NIGHT 3
I opened my closet door to find her clothes, all my friends have a small section in my closet for their sleepwear and a spare set of clothes. I put her the clothes on the door knob before stretching. "We can go to the mall if you want, or we can vibe here because we're probably not tired"
"I'd like to go to the mall, it's been a while since we hung out" she smiled "and no, I'm not tired" she'd giggle
"I'll grab some money then" grabbing my bag and wallet, holding the door open for her
"Such a gentleman" she'd say in her most sarcastic tone
"Oh shut up" I lightly shoved her shoulder and led her to my car "Buckle up" she nodded and did so before driving to the mall, which is about 10 minutes away.
"When... are you going to tell them?" she'd look at me saying that.
"I told you I might not... they probably wouldn't trust me after"
"I know but they do trust you Eli" she'd put her hand on my shoulder and smiled "If anything, I trust you"
"Thank you, Ally" We stayed in comfortable silence as my mind was racing and I was driving. Even though it was already almost 10, the mall is always open, I don't think I'd ever seen it closed other when it was under construction. The tiny lights on trees and stores, the light shows that they do are even cooler. They have a few rides as well, it's the best place to go with friends, we go there often after our meets afterschool for the ice cream.
"Want to go on the Farris Wheel, Eli?" she'd look at me with a small smile.
"I'd love to" I smile back, parking my car and helped her out, holding her hand we walked to the Farris Wheel and got on, sitting in front of one another, Ally looking out the window.
"The stars should be bright tonight, there's no moon today" she'd look at me with a smile before sitting back with a sigh. "Thank you for hanging out with me" her smile would grow before she looked out again, we sat in silence before we hit the top
"Do you remember what we all agreed on, when we became friends?"
"Hm?" she'd look down, thinking "To never date one another, right?" her head would tilt as she was saying that.
"Yea," fidgeting, I looked down "I was kind of wanting to remove it"
"Why's that?" she said, chuckling and kicking my foot lightly "Do ya like someone!"
"I just think it's silly now that it's almost halfway through the school year, and we're seniors, kinda restricting romance seems funny" Looking up at her she was smirking and leaning back
"If you tell me who it is, I won't tell anyone~" I never responded to her and got met with a scoff and crossed arms "Meanie"
"Ice cream?" trying to change the subject desperately, tucking my feet back, my response was a simple nod, I've known her long enough to tell she's thinking, Ally most of the time acts like a massive goof all the time, so rarely she'll be silent and thinking, but when she is it's cute, her face is soft and she's off in her own world, the surroundings making no since in her reality. Not until the abrupt stop telling us it's time to get off. I got off and offerd my hand to her as she exited but she didn't take it. Walking silently to the ice cream shop, hands in my pockets before she looked up at me.
"You're a nice person Eli" slightly leaning on me once we were in line, getting off once we started ordering. She got the classic, vannila. I got pistachio, getting our ice cream we sat down. Since she still seemed to be in thinking mode I stayed silent. We stayed there for about fifteen minutes before she snapped out of it, and with a bright smile she spoke again, "Can we go the clothing store!"
"Yes we can" we soon got up and walked together. It was the perfect weather, light breeze, the dim lights around the trees were nice, holding the door to the store, she went in. Looking around in the men's section.
"Eli, I think you should try a new style, like emo, or something"
"Come again?" praying I heard her wrong, I've been told that millions of times in middle and high school.
"Oh you heard me" humming she draped a few clothes around her, grabbing her shoulder I looked her in the eyes.
"No, I've done it before and I looked terrible" I was practically bullied into the style by my old friends. Though all I got was a pout
"One outfit, please?"
sighing, I nooded "One" she happily gathered clothes and handed them to me.
"Are they the appropriate size?" flipping through them, I only had to swap one out before going to check out, buying them.
"I'll put them on when we go home, ok?"
"Sounds good!" she'd take the bag and held it as we wondered more, after many more stores and we start to get tired, I drove her back to my place, and while she changed into her comfortable, pajamas, I did as I said I'd do and put on the clothes she bought me, which made me remember a time in my life I deeply regret. Stepping out to the Hall though, and seeing her happy face just made it better, her smile and happy clapping of herself made me just a little happy. The outfit didn't last long before I to slipped pajamas on and set up the spare mattress that I always keep since someone is usually stayed at my house, the light off, other than the lamp, we curled in our beds and blankets, falling asleep.
