The beam of light that had previously engulfed the pillar began dissipating. Sections of the light pillar compiled within each other, shrinking until it fully disappeared from his sight. The previous aura that was present which had made him feel somewhat repelled when in front of the pillar of light also followed in its footsteps.
Now free, the katana fell subject to the realms gravity, allowing Shuyun full control.
It was lighter than expected, though he may have never held a katana in his previous life, he had expected the pounded metal of the katana to have at least some significance in weight. Bringing the blade of the katana closer to him, he carefully examined the edge.
Nothing much.
Really the only two words that came to his mind as he viewed the weapon before him.
It was then Shuyun thought that maybe his choice wasn't the brightest. After all, he had decided to forgive the looks of the items, and instead go for what he felt would be best. Though, he knew his choice was long cemented, as the reason he had suddenly froze was due to the abnormal feeling he had felt around his wrist.
The halo seemed to have had lost its luminesce the moment Shuyun had gotten ahold of the katana. As this was the same item that allowed him to bypass the pillars of light, it wasn't hard to infer that it only allowed its bypass to occur once, prevent anyone from stealing such precious items from the treasury.
And from his knowledge, Shuyun knew only the guests of the queen attained such a gift. For the Academy to be so careful with such high status individuals simply screamed to him its value. Having yet to own anything in this world, he couldn't relate to possessing 'nothing', and naturally, couldn't fully grasp its value.
Grasping the handle of the katana, he swung his arms, drawing a crescent moon in the air with the tip of his blade. He mimicked a fight with his imagination, gathering a feel of using the weapon in a sort of combat setting. Of course, having never touch a katana, much less a real sword of any kind, his experience was next to nothing.
Still, Shuyun felt the katana was a fit for him, neither possessing overbearing weight nor size. Though, because of the lack of appeasement to his eye, he couldn't help but feel a bare of regret. As it was, though he truly decided to disregard looks, deep down, it still held a strong sway.
'Whatever, can't change it now...'
Having finished this quest of his, he looked towards the halo.
"Simply imagine yourself leaving..."
The moment the very thought crossed his mind, he became but a mere image as his being scattered from the realm. Not a trace left behind to know of his embarkment.

Outside the Grand Wooden Door, Gate of the Astoria Treasury
Suddenly viewing the recognizable large wooden door again, Shuyun felt internally relieved. Though he may have never doubted the authenticity of Elder Feng nor the thing that was the blue halo, being in that realm only brought him unease. It was as if he was stranded all alone on a far, distance planet, completely disconnected from life and the true world itself.
As the thought of the blue halo reverberated in his head, he glanced at his wrist. Where once was a shining halo of light circled around his wrist remained nothing but empty air.
It was then that an older figure appeared before him, followed by a beautiful young lady.
"Shuyun, glad you were able to find your choice of an item"
Elder Feng glanced at the relatively basic katana within Shuyuns hand. Again making eye contact with him, any previous worry over the wellbeing or likeliness of his return disappeared from his face.
"With the great length of time you spent within the realm, I had assumed you dead!"
Elder Feng laughed wholeheartedly, hiding the very realistic nature of the situation.
Yeyin also shared the same relief, though not shown visibly, she was glad her time with him was not yet short lived.
"What an odd choice of a weapon, I had not at all ever assumed you to choose sword" Yeyin said as she smiled.
Shuyun once again glanced at the katana within his hand, Yeyins words sparking some of his remaining regret.
"I couldn't say I expected myself to choose such a weapon as well" Shuyun replied with forced chuckled. Yeyin noticed this but said nothing.
Soon after, the large wooden door that led to the treasury slowly closed, leaving violent vibrations in the ground with its wake. Feeling it was the best time, Shuyun asked.
"By the way, Elder, when I choose this weapon, it had nothing informing me of its name, may you happen to know it by chance?"
Elder Feng appeared to take great focus in the weapon for a second. Though it was only a few seconds of silence.
"I am only aware of a few number of notable ones, though the weapon in your possession seems to be one of the many I lack knowledge over."
Elder Feng said as he further stared at the blade.
"Still, though, each and every one of our treasures found within the realm of the treasury are named, and do present it with an engraved pattern within the pillar itself"
Engraved name? Shuyun thought back to the instance. This blade was not the only one that was missing a name. In fact, there were many, to the fact that it should be blatantly obvious to beings especially of Elder Feng's presumed power to easily take notice of.
Still, he had not the power nor ability to question Elder Feng's statement. It was simple, if he didn't know, who would?

It was not long after Shuyun left that an oddity occurred. Many pillars scattered across the infinite plain, which, if Shuyun or any individual was present, would recognize as items without an engraved name, suddenly, disappeared. Not a single piece of evidence regarding their existence left to remain.
It was as if they were never there to begin with...
