Chapter 39 - En route to Training

It was not long after Shuyun had arrived, Elder Feng had teleported the three of them out the large room with the wooden door. It was then that Shuyun was once again greeted with the view of the real world, having been warped in a dimension overwise unknown to him, seeing the emergence of the usual academy refreshed his sense of familiarity.

Walking through the doors of the treasury, It seemed to him that the building of the mystical treasury wasn't an actually building, but a realm in itself. However, the one used to the 'public' of students would then actually enter the building itself, where they could request items at a cost.

Though Shuyun wouldn't call his find fruitful, he had yet to even establish a foundation for the usage of such a weapon. In all, it would just be an eye candy before he could really do anything with it. Maybe such a thought process was just a way of coping, but Shuyun did believe the strongest item within the treasury wouldn't be more than a metal rod in his hand.

"That ends the sort of tour of our academy"

Elder Feng said as he turned to face the duo behind him.

"As today was a long day for the both of you, I say we begin your tempering the following day, what are your thoughts on the matter, Shuyun?"

"That is fine"

Shuyun said as he nodded. He had no qualms with starting his training. In fact, he could say he was excited. It wasn't every day he could practice fighting with a katana. Though, he too had to admit that even with his enthusiasm to start, he was tried, even if all he did was walk. Not only that, but he didn't know just what standards Elder Feng would hold him too, because after all, he wasn't a star athlete or anything of the such in his previous life, so attempting to hold him at the same level of a genius of this world, and that to an elf, a superior human in every way, at that, would only harbor disappointment.

"Well then, Shuyun, you've brought me today many pleasant surprises, I look forward to the beginning of your training tomorrow."

With a slight bow of his body, Elder Feng disappeared from their sight.

After a few moments, Yeyin turned to look at him.

"Do you remember how to get back to your room?"

Returning her gaze, Shuyun smiled as he thought. Imagining returning to his room, the ring on his finger shinned a white light. Following the glow of the white light, his body too disappeared.

Yeyin's eyes focused on the place Shuyun once stood upon. This occurred for only a moment before she looked into a place not too far away. Though, if one were to follow her eyes, nothing would be there.

"Such audacity within the first dome? You must've become too accustom to being let off without warning..."

A figure, who thought herself to be invisible, revealed some shock. Never in her experience of 'watching' people had she been spotted. It wasn't that she was let off, its just most of the young masters and mistresses she had experienced before had escorts or servants too weak to sense her.

She had waited for the while, as she didn't know who the old man was. Though, with the proximity she was within them, paired with the lack of the old mans reaction, she deemed him not to be much.

Normally before she attempted to 'watch' someone, she, of course, would try her best to gauge the strength of her opponents beforehand.

Back at the arena, when her mistress told her to watch them, she had yet to get a feel for the strength they possessed. But as she pushed her luck with distance, waiting outside of the treasury, she found neither of the two, who she presumed to be experts, competent enough to perceive her.

So it did catch her off guard. Still, she had always prepared in the situation that something of similar nature to the current event would occur. Of course, she knew that while the maid had sensed her, it was based purely off of her aura when in concealment, and would have no idea of her identifying features. And because of their location, it would be idiotic to fight within the academy. The last thing she would want was her actions affecting her young mistress.

So of course, the only thing within her realm of options, run.

Immediately, she gathered her energy as she enacted her special technique. Green energy of nature began to gather around her body, seemingly severing her connection to the real world as she seemed to slowly lose trace with reality itself. To aura sensitive elf's, it would've been the equivalent to completely disappearing from the plane of existence. Though her technique didn't do that, for even the queen of elves couldn't do such a thing, instead, it simulated death to the extreme, breaking the mortal shackles that tied her to the world, making her seem as if she didn't exist, completely invisible to the real world.

She quickly sprinted, covering distances of tens of meters in a half a second. She had never had to resort to this technique, as not only had anyone discovered her, as she first gauged her opponents before she 'watched; them, but also because this technique harmed her. For the exchange of near perfect invisibility, she gives the livelihood of her body, slowly deteriorating away her health with its duration.

"Ugh!"

She suddenly coughed up blood from her mouth. Her vison, which had become blurry from the sudden shock, slowly refocused.

Slowly gathering her thoughts from the sudden onslaught, she realized she was still standing. Her whole body was numb as if she was beat repeated with a stone slab. This only served to confuse her. It was as if she was never in motion. Her body suddenly stopped, like something had snagged onto her very soul to hold her in place.

"So quick to run"

A calm voice resounded out from behind her.
