Chapter 10 - You've gotta be ki-

[Empty domain ability available]

[Title Gained]

[Details will be revealed later as the presence of a dire situation will hinder your concentration]

My eyes lit up with joy as I immediately activated my domain ability

Wanting to kill this Leirus as fast as possible.

-Empty Domain Expansion, Enigma Nullifier

A name for my domain instantly came to mind, I smiled at its impressive name, maybe it'll be strong.

*Whoosh*

A blindingly white dome was starting to emerge around me and the Leirus, blocking us in.

When the dome completely blocked us in, I felt at ease, the rage that clouded my mind dissipated, all that was left was

I felt a surge of energy coursing through my body, nigh infinite power at the tip of my fingers.

Feeling like I could launch as many Cataclysmic Thunderbursts as I wanted to.

My arm was slowly growing back as the sea water inside the domain receded, leaving nothing but gray clouds and cackling lightning.

The scenery inside my domain was similar to the Serenity Space, just without the calm water underneath us.

While I was busy admiring my own domain, the Leirus leviathan was menacingly just floating.

Almost as if it doesn't even see my new ability as a threat.

'Let's hope this works once more, maybe I can actually survive?'

Discarding my distracting thoughts, I begin charging up my attacks.

*Zzzt* *Zzzt* *Zzt*

I lifted my palm up, just like last time in a grabbing motion.

Lightning coalesced into a small sphere just above my palm, cackling with raw and destructive energy.

Small tendrils of lightning was occasionally flickering in and out of existence. In mere seconds, gathered energy that rivaled my previous attack.

The sphere slowly grew as I channeled more and more lightning mana towards it. Quickly surpassing my previous use of this by many times.

With a deep exhale, I flicked the sphere towards the Leirus.

[Cataclysmic Thunderburst]

For a moment, I saw the corners of that monster's mouth lift up.

'That didn't happen right? Surely not....'

*BOOOOM* *WHOOSH* *WHOOSH*

I immediately teleported hundreds of kilometers away, evading the the blast of my attack. Making a barrier in front of me to stop the immensely strong shock wave, strong enough to destroy entire mountains.

The domain space shook intensely, I could see pitch black cracks in the sky. The clouds were swept away with the shock wave. A massive dome of pure lightning expanded, large tendrils of lightning spreading across the place.

Feeling the heat even from hundreds of kilometers away, I wondered just how hot it was in the center of the blast.

Slowly, the blast receded, there was no crater, just large charred patches of soil spread throughout the domain space. Pitch black cracks littered the originally calm skies, slowly but surely becoming more numerous.

In the blast epicenter, the Leirus leviathan was floating there, UNHARMED.

'N-no way, h-how?' Panic surfaced on my face as my eyes landed on the unharmed Leirus. Aside from the injuries I already caused it to have.

The black cracks in my domain space receded and appeared on the Leirus' side instead. Also expanding into a dome.

'You've got to be kidding me.'

'We both have domain spaces? Then no wonder, its domain space may very well be damage mitigation or something similar. And that's just its activation effects, what about its empty domain ability?'

Finding countless possibilities in what its domain ability would be, I assumed it was a damage mitigation ability or something similar.

Its pitch black domain clashed with mine, taking over half of it. On my side was a calm and serene landscape, while on the other side, it was just a pitch black abyss. A boundless abyss with seemingly no end to even be seen. Hiding what lurks beneath its pitch black surface.

At the point of impact, where both of our domains clashed, a lifeless gray color emerged. Establishing boundaries between us where both could live without the other interfering. That is, if nothing ever breaks such an equilibrium.

My arm was rapidly regenerating, once more, I was whole, the same could be said for the Leirus. Its charred skin was rapidly separating from its body and being replaced with healthy new outer skin.

Exerting more effort in stabilizing my domain, I made a peculiar discovery. Domain energy, or dubbed by the system as Dominion Energy. Produced by domains, it is uniquely suited to only one individual, the owner of the domain. This energy is much more potent than most, as a unit of this would equal to several dozens for even the weakest domain users.

An idea came to mind, connected to my domain's name, Enigma Nullifier.

'Let's hope you deserve that name of yours, otherwise, well, I'm a goner.'

Similarly, the Leirus was studying my domain, trying to find any visible weaknesses or anything that could be exploited.

It came to a conclusion of sorts as it positioned itself in a aggressive form.

The Leirus attacked with a hastily charged breath attack that rivaled its previous ones in power despite taking far less time.

When it passed through the gray boundary, it quickly dissipated and its energy was redirected to maintaining itself.

'H-hehe?' I almost giggled due to this absurdity, quickly recognizing what type of domain this was.

As if my domain sensed the threat, hundreds of thousands of symbols that conformed to no known language covered its entirety, forming a wall of cryptic runes that seemed to repel attacks.

[Empty domain usually only have one ability, but you in particular have three]

'Three? I've only seen two though? Hmm, will have to find out as It might be immensely useful.'

'Nullifying attacks, these strange symbols, I wonder what's the last one. No doubt about it, this domain is incredibly powerful, not just a game changer, that would be underestimating it.'

I gathered Dominion energy and fused it with lightning, intending to make a different yet similar attack. The only difference is its characteristics, Dominion energy being of the color gray.

While doing so, cryptic runes engraved itself in the sphere. Making it look Enigmatic, seamlessly blending with the sphere, almost as if it was already a part of it.

Meanwhile

*ROARRRRR*

*Bzzt* *Bzzt* *Bzzt*

The Leirus kept attacking the domain, carefully observing the effects and workings of my domain.

Suddenly, my domain transitioned into a dark, shadowy expanse with glowing, ancient symbols floating in the air.

As I observed these symbols that were previously present, I noticed that these symbols pulse with a mystical energy, casting an eerie light that adds to the enigmatic atmosphere it created.

'I don't suppose this is it's third ability? A skin pack? I'm not that disappointed, at least its epic.'

The gray boundary slowly turned black, breaking the equilibrium, the floating symbols rushed forward and covered the other side.

'Time to strike while the iron is hot, I hope that's the correct quote.'

'This makes it the third of today.' I flicked my fingers towards the other side again.

'God, please help me here.'
