"Woah"

Before I could even marvel at what happened, another system notification popped up in front of me, giving me no time to react.

[System assimilation 100%]

[All necessary conditions for system assimilation are met]

[Accept] [Decline]

"Does that mean you'll always be with me?"

I asked with a curious, with a tinge of hope and expectation.

[Affirmative]

"Hehe, I accept it then"

I confirm the decision, thus started another loading bar.

[System assimilation starting.... loading bar feature activated]

[▬...........................]

'Hmmm, I seem to have a certain fate with these loading screens/bars.'

'Anyways, hehe, seems like I'll always be with system from now on.'

As I reveled at the thought of spending time on what I considered to be my parent.

I get interrupted by winds howling intensely, as a large flying creature entered my domain, I.E., the tropical storm which is nearly a hundred kilometers in diameter.

What surprised me most was the stability of this large creature, despite my sustained wind speed being around 80-130 kilometers per hour.

I cover myself with cloudy clothes, as system told me before that it was basic decency.

From there, I approach the large flying creature at speeds that broke the sound barrier, going as fast as re-entry level speeds.

Of course, I used a wind barrier mixed with a bit of water to cancel out the friction I would receive from going at such a high speed.

Within just a few seconds, I found myself in front of a serpentine like creature with wings, resembling that of an eastern dragon. It was a staggering one hundred meters long, with lustrous scales that reflected the light of the sun. This serpentine creature is beautiful but deadly when provoked.

"Ah, isn't this the Aspis Airborne Serpent? It's a lot more intimidating to look at then the images the system showed me."

'But they usually don't fly too far from land..... which means this is either an anomaly or there is nearby land. Of course, nearby would be relative only to the Aspis as they can travel for days without stopping'

'Because in a near fifty kilometer radius from my storm, there is no land at all to be seen, not even beyond the horizon.'

'The Aspis are docile and tame creatures..... mostly. They are inherently hostile to humans, or generally any primates they come into contact with.'

'Which makes me curious, does it rely on sight to judge if something is a human?'

'I've never heard the system categorize me as a primate despite my body.'

'Only one way to find out, hehe.'

I approached the Aspis, only being a couple tens of meters away from it, maintaining a non-aggressive form and peaceful air around me.

The Aspis glanced at me and continue flying to wherever it was going.

'Hmmm, so it doesn't rely on sight, bloodline? Magic? Too much I still don't know'

[AI function activated]

[You are a higher form of storm spirits]

[The Aspis Airborne Serpent recognized you as a spirit with a human form with its mana sensory organs]

The system out of nowhere, made panels appear in front of me. It made me happy that the system was paying attention to me.

[To establish a respectful relationship, I suggest you clear its pathway of any weather disturbances and maintain a peaceful atmosphere around it]

So, I did what the system suggested and cleared the weather around it specifically. Anyways, manipulating my weather wasn't even remotely difficult. It glanced back at me for a bit and nodded its head.

I smiled and waved at it. We stared at each other for a few seconds before the Aspis continue on its journey to wherever it wanted to go.

And, since I want to find land, I should use the Aspis as a reference point, I'll first go to where it came from for a bit.

While doing so, I made my tropical storm domain stay put. Making sure I don't lose track of it while searching for land

[Tracking function activated]

[Trackers charges remaining: 5/5]

[Remaining charges: 4/5]

[Tracker charge placed at the storm body(Alto Pluvia)]

'I recall the system activating back when I was born a couple of days ago, there was a line that said "mildly complex, useless functions still not repaired". Are these the "useless" functions?'

'If so, the system has high standards.'

'Bad for me it seems, I'll have to improve my worth so that the system doesn't regard me as dead-weight.'

Seems like I now have a primary goal to strive for.

[Purpose stat ↑]

I ignored the panel as I was busy thinking about improving my worth in the system's optics.

What I couldn't ignore was the heightening activity of these glowing orbs around me. I touched one of them and it merged with my body. Making me panic a bit.

[Mana stat unlocked]

[Mana stat ↑]

[Warning]

[To maintain your mana stat level, you must form a mana core]

What continued next was a long list of instructions on how to form a mana core.

[Mana stat ↓]

'Hmmm, what to do, what to do. Form a mana core or find land?'

'Objectively speaking, forming a mana core would take time but would speed up my searching process, if I search for land now, I have no doubt that it will take days.'

'Alright, the obvious decision of forming a mana core has been made.'

I searched for a suitable and safe place to form a mana core as this would take a considerable amount of time.

During this process, I met another docile and peaceful creature, it was a living island. This directly fulfills my criteria. But of course, a bit of a discussion has to take place.

When I approached the living island, I immediately established contact with it through my mind. Instinctively as I possessed no skill of such a class.

"Hello?" My young, cheerful voice broke the silence enveloping the living island's mind.

This creature is known as the "Sanctuary Leviathan" or sometimes referred to by the people that saw it as the "Gentle Giant". This is largely due to the fact that they are inherently peaceful and particularly favor small animals that come near it. System trivia for the win.

The Sanctuary Leviathan spoke back in my mind.
