Chapter 3 - The Message

DAY 2?

I grab my phone and look at all the messages before calling Aiden, my most recent missed call.

"ELI!" he said in a relived but angry tone. "WTF HAPPEND TO YOU!?"

"What do you mean?" I responded, only thinking I had fallen asleep, but his reaction did worry me.

"Everyone is worried, where are you!" He said before I heard the others in the background.

"At my house.. I just woke up."

"You just woke up!? do you know what day it is?!!" I heard Ally say, taking over Aiden's phone.

"Are you ok??" Lilliana's voice made me a bit relaxed, but maybe because she wasn't the only one about to yell into the phone.

"I'm fine, and It's just the next day from the investigation...Tuesday right?" Next thing I heard was everyone's voices clashing against one another before it got very quiet

"Eli, come over to my house," Lucas said in a hush voice, "Everyone's here, they all need to talk to you but refusing to tell me why." That's the last thing I heard before the phone beep, telling me the call was over, I quickly got ready in some pants and a hoodie before waving bye to my mum and leaving to Lucas and Lilliana's house, walking in I saw everyone on the couch as they looked at me, next thing I saw was the Celling as I was tackled in a hug from Aiden, the rest soon joined.

"We were so worried about you" Aiden said.

"You never don't ghost us like that Eli" Ally butt while pushing everyone off of me.

"Guys I'm fine, I just have a lot on my mind" I said, glad I could breathe again, still confused on what's going on.

"Should we tell them?" Lilliana said, but everyone disagreed, talking over one another.

"You don't remember this past day...do you?" Aiden, with a shaky voice asked me.

"No?" curiosity filled me as everyone backed away, sitting down. I finally had time to gather myself and stand up, tossing my bag down and fixing my hair and clothes, sitting in the only free chair left.

"You've been off all of yesterday" Lilliana said, after a long, uncomfortable pause, everyone slowly nodded in agreement.

"I'm not following?" everyone looked at one another and pulled up a msg board that I sent. Everthing finally clicked.
