The duo swam towards the waterfall and that's when Kissa started noticing the waterfall started disappearing.
"That's strange." Kissa thought as they kept on swimming till they got to the end of the pool.
Kissa was the first to emerge from the water and Cairo did after her and he also noticed the waterfall.
"It's an illusion." Cairo said and Kissa nodded before walking out of the pool.
They both noticed another door at the end of the pool. Kissa knocked on the door and something was behind it, she was sure.
Kissa tried to depict the inscriptions on the door but she couldn't get any to open the door.
As soon as she touched the handle of the door, she was pulled into her vision again.
"Say it."
"Say what?"
"Say it now."
Kissa gasped as she mumbled something. The door pulled open and Cairo, who was holding on to her to prevent her from falling, looked through the door.
The whole room behind the door was dark but the only place that stood out was a book, sitting on a concrete altar with light coming from above, shining on the book.
Kissa recognized the book from afar. It was the same book in the drawing Dina made.
Kissa slowly and gently walked towards the book and when she got to the altar, she pulled the book from the altar.
The whole place went silent for a few minutes before it all went back to normal.
She stepped out of the room and looked at the boom well under the blue lights.
The locket around her neck shone even brighter and Kissa took it off before placing it at the sphere hole on the cover of the book and the book clicked open.
The first page Kissa saw had a big inscription, a book of knowledge and secrets.
Layla's figure appeared before them and they got the message. They quickly swam back and dressed before leaving the temple.
It looked like time had quickly gone when they were down there and yes, they weren't wrong.
They soon arrived back at the tent and Kissa changed into her dress before stepping out, yawning.
"Took you long enough to take just a nap." Zahra rolled her eyes as she returned to her seat.
It was already approaching evening and they would be leaving immediately Asim arrived. Kissa signalled to Sabola to get her something to eat.
Sabola left and returned with a small bowl of soup for her to eat. We had given Cairo his on her way back.
Asim soon arrived and they returned to the palace. They still had lots awaiting them in the palace so they had to return to do everything.
As soon as they got to the palace, the compound was still filled with lots of sacks of food being dropped as the royals share from the first day of harvest.
"Welcome back your majesty." The minister for resources bowed when he saw Asim step out of his carriage.
Zahra and Nubia didn't even wait for Asim to dismiss them before they left for their various quarters.
Nubia was still annoyed because Layla was taking her place and now she looked like nothing before Asim. She had tried all her best to convince her father to make her marry Asim and when she finally did, Layla came to ruin the chance of her being the favourite concubine.
Nubia's maids sensed her anger as she stepped into her room so they kept their distance. She may look sweet and harmless but when she's angry, she's more harmful than anyone can imagine.
"What would you like to eat my lady?" Her personal maid asked her.
"Nothing, thank you. I am fine." Nubia replied harshly before storming into the bathroom to take a relaxing shower.
By the time she came out of the bathroom, she met a pitcher if white wine and she started to gulp it in to calm herself.
Kissa slowly returned to her room, quite exhausted. It had been a long day and a long walk too.
As soon as Kissa got to her room, she dismissed Sabola and Ramla before she sat on her bed to read from the book.
"In the beginning, sorceresses weren't born with their curses but a sorceress misused her powers and every power given by nature that is misused will either be taken away forever or cursed."
Kissa rolled her eyes as she kept on reading. She has seen most of it in the scrolls too so it didn't seem new to her till they reached a part that surprised her.
"Kissa."
She wondered how she got into the book of knowledge. She flipped to the next page and to her surprise, she was the one on the next page. Her exact picture.
She would have thought it was Dina but Dina didn't have the eye of Horus and eye of Ra around her eyes.
What piqued her curiosity more was that it was all written about her. It showed nothing else but her name and picture.
As Kissa was about to speak, someone swam out of the water and she almost screamed her head off when a guy stepped out of the pool in the room.
He placed his hands on his lips and she found out she was mute.
"No need to scream princess. I'm not here to hurt you or do anything." He stretched lazily. It's been a while since I stretched this human body.
"Who are you?" Kissa finally forced out.
"It's me of course. Gold. Doesn't my hair say it all?"
