Chapter 14 - (14) Summer Skies

A melodical, sentimental piece was played from an undisturbed room. The house was peaceful as beautiful notes were pressed lightly. It made it seem as if a future musician may become known to the vast world.

His fingertips stopped tapping after ending the piece with an elegant tune, he smiled. "Phew," Akihisa inhaled, deeply. "That does it! Hmm... I wonder what I shall do today..." He relaxed his mind as he closed the piano's fall board. Though as they say, the time may come when peace is disrupted. Even towards the most silent days. But does pure silence truly mean peace to everyone? Akihisa's cellphone was vibrating on the table, it appears that he received a call from a friend.

"U-umm. Hello?"

"Momiji! It feels pretty boring lying around watching countless days go by, wanna hang out?"

An invitation to spend time with others is considered something Akihisa would never expect to counter. As for the man he is, he was a lone wolf. But approachable for the few bits.

"H-hang out? Oh, uh... Sure. I've got nothing to do anyway. Where should we meet up?"

"The usual place!"

"... The usual what now?"

"Just come by my house, I'll take ya there."

The conversation continued.

Summer has started as the school holiday broke in not so long ago. The first term exams were tiring, some may find it devastating as well. But in the end, they can temporarily rest as one strives to be a better person.

"Man, I could have been better."

"Sora?"

He showed Hideyoshi his exam results on his phone of the previous exam. In the eyes of Nobuko, there was never anything negative about Sora's results, however...

"I got an 80 on all of the subjects... Somewhere around that range... Man, how am I gonna face my future like thi-"

"DAMN, THOSE ARE SOME GOOD MARKS RIGHT THERE!"

Hideyoshi was in awe, he exclaimed. Despite his proud nature towards Sora, he doesn't seem to be meeting the same perspective as him. A personality of a perfectionist was revealed in an obvious manner, behind the clear curtains.

"I may be close but you score much more than me!'

"Ah? Oh... Thanks. You did well, too."

They were walking as they headed to the train station. The two friends were called over to the pool. The usual summer holiday, new memories were about to be made.

Summer, the hottest season brings us together to feel the tense as many break a sweat. In perspective of Hideyoshi, the time when he once wrote a Tanka.

The vast summer skies,

May tire us till dark nights,

Nor the afternoon,

But once we have reached the end,

Memoirs we may reminisce.

"Ack...!" Sora's face felt as if two hands had slapped him at the same time, out of surprise. "What's wrong, Sora?" Hideyoshi asked, out of concern.

"I've... I've been feeling these weird sensations for the past months. Out of nowhere, it hurts." Sora had revealed his very bizarre issues to Hideyoshi. Concerning him much more in the process.

"Uh, Sora. This isn't about Shirosaki-chan, no?"

"Eh? Why would that be the case, Yoshi-kun?"

Their legs stopped walking, focusing on their current conversation.

"Ah, I shouldn't say such things." Hideyoshi sighed. "Sorry, she's new to us in this friendship. But, does time really matter in this case?" He asked.

"Nope, I don't think so."

"Right?"

They proceed to walk once more. Heading closer to the train station as they noticed crowds surrounding them.

"Well, we should hurry."

"Right back at ya, Yoshi-kun."

They finally entered the train. Blending into the crowd as they hold on to their bags, filled with their personal belongings with the usual summer kit. Sora and Hideyoshi sat at the remaining available seats, avoiding eye contact with strangers next to them.

Although, on the train, the two friends are often anxious about it. Perhaps the crowd was just overwhelming them. Or perhaps it's because of a different reason instead?

"We made it early, Yuki-chan!" Said the friendly tanned female. Aishi and Miyuki had just got to the area. A site in which many eyes are awaited to behold. It was fairly crowded.

"It's my first time hanging out with friends... Thank you for inviting me here."

"Hahaha! It was Daisuke's plan! I'm sure there's gonna be more people here. So, let's just head in."

Miyuki nodded politely as they both entered the zone. Observing the energetic energy from the pool, the citizens laying and sitting on the deck chairs, enjoying the moment as they were shaded by the umbrellas. Miyuki continued to analyze.

Carrying their not-so-heavy bags, they went to the female changing room. Preparing as they wait for the others. They sat on the provided bench inside, opening up their bags as both were curious of what the other friend may wear.

"O-oh! That's cute!"

"Right!? I just bought it not long ago. With the right price for the right lady!"

Complimented by the astonished Miyuki, Aishi had always loved summer. Her tanned skin says it all and that proves it.

Summer, the season when the temperature rises more. The scorching sun says hello. Good morning during the morning. Good afternoon once it reached its peak. And good evening, once it turns dusk.

"What do you have in that bag of yours, Yuki-chan?" Out of curiosity, Aishi asked the second the compliment was received.

"Oh, umm... It's not something to behold. It's quite... Basic." A normal bikini was taken out of the bag. It was the polar opposite for Miyuki. In terms of personal interests, she preferred the cold more. Just like her name, which represents winter. Or perhaps, was this truly the case for her?

Aishi, who started to show a grin. Making it seem as if she was up to something. The tanned female was definitely plotting a scheme, behind that mischievous smirk.

"Hehe, I got an idea."

"Hmm? Eh?"

Sora and Hideyoshi were walking up the stairs. They knew they were getting near towards the wondrous site. The usual, high temperatures. Solitary clouds as the scorching sun burns. It truly takes them back.

Their eyes then set upon the pool. They both smiled.

"Hey, we made it!"

"They should be here by now, no?"

Sora asked as a crimson haired gentleman passed by, strangely, he noticed. He felt a familiar aura.

"Hey, it's been a while, Shimazaki-san."

"M-Momiji-san!?"
