Chapter 17 - Mom Appears After Three Days.

The hunt continued to the extent that they forgot they were hungry. If they were in their right minds, they would have felt it but after they gave into their battle maniacal sides, they only felt hunger for battle. After Vorden's fight with the Arion class Aardwolf, he looked around for more Arion class beasts. Rika class beasts were fairly simple to kill now with his improved skills, experience and weapon. At most, it would take him two minutes to kill a Rika class beast. He found some Arion class beasts who were stronger than the Aardwolf but he still defeated them. In three days, he was walking around with torn clothes, a limp left hand, a bursted mouth and a closed eye but the crooked smile was still on his face. He was currently fighting five Rika class Twister Monks, white monkeys with two tails and the ability to use wind. They had an advantage in numbers and speed but it was useless in front of someone who had understood the eminence in shadows and experienced the power of the Shadow art. In just three days, Vorden had transformed from a weak 17 year old boy to a fierce warrior who only took pleasure in killing beasts.

The same could be said for demon king Lith. Even though he had expended the power of his Fire art, the skill of his weapon was still enough to fight beasts. So far, he had fought four Arion class beasts and defeated them but with consequences. His nose was broken, his spectacles were crooked, his upper body was covered in weird scars as it was exposed and his hands were numb and bleeding for fighting for too long but the hunt was like an addictive drug to him and he had become a tyrant in his area, massacring beasts left and right.

In those past days, Vorden had used his Transfiguration skill twice and was already feeling the effects of mind strain but he still continued. His Shadow art's power was also expended so he was limited to only his katana skills, footwork and weapon skill but just like Lith, he had become a tyrant. Even the Arion class beasts felt wary when facing him. His crooked smile always set them on edge.

....

During these past days, Gamora had been checking the recorder and was shocked shitless at what she was seeing. The kids had surpassed the 50 point mark and were still hunting. Vorden currently had 105 points and Lith with 98 points. She thought hard about it because there was no way Low Levels like her sons could kill beasts that many not ignoring the fact that there were Arion class beasts among the many Rika class beasts. "Or…. No way! It can't be possible!" She realized instantly that something was wrong. She quickly rushed from where she was to the wasteland not forgetting to bring food along. Her beloved sons had not eaten for three days straight.

In less than 20 minutes, she had reached the wasteland. She used her Light art to create an explosion. The kids saw it and their eyes lighted up as they quickly finished their battles and made their way towards the point of the explosion.

They reached there fairly fast which shocked their mother the more. Seeing their haggard appearances, she quickly took two green pills from her Storage Ring and kept it in their mouths. Their injuries healed at a visible rate but their fatigue and hunger was still there. The moment she saw them, she knew they had used the family trait, the battle maniacal trait. It was not something they control for long when she even couldn't hold it in for more than 20 minutes.

After they were healed, she gave them the food: a bowl of rice and vegetables with chicken wings, fish soup, eggs and bacon. The kids ate the food greedily like there was no tomorrow. Their hunger was obvious when they asked for more after they were done. Gamora came prepared and gave them more. After they had satiated their hunger, she talked to them with clear pride and happiness in her voice. She was happy they could get this far in just three days. Their potential was insane. They are what you would refer to as monsters. "You did very well and I'm proud of you. You've surpassed the 50 point mark so I will keep my promise and end the training here. We will be returning once you've rested enough." She was expecting them to jump in joy but their reply shook her soul. "No! We don't want to go now!" "We want to continue training. We will finish in two weeks. All we need is food and a new set of clothes and probably some armor."

Gamora looked at them like she was looking at monsters. She herself would be traumatized after that kind of training but here they were feeling expectant to continue training. This was beyond her expectations.

"B..but…." "We just want to continue training. I want to stabilize the power of my Transfiguration art a bit and gain a new skill for the Shadow art. I can feel I'm close to achieving it." Vorden replied. Lith also nodded in affirmation. Gamora could only sigh. The beasts she had summoned didn't take much power from her as she was high leveled for their ranks. The power extracted could be deemed as nonexistent but the fact that her children wanted to train was too much for her. She was still their even if she put them through a tough training. She could already imagine the pain they'd felt and were still motivated to train again. She had no choice but to grant their wishes.

....

"Boy…you need to train. The master doesn't want you in your room all the time." "I don't want to train. It's your problem if I don't want to train." "You better come out or…" "Or what?! You know you would die before you even raise a finger against me." "You…..sigh. Please Young Master Radar. The master will torture me if I don't get this done. Please come with me to train." "And what do I get in return?" "A..anything….anything I can afford." "Hmmmm…o….kay. Let's go." "What were you thinking about?" "What?! I said let's go or do I need to use a PA system?" "N…no let's go."
