Chapter 7 - Town Centre

As I wake up and stretch, I take a moment to think about what I could do today. I've been wandering these desolate streets for what feels like forever, and I still know nothing about what happened to this town or even what its name is. I've seen the humans struggling to survive, but I haven't been able to get any answers from them. So, I decide to take matters into my own paws and head to the town centre. Maybe I'll finally be able to find out what happened here and what became of the world. With that thought in mind, I start my journey, my tail held high, ready for whatever the day might bring.

As I wake up from a restful slumber, I stretch and shake out my fur. I take a moment to think about what I could do today to pass the time. Suddenly, I remember my desire to find out what happened to this town and its people. I've been wandering these desolate streets for a few days now, and I still know nothing about what happened to this town or even what its name is. I've seen the humans struggling to survive, but I haven't been able to get any answers from them. So, I decide to take matters into my own paws and head to the town centre. Maybe I'll finally be able to find out what happened here and what became of the world.

But where exactly is it?

I begin to consider my options, using my feline instincts to guide me. I decide that the best way to find the town centre would be to follow the main street and to look for the largest or most important-looking building in the area. With that thought in mind, I start my journey, my tail held high, ready for whatever the day might bring.

As I make my way, I carefully scan the buildings around me, searching for the largest and most important-looking one. I find myself drawn to a red brick building that stands taller than the rest. I can see it from a distance and I know that this is my destination. As I approach, I can see that the building is old and decrepit, but it's walls are still standing, and I sense that it may hold the answers I seek.

I slip inside through a broken window, my whiskers twitching as I take in the scene. The air is musty and the walls are covered in cobwebs, but I can see that it was once a grand building. Inside, the walls are decorated with faded murals, and the once plush carpets are now threadbare. But despite its obvious neglect, the building still retains a sense of regality and importance. I start to explore, searching for any clues about what happened to this place and what caused the world to become the desolate wasteland it is today.

The musty smell of old paper and dust fills my nose, and I have to navigate my way through piles of debris and broken furniture. But what catches my eye is the writing on the walls and on the remains of posters and signs. I may not be able to read it, but I recognize the language as Spanish. It's a small piece of familiarity in this foreign and desolate place. I keep searching for more clues

I start by searching through piles of papers and scattered books, and eventually, I come across a plaque on the wall that shows a map and tells me the name of the town - Landow - it's a name that I don't recognize. The details are still unclear, but I feel a sense of satisfaction in knowing the name of the place that I now call home.

I settle down in a quiet corner, surrounded by the knowledge of the town's past, and close my eyes, hoping that I will find some peace tonight. Tomorrow, I will continue my journey and try to piece together what happened to the world, maybe find an old newspaper or something like that.
