Ania stood with Alan waiting for the arrival of both Mitch and Tom who still hadn't arrived for combat class, she found it strange Tom was going to be late "It's not like him to be late for something, I mean with Mitch it's to be expected" she said as the classroom door swung open and in stumbled Mitch dripping in sweat and breathing heavily. "I can tell you've been working out but could it kill you to have a shower before we do more physical work" Ania held her nose as Mitch removed his shirt and wiped the sweat from his brow "LEAVE YOUR SHIRT ON!" she roared as half the girls in the room stopped to turn and admire the shirtless man.
"Huh why what's the matter?" "So is this your strategy when fighting distract the opponent by being shirtless" Yang called out as Mitch looked across confused "I don't think he notices the attention girls give him" Ania leaned across and whispered to her "Oh I thought he was just playing hard to get and being a playboy" "I guess the dark, mysterious bad boy sort of image works for some girls" "I can see the appeal". "What the hell are you two whispering about" Mitch yelled to them finally putting his shirt back on the free show for the ladies over.
Manji entered into the room followed quickly by Tom as he snuck in behind Alan and Mitch hoping no one would notice the fact he was late but much to his brilliant idea of stealth he felt Ania jab him in the back "And why were you late?" "I had some thinking to do and lost track of time" "Does it have something to do with Sky" "Why would you think that?" "Well Mitch and I saw you with her just before class so I'm assuming something happened, look tell me everything after".
"Alright so for today's class I'm going to be pairing you off and we'll be learning various hand to hand combat techniques. Now some of you may think it's rather pointless but during a fight anything can happen and if you lose your weapon you'll be relying on your own body to defend yourself and could potentially save your life". Everyone walked to the front of the classroom and placed their weapons down before Manji walked through pointing to various people and pairing them together.
Tom had somehow got paired with Sky as he awkwardly looked away considering how he left the last time they were talking "No this isn't the time to act all weird we have things to learn so be professional" he thought to himself slapping both cheeks before turning to face her all signs of whatever he had felt earlier on disappeared as she to seemed to be acting completely professional considering the situation.
Alan was paired with Jaune who shifted nervously on the spot "Ehe I'm not even that great at regular combat so try and take it easy on me" "Don't worry I'll help you learn everything and soon you'll become a natural I'm a great teacher just ask Tom" .
Ania unfortunately was paired with Nigel who grinned leering at the chance for a bit of one on one time with her "Ahaha I'm going to enjoy getting up close and 'personal' with you during this". Rolling her eyes Ania cracked her knuckles "Honestly the only the thing you'll be feeling when this is over will be all the bruises covering your body" she glared at him with those ice cold blue eyes of her but this only seemed to spur Nigel on more.
Finally Mitch had been paired up with Yang as they both stood smiling at each other "Now don't go taking it easy on me just because I'm a girl" "Actually I was just about to tell you to go a bit easy on me" Mitch chuckled as Manji stood at the front of the class facing everyone and began to go through the basic principals behind hand to hand combat.
"Now the main thing to remember when fighting unarmed is to remain in close proximity to your opponent but at the same time not to close so that they can easily lock you out". He proceeded to show a few basic blocking manoeuvres and then how to throw an easy punching combo with a few kicks thrown in. "The other thing to remember is always make sure your opponent doesn't grab you because if that happens you'll be in a spot bother. Alright now feel free to have a little sparring session and practice the moves I taught you guys and I'll come around and help anyone who needs assistance".
"So ermm is it like this?" Jaune tried to awkwardly block one of Alan's slow punches but only ended up tying his hands together and nearly falling forward "Argh this is harder than it looks" "Here I'll do the motion slowly and you can follow me". Step by step Alan showed the hand movements to make for a basic block followed up with a strike as slowly but surely Jaune managed to grasp the basics of it and eventually was able to follow through at a faster pace.
"Oh good you managed to help teach Jaune without my assistance I have to say you're a good teacher" Manji said slapping Alan on the back firmly "Well while I was training and studying back with my parents I also used to help coach my brothers and other relatives who found it much harder than I did" "Hmmm I can see why they made you the leader of your group then". As he went to move on Manji stopped to watch Mitch and Yang who unlike the others taking things more slowly were throwing punches at each other like they intended to harm one another.
Charging forward Yang disappeared as Mitch closed his eyes attempting to hear her out "There!" opening his eyes he blocked a strike from her punch as she twirled around kicking straight towards him while he deflected the blow with his forearm and lunged at her swinging a fiery fist that barely missed her neck.
"Wow you're taking this pretty seriously" she grinned as Mitch laughed "Come on now even against a female like I'd hold back if she's capable of fighting." "I'm glad you think that because otherwise you'd get hurt, just do me a favour and don't ruin the hair" "Wouldn't dream of it" grinning Mitch leapt forward swinging a punch as Yang countered the attack knocking it aside before landing a solid blow to his chin as Mitch staggered back "Feel free to ruin my hair and face though".
Nigel staggered back a purple bump appearing on his face while his knuckles were red from the constant back handing Ania had dished out while keeping his grubby hands away from her. "We were meant to be practicing hand to hand combat not hand to breasts combat" a vein appeared on her forehead as her fist collided with his nose and sent the perve slamming face first into the ground out cold. "Ummm I think you went a bit to hard on him" Manji commented from the side chuckling as he watched Nigel's legs twitching in the air as he mumbled to himself "So near… and yet so farrr".
"It seems everyone in your team is a natural at hand to hand combat" Sky commented as he looked between Alan, Mitch and Ania all easily grasping the basics. "While I wouldn't call their techniques and style sound they are indeed quick at learning and picking up certain combat abilities". As Tom threw a punch towards Sky she stepped back pivoting to the side and locked his arm underneath her elbow just like Manji had shown before throwing her counter punch up as the fist rested on Tom's chin.
"Hey nicely done you've picked it up rather quickly you're a natural" hearing his praise Sky blushed slightly and looked away before turning back to face him "Alright now try coming at me for real". Not holding back Tom leapt towards Sky as went to lock his arm and went a little to late as she grabbed his upper bicep which caused the momentum Tom had gained to continue pushing him forward as suddenly he felt his face squashed between something round and soft.
"KYAHHHHH" Sky screamed as Tom stepped back slightly to see his face had been buried between her chest while his free left hand had groped one of them. "Ummmm" was all Tom could say as Sky lay on the floor bright red and eyes watering while the entire class had stopped to stare at the awkward situation that unfolded. "WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU DOING YOU PERVE" Ania's voice roared from across the room while Mitch had fallen to the floor howling with laughter "Way to take advantage of the situation man" he blurted out tears streaming down his face.
