George had no preparation whatsoever for that. However, realizing he had arrived at the giant gate, George immediately got up with a happy smile and forgot about the pain in his butt.
Moments later, Ron also arrived at the gate. Looking around him, there were more than 200 prospective students who had arrived before him, among them George who took him by surprise.
"How did you get there first, George?" Ron was too focused on his magic to notice George flying past him.
"Andes hit my butt hard and somehow I got here." The happy smile had not left George's mouth.
Ron just sighed and didn't question George further. To him, Andes is a mysterious figure hiding its true power. Under the pressure of the powerful aura, Andes was even able to give George a heavy punch. Was he even taking this test seriously?
It wasn't long before Ron arrived, there were more than 100 other prospective students who had made it to the gate, among them were Lein, Lezzhy, Despa, and Arman. Now, there are 350 prospective students who are confirmed to take the first test.
On a side not far from them, Sanfort surveyed the 350 prospective students present. Sensing that this was enough, Sanfort gave a nod to the gatekeepers, motioning for them to close the giant gate.
Seeing the giant gate starting to close, all the prospective students outside immediately ran with all their might. However, the pressure that Sanfort was exerting was even twice as strong as before, causing them to fall, vomit, faint; destroy and bury their dreams. The giant gate was tightly shut without a single one of them making it through.
"The first test will start in 10 minutes. I hope that's enough time for you to recover."
Sanfort took long strides towards the tower on the left. Seeing this opportunity, Lein drew closer to Lezzhy and immediately asked, "How did you guys escape the Barbarian Race attack?"
Lezzhy who felt much stronger than Andes, made him feel that he deserved to ask about it first. "I asked first, how did you escape the Barbarian Race attack?"
What an annoying kid! Does he think superior to me?
Lein just let out a deep breath before saying, "When the attack happened, I escaped into the Astorm Forest, found a hiding place there and survived."
"Huh?! You went to the Astorm Forest and survived? Aren't there lots of monsters there?" Despa interrupts the conversation between the two.
"It's hard to believe, but my luck is really good," said Lein while showing a proud smile. He acts like he's a brat who managed to steal 5 candy wrappers in a big store without getting caught.
Lezzhy, Despa, and Arman, they looked at each other with expressions of disbelief. However, they also had no reason not to believe that. Without great luck, how would the Andes survive this horrific attack?
"Now, I want to know how you survived the attack?" Lein continued.
"That's because of you, Andes. Because of our duel that left you injured and unconscious, the three of us decided to hide in Desaint Village, at least until I have the courage to apologize to you and Mr. Anderlecht. You know, your dad was terrible! However, 2 days afterwards, when we decided to return to Astrada Village, everything was destroyed and corpses were scattered about. Even my dad…"
The expressions of the three of them turned gloomy and almost cried when they were silent for a while, before finally Lezzhy continued, "Afterwards, we decided to return to Desaint Village. However, the conditions in Desaint Village turned out to be almost the same as Astrada Village. The three of us were confused whether to feel grateful or depressed at that time. We were spared from 2 major events because of you!"
Damn it! What kind of luck has God prepared for them?!
"But, because my grandfather, Mr. Gessat, who is a class 6 magus, succeeded in creating a barrier magic that the Barbarians couldn't penetrate, thereby protecting and saving many villagers." Despa immediately interrupted the conversation between the two because he realized that Lezzhy had not mentioned his grandfather's great struggle.
Seeing Despa's proud expression, Arman and Lezzhy could only sigh. He told everyone the heroic stories of his grandfather. Perhaps, it would later become a legend passed down in his family.
"Then how's Mr. Anderlecht?" Despa continued.
Hearing that question, Lezzhy and Arman were also curious. The Barbarian Race's attack were truly terrifying. Andes house even suffered extreme devastation. They initially thought that Andes and Mr. Anderlecht died in the invasion. However, looking at the Andes here, does Mr. Anderlecht survived too?
However, before Lein could open his mouth to reply, Sanfort who suddenly appeared among them immediately said, "I hope you guys are recovering. First, you line up according to the fields you are good at. Swords on the left and magic on the right." In Sanfort's right hand, he was holding a black metallic magic stone ball. Occasionally, the magic stone ball emitted a strong magical energy that gave some of the prospective students chills.
Moments later, there were 120 prospective students in the left side while the rest were on the right. Seeing that everything was ready, Sanfort continued, "I'm sure you are curious about the magic stone ball I brought. This is a Magic Detection Orb. With this, you will know how much power and ability you have, which will determine your fate. However, this is of course not the main judgement. Because here, I will also evaluate your magic and sword skills."
Sanfort further explained that he was a class 5 mage and also a late stage swordsman. With his abilities, he was naturally able to judge the magic and sword skills of the prospective students in front of him, even without the Magic Detection Orb. However, of course Sanfort couldn't know the true amount of mana in a person's body. That's why with these two, this evaluation would be perfect.
"As you all know, all living things in this world are born with the 3 basic elements; fire, water, and earth. However, there are also those who are born with the 3 special elements; lightning, wind, and metal."
Sanfort goes on to explain that each of the elements has terrible power if honed properly. However, of course no elemental magic is perfect. All of them have their advantages and disadvantages. For that… "The Asmovius Magic and Sword Academy was created! Train all of you not only with your innate element, but other elements as well. No elemental magic is perfect! To make up for that deficiency, of course you need mastery of other elements and become the strongest!"
Hearing Sanfort's explanation, all the prospective students there became hot with excitement. It made them have no regrets that they had come such a long way to get here. Become the strongest! Those words immediately stuck firmly in their minds.
Sanfort smiled at them. In his mind, how long will that passion last?
"Okay, let's start with the first test," Sanfort continued.
