Chapter 10 - (10) A Photographer's Wish

The cherry blossom trees continued to scatter across the land as the wind breezed freely without a care in the world.

"I wouldn't leave you, Hanabi."

"But... Do you truly mean that?"

"Of course. I'll love you, always."

"I'll love you too, Daisuke."

Meanwhile, on the grandstand.

"Oi, Hanabi? You there? Hey." She pinched her cheek, Yuriko asked out of concern.

As oblivious a daydreamer could be. Hanabi Nagahara snapped back to reality, ejected away from her imaginary world. Her face turned red as she made an angry, irritated gesture.

"U-uhm... Is something the matter?" Yuriko's actions were clear and seen. A worried face was all that was left to react towards Hanabi's face. With a strand of confusion, she puts her hands away.

"YURIKO! IT WAS ALREADY STARTING TO GET GOOD!!!"

"Oh boy..."

Her weak and slow punches were considered little to nothing. This was only a way to show ones raging fury inside one's heart. Yuriko did not know how to react, her mind remained blank. Her athletic body stood still as she waited for Hanabi to cool down.

Her restless barrages came to an end. She sat back down, trying to get her pieces altogether.

"Well? Are you okay now?"

"Hmph... A little."

Hanabi was still left annoyed, leaving off the bits of irritation from her face. Yuriko noticed the obvious gesture. She knew it was only fair if she apologized at least.

"Uh, well." She stuttered. "I'm sorry. I didn't know that you were in your world... If ya know what I meant." Yuriko apologized in a sincere manner. Her eyes looked away, minding the feeling of shame and distraught, her whole body was struck by unnecessary humiliation.

"I-it's fine... It's not much of a big deal."

"O-oh... I just had the feeling that you took that way too seriously."

The conversation was roughly loud, at least an ending was found, a good one to be exact. Just like the players on the field, all around. A muscular man approaches the two quiet women. With a towel on his shoulder, he panted more as if the game just ended recently. He was soaking in sweat. The sun remembered to scorch brightly, even if blocked by a thousand clouds, it never forgets.

Hanabi's eyes caught a glimpse of the sweaty Aki. She looked way.

"Hey? Why is it so quiet here? Did our match not satisfy you two?

"No, no! That was never the case!"

Yuriko stood up while Hanabi remained in a sitting position.

"Hahaha! You did really well." She smiled. Symbolizing the sign of pride, she chucked once more. "Heh, thanks." He was flustered.

The vast field was empty. Their football training session only finished a while ago. The Nakayama consisted of very intelligent members. They were widely known in school for being one of the most skilled teams on par with the Narukami squadron, their recent match against one another was like a deer against its natural predator.

The deer would escape its predator's vicious attack, only to emerge victorious in the end. Just by the means of its intelligence.

Her soft hands reached the small camera, she took a single shot of the two masculine students, filling with the atmosphere with pride.

She smiled, out of pure innocence and grace, as she looked at the flapped picture.

The two cheery students did not bother to mind her graceful photography. But it never mattered in the end. "I wonder if he finds me one day, or maybe I will find him instead." She whispered in the heart. Silenced as she did not make a sound.

Hanabi stands up and walks off. "I'll be seeing you guys, later." She waved, with a cheerful smile.

"Oh, you're leaving  Stay safe!"

"Stay lit. Have a good morning."

The three waved and laughed as they said their goodbyes.

"Hmm... Who are you?" A dark figure was near the house of the exhausted Sora. He walked away, leaving no suspicion in people's eyes and minds, without a trace. At least that's what he thought.

"Hey, Kenji-san!" A gleeful girl reached out to him with a soft-spoken voice, she walked towards him.

"Aiko-san?"

"Hey..."

A female came from the brightest of days, she faced forward the man that seemed to walk past from the darkest nights, she smiled once more, as if darkness was her friend. And so if light was his companion.

"I see you're wearing all black today." Aiko mentioned. "With a serious look, too. Are you trying to solve a mystery case or something?"

"What? No, no." He shook his head. "It's... Well..." Upon thinking of a valid reason to say, His words of response ran away, Kenji never thought of this through. Even so, if he did think with his hard and rough brain, what reason would there be to make her approve?

"This should be Sora's house, what are you doing here, anyways?" She asked once more. Kenji hid his expression, but his heart was in a rush full of anxious energy. It pumped faster.

"Erk... Nevermind." She smiled nervously. "Anyway! I finished this character I worked hard on." She took out her phone, showing a photo taken by the artist's fingertips, the image was clear, Kenji's eyes were locked on to the phone screen. Astonished by what he was seeing.

"Woah! I couldn't expect more. Good job, Aiko."

"Hehe... Thanks."

The drawing included of a woman, looking at the setting sun with a man, on an Autumn season. When the leaves turn red, when the young turns old. And when the old can rest.

The door opened, its creaking sound was coming from Sora's household. It was him, with a neat, casual outfit, he was off as he shuts the door.

"Yo! Sora!"

"Oh? Good morning, Aiko-san."

They both waved, but the serious Kenji made an intimidating face.

"I gotta head off, now. Have a good day!"

"It's all good. Stay safe."

Sora waved once more as he walked off.

"Hahaha. He's a nice guy." Her lips formed a smile, she makes a sweet face as Aiko faces back to Kenji.

His gentle steps were on the way to the library. It was only a matter of time before Aishi and Hideyoshi leaves the peaceful building. Sora took out his phone, looking at the recent texts in which he didn't get to read sooner. He was only a few minutes late when the two friends made an early arrival.

"Man..." He scratched his head. "Maybe I should've read these texts as I drank my Jasmine tea..." Sora thought, as if the aftermath of his actions could've ended a lot more better.

"Aww, you're so cute! Aren't you an adorable one?" A familiar voice was heard from a distance, Sora's keen ears heard a young woman's soothing voice.
