Chapter 44 - A living dead

Dawn was slowly approaching and everyone was surely still asleep.

Gold was standing outside the temple Kissa had visited Zahra the other day, looking around.

He turned into his snake form and crawled into the temple in an insane speed.

He soon got to the door to Dina's room in the temple and he returned to his human form. He touched one of the inscriptions on the wall and he disappeared, appearing in the room.

As his feet touched the ground, the lights came on and he coughed slightly at the dust that rose after the lights came on.

Someone was sitting at a corner in the room, painting something. She had black hair and that same back view Kissa saw when she was there.

"Dina." Gold called and the woman turned back to look at him.

"Looks like she fred you." A slight smile appeared on her lips as she stood up. She walked to him and collected the book he was holding from him.

"What do you plan on doing with the book?" He asked as she dropped it on the nearby table.

"Maybe send it to the future." Dina replied as she dropped her painting brush gently.

"Won't it affect things in the future? You know it is capable of doing things we can't even imagine." Gold pointed out.

"It is actually really predictable for me but not for the rest of you." Dina replied as she looked at the book. "It isn't just a book. I read it all up."

"You did?" Gold looked at her in shock.

"The secrets it hold is enough to kill yes. It hold the secrets enough to make a sorceress rule the whole world." Dina replied as she walked to the dried fountain.

"Then why haven't you taken over the whole world?" Gold raised a brow asking her to back up her words.

"What do I want to use that for? I'm a living dead if you've forgotten." Dina rolled her eyes as she closed her eyes to sense the water underground.

"Oh yeah, good point. In anytime, you're going to fade so there's no point." Gold smirked. "So tell me, what's in the book?"

"Something that'll make you shut your mouth forever because you're a talkative." Dina groaned.

"Me? Talkative? I don't even talk at all. You call this being a talkative?" Gold asked in shock and I'm a second he was thrown back by the force of the water that spilled out of the fountain.

"You really are disturbing me Gold. You know you have things to do before she leaves. It has to be during the perfect timing she's going to confront Asim." Dina replied as she sat at the edge if the already flowing fountain.

"Have you seen what will happen in her future?" Gold and and Dina nodded affirmatively.

"But it's nothing you or anyone should know about. Let it come the way it should and be a shock to all of you." Dina stood up and walked back to her painting.

"You're no fun Dina. Just let me know about it." Gold pleaded but she wouldn't even listen to a word. She sat there just moving her arms like a puppet being controlled and Gold got the cue.

Gold turned to leave before his eyes caught a painting Wich was covered in dust but the face of the person wasn't dusty.

"Should I take it to her?" Gold asked and Dina then looked back from her painting.

"If you want to." Dina replied before keeping quiet again.

Gold walked to the painting and blew on it, then all the dust left the body. He took the painting and immediately disappeared.

Dina looked back with a straight face then at her side where the painting of the last Pharaoh was.

"Our daughter is growing day by day my love, but the enemies wants the opposite for her. I'm scared she'll be a totally different person when's he overcomes all those obstacles my love." Dina said with her expression not changing.

"I really bwant revenge on Asim but we have no choice. Fate has decided what it wants and what it doesn't."

Kissa woke up in her room to see Cairo fast asleep on the floor, holding her hands. A smile spread across her lips as she played with his hair, making him wake up.

"Good morning Kissa." He said in a husky tone, making her blush slightly.

"Good morning Cairo." She replied as they were interrupted by a cough and when they both looked up, they saw Gold carrying a portrait of her.

"Who's this?" Cairo asked her.

"Gold. Surprisingly, he turned out to be half human, half snake." Kissa replied Cairo who looked shocked too.

"Your mother asked me to give you this painting made by her. It would be fit to stay in a place like your pool downstairs so I'll be putting it there." Gold said then disappeared, not even listening to her own opinion.

Kissa sighed before swinging her feet done the bed. "What are you planning on doing today?".Kissa asked Cairo who stretched.

"I'm going to the village today since it's my day off. You have to go and continue with your harvest week activities." Cairo reminded her and she nodded.

He was about to lean in to kiss her forehead when the door was pulled open and he fell on his knees. Just then Lapis walked into the room with a suspicious look.

"Good morning Lady Kissa." She bowed with sarcastic respect.

"And when would you be taught the manners of knock before you enter my room?" Kissa raised her brow questioningly.

"Pardon me my lady. I was just curious if Cairo was here with you and it seems like he is."
