Chereads / Reincarnated As An Angel / Chapter 2 - FEAR

Chapter 2 - FEAR

The bright sun rose from the horizon, spreading its rays everywhere, and the deep blue sky slowly turned golden. Birds began their day, flying into the sky as high as they could and enjoying the warmth the sun was spreading.

The luminance glow of the sun was a bit merciful. Rays were directly falling on the balcony bringing hope and aspirations.

Andrew was sitting on his chair and tasting his morning coffee. His face was under the shed of the plants planted right beside him. Some of the rays penetrate through the leaves and reaches his face. But these few shadows were not enough to show his face.

He lifted his head a little and gave a flawless expression in bright daylight with a gentle smile. Looking above, he closed his beautiful eyes and listened to birds chirping. He opened his eyes and stared at the sky turning golden, giving a pearly glow.

*knock* - *knock*

"Almighty wishes to see you, Master." A voice came from behind the door.

"All right," he moved his soft lips and put on his jacket, and left his room which was motionless without him.

From his room, through the corridor to the grand hall where he was supposed to visit, his motion was nonstop, and everyone was glad to see his gentle expression, the address him the movement they saw him passing by.

His hands were on the door handle, and he opened it without sound. His steps were as silent as a night sea. He saw a person in a white outfit sitting on a couch, waiting for his arrival.

"My dear Andrew, what good timing!"

"Thanks. What's the reason you call me? Anything special?"

"Remember I told you about a girl Anna?"

"Oh, Anna…" As the name came to his lip, he had a faint smile, and his eyes had a special glow.

"Yeah, I remember," he swiftly gave an answer looking straight into his eyes.

"I think now is the right time. I want you to be Anna's Guardian. She's just starting her new life, and you will be helpful to her."

"I hope you will fulfil my request" He looked into his eyes, waiting for a promising reply.

"Yeah… I accept your request."

Andrew's face turned confident, and with a reassuring voice, he said, "I will become her Guardian."

The sun was yet to arrive, but Anna's day had already started. She woke up, still in bed, staring at the ceiling. She glanced at the clock hanging on the wall.

'5 am already!', she forcefully closed her eyes, pulled the blanket and hugged the cushion, trying to fall asleep again.

'Ah… It's hard to fall asleep now. Guess I have to get up', Her eyes were no sleepier. Still, she wasn't ready to get up, as if something unseen was stopping her.

Her room was well decorated, reflecting her personality. The walls were white and clean, with a single comfy bed, a simple desk with a mini library opposite, and a sliding closet beside the bed.

Anna was a sweet girl with a cheerful personality and a lovely smile. She was a medical intern doing her final year internship at a hospital. She has the urge to keep learning everything, and she likes to keep gathering new experiences.

Her routine starts with a cup of Coffee which is never hot as she never drinks it on time. She put on her clothes with a clean mind. There was nothing much to do that day, so she planned to come home early.

She entered the hospital, and who knows it would turn out to be her last day of life. She was about to mark her attendance and heard a massive argument in the corridor. She took a look through the glass wall and saw a man with a black hoody holding a school bag and talking with the nurse.

'Oh, I think I have to give this nurse a lecture again! What a day…' she sighed, with this in mind she walks closer to them and noticed,

His whole body was shaking, including his voice, the nurse was not answering correctly, but he kept asking her about someone. His eyes became teary when the nurse ignored him and began to attend to another patient.

His legs became wobbly, and the nurse shouted, "Sir, please leave, or I will call security."

Everyone turned their gaze towards them, and a few of them started taking his side, and on his behalf, they started scolding the nurse for her reckless behavior.

'Why can't she behave well, even just for a day

Anna took steps toward them, and her cold gaze was fixed on the nurse. She got alert when she looked at Anna observing her actions. Her body got feezed, and she began sweating when anna approach them.

Anna asks that man, "Hello, Sir. Can I help you with something?"

"Yeah… Can you please… check… how my brother is doing right now?" replied in a feeble voice, trying to avoid eye contact.

"Sure, let's check it in the Hospital records," she assured and noticed him taking deep breaths. His heart was pounding hard when Anna took him to reception to check the patient list.

"So, what's the name of your brother?" she questioned

"Xiao… Xiao Eridian. He was here because he was hurt," he replied hesitatingly. His eyes were on the computer, trying to find a particular name.

"And what's your name Sir?"

"My name… ah… it's Huan" he replied.

"Do you know the name of the doctor who is treating him?"

"Ah… No, my brother didn't tell me," The man said, turning his gaze.

She searches a lot, and even asked someone to bring the offline records but didn't find anything.

'Strange, how could this happen', she rechecks all the lists and records but the result wasn't favorable.

"I'm sorry, but I didn't find his name here. Perhaps he uses any other name? or maybe he's in another hospital?" she questioned him, wondering how this could happen.

"No… No… No…"

"He… he is here. I know he is here!" he shouted. His eyes turned red. He looked away and muttered something.

He moves to the hospital window, one of his hands was on the glass and he was looking at people through it. His face was relaxed but when he saw two little siblings going home, his expression changed.

A memory appears to him where he sees her brother, his eyes were blacked and had several cuts and bruises everywhere on his body, saying goodbye to him as he was about to leave him forever. Within a blink of a second, he smashed his hand on the glass window. It developed a huge crack and scared the people who were sitting near him.

Anna couldn't understand anything. She's getting bad vibes and doesn't want to go close to him. She tried to step back and move ahead, but she couldn't.

She discussed with the receptionist about that person, but the fact came out that no accident had happened recently. She called the nurse, who was arguing with him and scolded her for a while. Then she questioned her about that person.

She admitted her mistake but answered that she didn't know what was happening. The man approached them, and his heavy feet echoed in reception. His body was filled with anger, and he kept looking here and there.

He asks ruthlessly, "You all are keeping him away from me." With shrunken eyes, he shouted, and rage inside him increased with every word. Anna was immensely afraid of the movement he yelled.

With a deep voice and cold face, he yelled, "You all killed him, didn't you?"

The nurse held one of his hands and said, "Sir, please come this way, don't make any assumptions. We are still checking about the info." She gave Anna a hand sign telling her to leave immediately.

But the man was in no mood. He removes his hand from her abruptly.

"I… I know… I know what you people did… I am going to… call the police. I will tell the police… that you people killed him," he shouted with all his strength and lost his temper.
