Hmph!" she finished as she flipped her hair and walked to their changing room. She quickly but carefully powdered her face and brushed her hair, putting all the wayward strands of hair back in place. She picked up her matte red lipstick and swiped it across her lips, smacking her plump lips together.
It wasn't that Roxy was bad looking herself, she looked good too -- had a nice body and a presentable facial structure. The features of her face were alright but Roxy had always dreamed of getting a little nose job done. But she still could not help herself from being so jealous and envious of Scarlet.

Bryan Tyson experienced a feeling that he wasn't familiar with. He was anxious. As he watched the lady finish her performance, he looked at his watch and gave the water he'd sent off to get her approximately fifteen minutes to get back to him. However, about forty minutes had passed, and nothing -- no feedback whatsoever.
"Boss, should I go looking for the waiter?"
Bryan thought about this for a split second but shook his head subtly. He didn't want the girl to be frightened and hesitate about coming to him. Bryan thought it best that everything eases into itself and flows in a natural manner. He was sure that the waiter would return as money was a facilitator to a lot of things -- in fact all things -- according to Bryan -- and he'd given the waiter a generous sum.
Just then, while Bryan was typing on his phone, one of his personal guards bent down and murmured something in his ear.
"Who?" Bryan said as he lifted his head. His gaze met a lady who was standing not too far away from them with a smile on her face and her body in a seductive position.
"This wasn't the person I saw," Bryan said quickly, his voice laced with a little irritation.
The personal guard that had asked Bryan if he should go looking for the waiter shifted his weight from one foot to the other. He'd suspected that something had gone awry but his boss hadn't let him act on that hunch. Now, they were seeing a different lady from the one that his boss wanted. And the guard didn't look forward to his boss' reaction to the insubordination.
"Oh..." he said as if catching himself. "Are you here to collect my order, lady?" Bryan asked her with a feigned smile on his face. He'd been on the lookout for the woman he wanted and he'd assumed that this one had come to 'meet' him. But, perhaps she was just another waiter sent to attend to him.
Roxy was mortified.
