Chapter 7 - Ruler of the Seas approaches

As I was relaxing a couple kilometers above sea level. Laying on a cloud, minding my own business, bothering no one but the weather.

Yes, I was making it very rainy and windy, the kind that would classify as a f###ing calamity. The waves below me reached as high as twenty meters on average, the highest one reached one hundred meters above normal sea level.

Poor coastal towns and cities, if these waves ever reached them I can only imagine the destruction it could cause.

'It's about time I use mana right? Simply influencing the weather with just my will isn't as destructive as I thought it was.'

My reasons for causing such a disturbance was to get a title and to understand how titles are obtained since the first titles I got were due to my emotions and actions, the other was due to a reward.

'Seems like I won't get a destroyer title soon, maybe the "Calamity" title?'

As I prepare my body and mind for my next course of action, I get interrupted by a loud thunder clap.

'Oh yeah, I almost forgot about my lightning, let's put this mana disaster amplification on hold, I wanna mix lightning in this chaotic sea.'

I order the lightning to appear very frequently, thunder claps occurring every millisecond as lightning hit the ocean surface.

'Meh, this is boring, and quite damaging as well, sorry Sea!'

I stopped all of my actions, causing the dark clouds to lighten and let the sun light pierce through its ethereal forms. Gracing the chaotic ocean surface, miraculously, not a single dead sea creature was in sight.

Granted, it wasn't much of a miracle as I made sure the area was devoid of any living beings. My conscience wouldn't allow me to do such a brutal act, my moral grounds were based upon humanity's perspective. As that was what the system deemed appropriate to base my morals upon.

I continued to lay on the clouds, feeling the moisture coating my skin yet not soaking it was quite comforting, it also helped that I liked being cold.

Sometimes, my thoughts always get thrown back to a couple of hours ago, when I finally formed my mana core dubbed by the system itself as:

[Prime Elemental Core]

Wooo? I'm special in some quality at least, excluding the fact that I was born separately from my body and a few other things.

Also, the system introduced something new to itself, lo and behold, parent system never disappoints.

[Status]

[Age: 1 year old]

[Mana Core Purity: 100%]

[Unique Skill: Evolutionary Tree]

'This is cool, yet a bit empty? Only a few lines of text was in the panel. Hmph, system is being lazy.'

[I only show what is necessary]

'Still being lazy, after all, as you always said to me back then, "If you can't exceed your limits, are you even trying?" Why don't you do the same huh?'

[I don't get paid nor do I receive any benefits from doing such an act]

'Hmph, disguising your laziness with excuses don't work on me. I'll have you know that I am an expert at such a profession.'

I continued with my conversation with the system while laying back on the solidified cloud behind me. A couple tens of minutes pass by with me just talking to the system while it responded with a emotionless tone.

Suddenly, the map that I used to navigate with suddenly had a red dot at the very edge of it, slowly approaching the center of my map, which was where I am.

[Legend]

[Red - Hostile, will attack on sight]

[Orange - Mildly hostile, will not attack on sight but may attack you if they sense you are easy prey]

[Green - Peaceful, will not attack unless purposely provoked or certain criterion are fulfilled]

[Blue - Ally, nothing needs to be said]

'Very helpful, really did alleviate my worries, I am not at all intimidated and scared right now.' I thought with sarcasm obvious in my internal monologue.

With all that being said, the red dot was getting closer and closer to me. Since my map was thousands of kilometers wide, I can assume that the hostile is nearing re entry levels of speed.

When it entered a five hundred kilometer radius from me, a panel hovered above the red dot.

[Leirus Phantom Leviathan]

[Ruler of the Seas]

[Extreme Caution is to advised]

A title was flashing above the dot itself, not attached to the panel.

Signifying how impressive such a creature was, making even the system place some attention towards it.

'RULER OF THE SEAS!?!?!? NO WAY I'M FACING THAT!' I immediately flew away as fast as I could, flying opposite of the Leirus' path. Entering nearly beyond re-entry speeds, traveling nearly twenty kilometers a second, sonic booms filled my ears as I desperately flew.

Thankfully, the Leirus was slower than my by a few machs, allowing me to escape unharmed. But boy oh boy, it wasn't called the ruler of the seas for no reason at all.

A few minutes pass and I traveled a couple thousand kilometers, the Leirus dot was gone, but my map was filled with hundreds of other red dots, countless species of leviathans were swarming towards me. Dread flashing across my eyes as I quickly contemplated my options, deciding my next course if action.

Going higher in the sky was useless as these leviathans also had the ability to fly, rendering my only advantage null. Just as I could control water, so could the leviathans to a weaker degree. As long as I am near this body of water, they are essentially just gigantic fishes.

My storm body was mysteriously with me, despite me having traveled thousands of miles. Nonetheless, since it was convenient, I conjured the harshest weather I could make.

Wind so fast and sharp it could cut through metal, lightning flashing and hitting the leviathans with every passing moment. The ocean surface was dyed with blood but no Leviathan died yet.

They weren't called leviathans just for being gargantuan in terms of sizes. Straight below me, a massive mouth similar to that of a octopus's emerged.

Countless wind blades assaulted it from all sides, including in its mouth, but it didn't seem like it was affected at all, at least not visibly.

As it tried to reach me up in the sky by flying and exiting the ocean surface, I quickly wrapped large amounts of water tendrils around its crustacean like body. Suspending it just above the ocean, fighting the pull, it vainly tried to fly to me as hard as it could.

I take this opportunity to charge up an attack, more devastating that what my storm could ever conjure.

Flashes of lightning arcs traveled above me, quickly converging and coalescing to form a huge sphere of pure and raw lightning. Cackling with unrivaled power, I quickly made a decision.

Imbuing my mana into turned the originally blue lightning sphere to a violet shade. Focusing as much as I could, I make it strike the kraken, crustacean like leviathan.

*BOOM*

An ear piercing thunder clap was created as the lightning sphere descended in an instant, striking the suspended leviathan.
