The door to ATAM's dorm room was kicked violently open as both Alan and Tom glanced up from the books they were reading to see Mitch walking in with Ania slumped over his shoulder. "Don't ask" he grumbled his clothes and hair soaked in water which they found equally as strange but figured if Mitch didn't want to explain then he wasn't going to no matter what. Walking over to the bed he placed Ania gently down before pulling off his sopping wet shirt and hurling it onto his bed "On the bright side I won't need to have a shower now".
Groaning Ania groggily sat up rubbing her head as she glanced around the room in a daze "Ermm where am I?" "Really you don't recall what happened just a few moments ago" Mitch stood next to her shirtless "Did you go for a swim or something" "Alright I guess you really don't remember then". Laying down on his bed Mitch sighed "I suppose I may as well tell all of you then".
"What's the last thing you remember" he asked Ania who thought to herself "Well we were on the train and I had finished talking to you then I was daydreaming out the window". "Alright so we had arrived at the academy and you were still spaced out so I came across to grab you and that's when you freaked the hell out and a weird ice like substance came out from your body freezing the carriage and even my arm". "Hey that was like when we were in the forest and you used it against that Grimm" Tom blurted out as Ania glared at him "Wait you've used this ability before?"
"Look it's a certain ability I possess" "But you already have a semblance and I don't think it's from your weapon?" Alan speculated as Tom chimed in "You also don't have any dust to manipulate" "LOOK I CAN USE IT AND THAT'S ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW" Ania roared leaping up as the room suddenly became slightly colder and her eyes glowed that bright crystal blue colour.
Slamming the door behind Alan and Tom simply stood there stunned by her outburst. "Guys come on she obviously wants to keep that part of her life a secret" "But that ability is unique if we could learn more about it.." "We all have secrets we don't want others to know of" "Not really for me since my parent's always taught me to tell the truth and that secrets can destroy things" "Right and your parents never had secrets they kept from you?" "Nope" "That I find hard to believe" Mitch grumbled as he walked out shutting the door behind.
"Do you have any secrets that you keep from us" Tom turned to Alan who was staring up at the ceiling "Well…" "Really even our leader" "Mitch is right there are certain things that are just to painful to tell others so you keep it to yourself to protect yourself" "Huh that is a strange concept but I suppose plenty of other people live by it". Shutting his book Tom leapt onto his bed and stretched out "I'm done with Professor Oobleck's homework so I think I'm calling it since I want to get up nice and early to talk to him before class" "You two really have a teacher student relationship going don't you" "Perhaps one day I'll be exactly like him" Alan imagined Tom zooming around the room holding a coffee mug and tried to stop himself from bursting into laughter.
Finding her usual spot by the park bench staring out at the flowers Ania dropped down and sighed staring down at the ground "Why do those idiots insist on learning about my past maybe I want it to stay buried…" Flashes of her child hood came filtering back as she violently shook her head before hearing foot steps and leapt up an icy aura surrounding her as Mitch stood there hands raised "Woah, woah don't go freezing me a second time today".
"What the hell do you want" she grumbled sitting back down as he took a seat next to her "I didn't come to hassle you about that ability as far as I'm concerned if you don't want to talk about it then I won't prod" "Right I forgot you had things you wanted to keep buried as well". Mitch opened his flask and took a sip as he held it out while Ania stared down at it "A drink to take the edge off or don't you drink?" "Are you kidding me?" she grabbed it and took a long sip before handing it back "Alright I didn't quiet expect you to drink that smoothly without choking".
They sat staring up at the starry sky for a few minutes sipping the flask between them before Ania finally broke the silence "Look I'm sorry for you know trying to freeze your arm off" "Hey think nothing of it I manipulate fire after all it was a simple case of melting it all away so no harm done". "It's just well I've hurt others before without meaning to…" "Yeah I can tell you haven't quiet got a grasp on that ability of yours but relax if ever you go out of control I'll be there to help fix it with my flames". "….thanks" was all she said before taking another sip and standing up "I think we should head back and perhaps finish off Professor Oobleck's homework since it's due tomorrow" "Ah right that…."
Alan glanced up from his work as he heard the door open and saw Mitch walk in with Ania a much more happy look on her face as he smiled "Good to see you're all fine now, I guess you had something to do with that" "Yeah I guess you could say so" was all Mitch said slumping down onto his table and staring down at the questions they had been assigned before sighing "I'm not bothered doing this" "Baka do it now so you don't fail" Ania yelled at him as he grumbled "Fine then".
Shutting his book Alan leapt up "While I'd love to help you two out I think it's best you figure this stuff out for yourself so with that I bid you good night and I'll see you tomorrow morning" "Yeah enjoy that thing called sleep granted I never get to" Mitch said grabbing an energy drink from the tiny fridge he had placed on his desk taking a sip "Ahh this should help me power through this".
