In the ruins, Vorden and Lith had cleared almost half of the land. If it was a small land, they could have cleared it completely but the wasteland wasn't something small. After their two week stay did they realize how large and vast the land was. With everything they did, they just got to the outskirts of what they concluded as the first town. They were clearly shocked by this revelation. They also realized they were in the middle of nowhere. Nothing was present just as their mother said with the exception of the summoned beasts and the dilapidated buildings.
Currently, Vorden and Lith were fighting a pack of Crystal Ice Bears with two been at the Arion class level. The had bluish white fur, short ice spikes which run down from the napes of their neck to their unusually long tails, something strange to a bear. Crystal snowflake symbols could be seen on their foreheads. The only difference between the Rika class and Arion class were the small pieces of armor on their chests, shoulders and knees. The beasts mostly focused on mage-like attacks with their leaders, the Arion class beasts having a bit of combat capabilities. Lith was clearly annoyed as he was basically fighting one of his nemesis. Fire against Ice, that was. They had progressed greatly as they had killed 10 out of the forty beasts without going into battle maniacal trait mode. If it was their previous selves, they would have probably suffered some casualties even with their armor but after gaining experience for three weeks, they knew how to go about it even if they were at a disadvantage in numbers or power. The beasts posed a level of threat to Lith but Vorden was unaffected if you ignore the fact that ice was cold. Through these past days, Vorden had been able to level up his Transfiguration skill, Scream Of Chorine by a little so that he could use for at most, two times a day without consequences and three times with mind strain. Even with that, it wasn't enough to breakthrough to gain a new skill but he still knew he was getting close to a breakthrough.
They still had thirty more beasts to kill including the Arion class leaders. When they saw that it was getting anywhere even with their combined attacks and Vorden's sneak attacks with the Dark Mantle and Shadow Steps, Vorden pulled Lith away from the battle ground. His hair started flowing, defying gravity as it turned a snow white color. A giant image of a woman in white robes with six wings behind her and flowing long white hair which reached her knee area appeared behind him. In sync, Vorden and the image opened their mouths. A soft hum pleasing to the ears filled the area. It progressed in pitch gradually causing the beasts to freeze in fear. They first felt unusual serenity and comfort but as the hum progressed, they started feeling danger and the most annoying part was that, they couldn't run away. It was like they were held down by strong chains. They watched in awe and wariness as the now white haired Vorden started floating in air. Unlike the Fire or Chaos art where the destruction was evident, the destructive effect of the Scream Of Chorine was like a person using an eraser to clean someone's unwanted in a test. It was practically erasing something from existence and anything or being caught in it had no chance of coming back. Lith just looked dumbfounded at Vorden like he was looking at a different person. He had seeing that skill before but not this close where he witnessed Vorden literally wiping the bears from existence. It was too dangerous and awesome. Now he understood why his parents had to go through some problems to keep it a secret. Vorden was basically a walking destruction, a Destroyer. If people got information of his power, they would do anything to kill him or recruit him and use him as a weapon which wasn't a very good thing. That was how all the intelligent races in Gassendi, not only humans were. If you can't beat them, join them. Simple right? If they can't kill Vorden they will just have to do anything to woo him for themselves.
"Bro….you basically wiped out a pack of forty bears with just a single skill! This is CRAZY!" Lith exclaimed as Vorden reverted back to his normal form and landed in front of him. They were lucky there was no one around because anyone who saw this would turn greedy or wary or amazed based on their relationship with Vorden. In actual sense, Vorden could be said to be a progenitor. The first person with a full arsenal of Transfiguration art skills and an Innate to top up. He was a demigod if exaggerated.
Vorden just smiled at Lith. Lith looked at him with eyes that screamed," Just say something!!!!" But Vorden just smiled mischievously and that's when Lith saw a certain kind of change in Vorden but he decided to keep quiet or most precisely, he didn't care. Vorden saw a similar thing in Lith but he didn't dwell on it too much. As they were thinking of their next action, they heard a piercing screech and saw the shadow of a huge eagle-like bird. Before they could run, they heard the soothing voice of their mother, Gamora.
The beast got closer and they saw a huge black eagle with golden eyes and metallic sheened wings. Its talons gleamed happily in the sunlight as it hovered over them. Gamora jumped down from the beast, precisely the Fexa class Phantom Eagle Lord. She opened her mouth in shock the moment she landed in front of the kids. "Hi mom" they said in unison but Gamora didn't react. Instead she continued to look at them in shock. She was screaming in her head," WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO MY BELOVEDS!!!!"
