Some time later, they had arrived at the director's office, where they found an old white-haired man named Togashi. He was reading a novel that had been quite successful, with more than a million copies published in less than six months.
Shizune cleared her throat slightly, and the old man quickly put the book away, clearing his throat and adjusting the collar of his shirt. "Oh, it's you Bulma," Togashi, the director, spoke as he looked at the blue-haired girl, who nodded in response. Goku saw the man with a drop of sweat and noticed that he looked somewhat like Roshi.
"I came to present my resignation, as I am pregnant and will no longer be able to continue studying," Bulma explained. She was upset in a way, as she had spent a lot of time working on this project and now had to abandon it. However, she was happy to have Goku by her side, which she valued greatly.
Later:
They were now walking in the direction of the vehicle. Silence reigned between them, but it was already starting to get uncomfortable, so Goku spoke: "Bulma, are you okay?" asked the black-haired man, noticing that his friend had been quite downcast since they left the principal's office a long time ago.
"Y-yes, it's just frustrating to know that I will have to abandon this project, I had made quite a few friends in these years and now I will have to leave everything" Bulma said sadly and Goku listened.
"I'm sorry Bulma, maybe if we hadn't played that you would continue going to your classes and you would be with your friends" added Goku but the girl denied. "Don't apologize, the responsibility is also mine, together we will move forward" Bulma spoke smiling and he nodded, while those words sounded in his mind.
"Let's go?" Bulma asked, starting the vehicle's engine, receiving a nod from the boy. Thus, the two future parents headed elsewhere, hoping to know what the future held for them.
Time after:
The future parents were sitting on a bench in a large park located in the center of Eastern City.
Goku was feeding some bread to some pigeons that were there, although he was also taking advantage of eating the food himself.
Bulma was pensive, looking at the sky, as she had just dropped out of college a few minutes ago. It wasn't that she cared too much about it, but it had been 3 long years at that university. Now all was lost. Shizune had told her that she could resume the course when she was ready, but it wouldn't be the same anymore.
She would start the third year again, of course, but her friends and colleagues would already be in their final year.
'I'm going to take it as a challenge, and like Goku said, I'll get ahead,' Bulma said, outlining a smile on her lips as she looked at the black-haired man, who, upon noticing the look on his friend's face, smiled.
"Can you give me some bread? I also want to feed these pigeons," Bulma said, smiling, while the man spread some bread.
When Bulma broke the bread into pieces to feed the birds, the birds flew off. The blue-haired girl was left with a bead of sweat on her forehead at that act, and Goku scratched the back of his neck nervously.
"The birds don't seem to like you," said the black-eyed boy with a nervous smile.
At that comment, a dark aura surrounded Bulma as her eyes turned into flames of fire.
"What are you hinting at, Goku?!" Bulma asked, getting up from the bench with an unfriendly face.
'N-nothing, of course," replied the boy, quickly moving his hands as he tried to escape.
"Oh yeah...?" Bulma approached him with a gloomy aura, and the remaining birds took flight.
More later.
Bulma's pov.
We were calmly walking down the city street, although Goku had small tears in his eyes.
I had to give him a good lesson; sometimes Goku doesn't measure his words. I guess it's because of his innocence.
Most of the boys greeted me with gawking faces, although when they turned to Goku they did so with hostile faces full of envy and rage. They're quite jealous of him, after all he's walking with a beauty like me, although Goku doesn't seem to have realized it.
Who am I kidding? I think if I had a mind-reading device, the only thing I would see in Goku's head is food and fights. I would even bet my soul on that.
But Goku is changing, slowly but surely. He comes to visit me every day; it's something. We talk, we laugh a lot, we eat, etc., although he always ends up asking "when will the baby come out?"
I don't know what will happen to him when we have our son, or what will happen to me, but I am sure that we will both work hard and move forward.
While we were walking, several girls also stopped to greet Goku with a silly smile, and in this case the enormously hostile gazes were directed at me.
An instinct took hold of me and I clung tightly to Goku's arm, giving them a pugnacious look, so they all ran away from us.
We continued walking a few meters and I continued holding onto Goku's arm, even though we already looked like a couple without being one, although Goku found it strange.
"Hey Bulma, why are you still holding my arm?" he asked while I looked for a quick excuse, because I didn't remember why I was holding onto his arm.
"Ammm... where do you want to go? Do you want to eat something?" I intelligently changed the subject, knowing that Goku couldn't evade my question. I had touched on his favorite subject.
"Sure, let's go to a good place and eat. I'm quite hungry," Goku said with his usual smile, and I nodded, still not letting go of his arm.
End of pov.
Minutes later.
They had arrived at a fast food place called 'Friends' located a few meters away in the center.
They opened the door and saw an old man at the counter next to a young, beautiful girl wearing an apron.
"Fusui!!" Bulma yelled, running towards the brown-haired girl, who did the same, leaving the counter.
The two girls hugged each other with a smile while the black-eyed man watched the scene in confusion.
"Bulma, you haven't come to see me for months," Fusui said. Then she turned to Goku. "From what I see, you've been pretty busy these days, right? Is that the boy you told me about?" she asked.
"That's right, Fusui. This is Son Goku, my... friend," Bulma said, gesturing for Goku to come closer, without much certainty or security. "Goku, this is Fusui, a friend that I met quite a long time ago."
"Nice to meet you, Goku. Come whenever you want to our place. You'll be well cared for," Fusui said, winking at the black-haired man. 'Could it be that her eye itches?' the boy inquired without quite understanding the reason for that gesture.
"*Cough* Oh my god, this cough," Bulma spoke, calling the attention of Fusui and Goku. "How is old Saru?" she asked as they walked to a table.
"He's fine as always," Fusui answered calmly as she took out a notebook to take note of Bulma and Goku's request. "What are you ordering?"
"I'll have my miso ramen as always, and Goku... Well, you better be prepared because your muscles will ache from cooking so much," Bulma spoke nervously.
"Well, I want to ask..." Goku spoke with a hand on his chin, thoughtful. No doubt Fusui had no idea what would happen next at her food joint.
Later:
Fusui was grinding on the kitchen floor, yearning for oxygen in her airless lungs. Saru breathed heavily as he sat on a chair, trying to regain his strength.
"Y-your friend is a machine without a doubt. He has broken the record of your boyfriend, Ken," Saru spoke, looking at his daughter Fusui.
"Y-you're right, but wait... Ken is not my boyfriend!! H-he's just a good friend, and nothing more," the coffee-haired girl said.
Meanwhile, dozens of empty plates adorned the table where Goku and Bulma were sitting. Customers of the site wondered if this boy didn't have a black hole in his stomach.
Bulma was used to it by now, although in a way Goku's metabolism was a box of surprises. Suddenly, Fusui came with a long list, surely it was all that Goku had consumed, because Bulma barely touched what she had asked for.
"T-this is your account, Bulma," Fusui spoke, dejected by the superhuman effort she had put into cooking.
"I-in a way, I expected it, but no problem. Goku, can you wait for us outside?" Bulma asked, looking at him.
The boy came out with a smile on his lips because he and his stomach were already satisfied.
