Chapter 20 - Test (1)

On the side not far from Lein, Ron forced his body to move, leaving Lein behind. The terrifying pressure coming from Sanfort made it feel as if his feet were sinking to the ground, turning him into living nails.

George also did the same. While they were struggling, there were dozens of other prospective students who fell and passed without even having a chance to move, but at the same time, 4 prospective students had already made it through the gate.

As for Lein, he was unaffected by the pressure of Sanfort's powerful aura. It was only able to intimidate those below level 20.

Hence, Lein admired the Asmovius Sword and Magic Academy. With this, they managed to cut the time that might otherwise be wasted. With thousands of prospective students about to take the first test, of course it took quite a long time. However, this test actually takes a toll on prospective students who are far behind. Some even managed to go as far as 50 meters, but fell and fainted when they reached their limit. As for those at the forefront, the distance between them and the gate didn't even reach 40 meters. However, not a single one of them raised any complaints. The challenge from beyond the gate was of course far more terrifying than this. How, then, would they dare to complain about their own weakness?

As time went on, the prospective students who fell and fainted lessened; leaving those who excel or who struggle hard. Ron and George had even managed to get quite far, only 25 meters before they reached the gate.

After the 100 or so prospective students made it through the gate, Lein started to walk. He didn't receive any pressure from Sanfort's aura, but in a way he didn't want to stand out. Hence, he stepped slowly as if a strong current of water was crashing into him.

After more than a minute, he was only a dozen paces between him and Ron and George. However, Lein's eyes suddenly widened upon seeing three boys who were the same age as him, but slightly larger in build, who were also struggling to reach the giant gate ahead. They are about 5 meters from his left.

"The three boys?! How did they survive?"

They are Lezzhy, Despa, and Arman. Compared to Lein before, now he could guess Lezzhy's true power. It was certain he was a class 2 swordsman level between 15-20. For a child his age, that is already an extraordinary achievement.

Lein who was curious, slowly stepped towards them and started greeting, "Hey, Boys! How did you guys get here?"

The three of them suddenly turned their heads towards the source of the voice in surprise. During the time they had arrived in the Asmovius Kingdom, never before had anyone else greeted them. However, their expressions immediately turned pale upon seeing the owner of the voice. "ANDES?!"

"How did you get here?!" said Lezzhy after a moment of silence. Meanwhile Despa and Arman only nodded lightly because their questions had been represented by Lezzhy.

That's my question, Damn it!

"Ah, let's head to the gate first and talk afterwards. I want to know how the condition of Astrada Village is." With Lezzhy's abilities, he should be able to pass through the gate. As for the other two boys, they have to rely on luck.

Lein then continued on his way and passed them. Seeing it, the three couldn't contain their surprise. What really happened to the Andes? Would he really make it through the gate? However, that is not the main question! How did he get here?!

"He also brought a strange jug." Lezzhy said in his mind before continuing his heavy stride.

Only moments after, Lein arrived next to Ron and George. Seeing the two of them struggling hard, he had the intention to help them.

"Hey, Ron, George, you guys have magic, right? Why don't you guys use it to get to the gate?" Lein's voice sounded in George's left ear which almost made his heart jump. However, he immediately recognized the owner of the voice and quickly found his composure.

"You mean?" replied George with furrowed brows.

"Ah, I see what you mean, Andes." Ron thought for a few moments about Lein's statement and immediately had an epiphany that made him smile. Didn't Sanfort just say to get to the gate? There's no limit to how you can do it.

Ron then circulated the fire magic in his palm. A ball of red light then appeared and with a slight movement of the hand going in the opposite direction, an explosion occurred that sent his body flying 6 meters forward.

"Thanks, Andes," said Ron with a genuine smile on his face upon seeing the giant gate just a few feet away from him.

Seeing Ron, all the prospective students who were also struggling were shocked. Is that fair? However, seeing Sanfort who didn't express any complaints and only showed an indifferent expression, their faces immediately brightened.

A moment later, another explosion was heard. Those who possessed and understood the same magic as Ron did the same. Not only that, some other magic users like the earth elemental, they made use of it to create a strong pressure from the ground, thus helping them jump and pass the several other prospective students in front.

Other ideas also came from owners of other magic elements; create creativity. With that, more prospective students reached the gate with happy and proud expressions.

However, not all users of the magic element can do the same. Many of them only had defensive magic or only support, so they felt even more desperate and depressed.

Especially for sword users without magic. They depend only on their own body. That was why the majority of the students who fell and fainted were sword users. Only a few among those at level 20 had survived.

"What shall I do, Andes?" George's voice was low and almost desperate. He only had magic that was mostly single target and none of that magic could create an explosion like Ron's.

"I have one way," replied Lein while showing an evil smile.

Despite his suspicions, George could only ask hopefully, "What is it, Andes? I will repay you one way or another in the future if you tell me."

"Fine, but this is probably going to hurt." Lein quickly pulled his arm away, then gave George a hard punch on the buttocks. The movement was too fast even Sanfort didn't have the ability to see the movement. Hence, George was thrown 20 meters forward, landing perfectly on the gate with white smoke rising from his butt.
