Deep within the treasuries realm, Shuyun continued walking.
Without the natural time teller that is the sun, it was hard to tell just how long he had been there. The only light that illuminated the space was that of the glow that sat upon the pillars.
He must've seen at least thousands upon thousands of different weapons. Many shared similarities in looks, aura, or simply color. Even so, at a glance anyone could tell that they were vastly different. Some, at the mere sight, you could identify the elements.
He had seen many. Water, Fire, Wind, Earth, Lighting.
But he had also seen many he did not recognize. Of which, the items in question possess darker energy, or even a grayish white. Aside from the common color stereotypes associated with each element, he wasn't able to relate the odd colors to anything. He had made an assumption of a possibility of darkness, or the power of the night for the first one, as it had given him a similar feeling to that of the 'Night's Extension' Formation. But for the second, not a single idea popped up.
Through out his long walk, Shuyun thought about a weapon that might best fit him. While the premises of the fantasy world giving him great enjoy over the soon ownership of such a treasure, he still couldn't negate the fact of the true purpose of the weapon. Combat.
In fact, many weapons had already caught his eye. The flashiness of the aura, the dominating shape of the item, all related to the many fantastical worlds at home. And while they may look very 'cool', he knew none would actually fit him. Long Swords, Bows, spears, he felt that none were truly his fit.
That was until now.

He moved at a steady pace. Even given the presumed long amount of time he had been traveling, he was not short of breath in the slightest. It was as if even the common properties of the real world didn't exist here.
His eyes traveled back and fourth as he gazed upon the many candidates that were the weapons.
"Deep within the treasury it seems the options are thinner"
As he continued further, he felt the density of the pillars that contained the items decrease.
"Still..."
It was then that his eyes locked onto a weapon. It was the first time he had felt a connection. Before, his interest and focus were tied to the appearance of the item, not the actual utility nor synergy he felt it would have with him.
It appearance was rather basic. Though found in a foreign world, the design felt all too familiar to him.
The Japanese Katana.
It had a long, curved dark gray blade. The dull side of the katana possessed black lines that were evenly spaced between each other down the length of the blade. The handle, completely black in color, seemed as if it itself swallowed the night. Planted within the handle was a dark transparent bead. Maybe because of the lack of light within the realm did the beam possess a dark hue, but the aura felt through the beam of light resting above the pillar felt anything but sinister. The dark colors instead brought a mysterious sense of limitless that Shuyun had a hard time comprehending. Though it was natural, at least he felt it to be, as everything before him was still relatively new to him.
Shuyun approached the pillar that the katana sat above on. Positioning himself right in front of it, he eyes further examined the blade. Another key detail Shuyun noticed was that unlike the other weapons, which had a name engraved upon the pillar, this one didn't. Of course, many other items this deep into the realm also didn't have names. He found the occurrence to be natural, but with the katana before him, he couldn't share the same feeling.
Maybe it was the fact that it was clouded with mystery. Still, he felt that any of the questions he had, Elder Feng or Yeyin could answer.
Finally after what he thought to be hours, Shuyun reached into the beam of blue light. The moment he made contact with the beam of light, the halo which had laid dorm otherwise, shined a bright blue.
As soon as this happened, the light beam before him began to bend around the outside of his hand, sort of splitting granting him access to the weapon in front of him.
Fully extending his arm, Shuyun grasped the handle of the katana.
It should've been that simple.
But as soon as the tips of his fingers touched the handle, he froze.
