How familiar. Who's that with that very soft voice? He questioned in heart, Sora's eyes looked around as he walked. Wandering of the certain voice that made his bell ring.
"My family would never accept a cat, or even a goldfish in our household." She said. "Ahhh! You're so cute, I just wish I could keep you!" Her hands scrubbed the black feline's head, it purred.
"Huh. Didn't know you liked cats."
"Yes! They're the kind of animals I can't sta..."
She was struck by shock as she remained there like a speechless doll. It seemed as if she was fooling around before the curious Sora made a sudden approach.
"Oh? Hey, a kitty." He reached out his hand, expecting the black feline was a friendly furry friend.
"Ack!"
"Ouch!"
The cat scratched his hands as the shocked Miyuki snapped out of pain, although, signs of injury were never seen on any part of her skin. She was confused for a brief second, but that thought already faded away. Not until her eyes met the minor injuries of her new, recent friend.
"Ah, crap! Are you hurt?" Out of concern, He hurried back to her, searching for a scratch. "Shimazaki-san! I think you should be more concerned about yourself first!" She answered.
"This is just a scratch."
"Well, it seems we both are concerned for each other now."
They were struck by silence, afterwards.
"My apologies for intruding your space, I noticed that when you had such a shocked face. Or I was probably a sudden approach to you." Sora added, as if a small portion of an accident led to the end of the world.
"You don't have to worry so much. I'm fine, see?" In an attempt to calm him down, she brightly smiled.
"Oh? That's good, that's good." In relief, Sora's heart rests.
"Well, I guess I should be going now."
"You're going already? Where?"
They both stood up.
"My friends are waiting for me in the public library. I mustn't let them wait much longer." He answered as he ended it with a laugh.
"O-oh. I see." Miyuki stuttered. "Mhm. You can go now. Stay safe."
"Thank you, Shirosaki-san. Stay safe."
Quiet footsteps, a peaceful walk was what Sora would've expected. But perhaps a peaceful walk would not be the same without its chaotic half.
Miyuki left without a trace, he just noticed. Perhaps she was in a hurry. But if she was in a hurry, why would she stop by the wandering cat? Perhaps that's what people would do when a walking fluff ball happened to be wandering around town. Sora's thoughts continue to race into his mind like athletes in the field nor race cars in the road. But to him, this was only as if he was stuck in a traffic jam. Jammed by intrusive thoughts flying around his head.
The clouds in the blue skies were scattering and diverging away, he could feel the warmth of morning. He smiled as he made a relaxing expression. Sora was relieved.
"Ouch!"
A sudden slap appeared out of the blue, his cheeks on his face turned red. "What was that?" His mind couldn't comprehend what was going on, the feeling of confusion came towards his heart.
"ACK!" His head felt as if it was bumped to a wall. His right palm was on his forehead. "Can I please have a peaceful morning for once!?" He ran to the library, it happened to be near his very location. He made sure he had a library card with him as his presence was sensed in the area.
"Excuse me!"
"Oh, my apologies, you may head in first, miss... Eh?"
Their eyes met once again. An unexpected reunion, Hideyoshi noticed and was left in shock on the table, scratching his head afterwards.
"That Sora... Could that be his girlfriend!?"
"What!?"
They exclaimed in a quiet manner. Hideyoshi's jaw dropped as Aishi's laugh was barely held.
Miyuki heads in as Sora closes the door. Pretending nothing had happened between themselves.
They both went in the same direction and sat at the same table. Under suspicion, their eyes intimidate one another, processing their thoughts as Hideyoshi and Aishi spectated in curiosity. Waiting for one of them to make a move.
"Are you guys dating?"
"No, no."
"A confession, then?"
"Yoshi!"
The curious friends smiled.
"Shirosaki-san?" Sora called, with a soft voice. "I-I only came here because I wanted to meet your friends, again." She replied. "I didn't expect you to come by as well."
"We would say the exact same thing to you, Sora." In-tune, their words and expression synchronized as Hideyoshi and Aishi's face was nothing more but of someone's cunning grin.
"Ah, a friend of a friend. Perhaps you guys have known each other since-"
"Nope. It was not long ago. We've just met her this morning."
Sora, for a brief moment was silent.
"WHA- I mean..." He cleared his throat. "How fast...!" In amazement, his pupils turned to stars from the night sky.
"Do you like reading, Shirosaki-san?"
"Yes, but... I never really went to a library before. In terms of my own free will." She chattered. "I'd only come here just to return some books."
The three friends listened.
"I'd usually stay at home helping my parents. I can never seem to be having my own freedom unless I hear my parents' approval. Which happens quite rarely."
Miyuki's descriptive biography was like that of a bird in its own cage, waiting for its freedom, the time when it can flap her wings freely next to the breezy carefree wind.
"That must've been hard, were your parents that strict?" Aishi asked, once more. "O-oh. Don't mind me asking. I just thought I sounded insensitive."
"Pfft...! It's alright. Although... Perhaps it's just me. I'm quite nervous to go outside, even with my parents approval... Until..." Her eyes turned to Sora, she gave a nervous gesture.
"Ha! I knew it! Sora's been hooki-"
"Shaddup!"
Aishi and Sora, in synchronized exclamation, without marking a loud sound to their surroundings.
"You looked quite the grumpy one when you saw that boy..." Aiko mentioned, as she walked beside Kenji.
"..."
"Oi! Kenji-kun!"
She bumped his head, out of exclamation.
"Ouch! You didn't have to do that!"
"You were ignoring me!"
For a small issue to be encountered, their voices were big, the two yelled at each other.
"It's nothing! Nothing!" Out of frustration, he answered. That was all he could say, straight out of his tongue.
A locked messy cage,
happened to contain a bird,
Waiting to be free,
Next to its beloved flock,
Flapping its wings without care.
