Morning came around as Alan, Tom and Ania stood outside the classroom waiting for Glynda's lesson while glancing around trying to locate where Mitch was. "Did you even see him come back last night?" Tom asked as both Ania and Alan shook their head "Where you guys actually worried about me" his voice came from behind as they turned around to find him leaning against the wall fully dressed in his uniform "How the hell did you manage that?" "I got changed when you guys left but the question still remains did you guys worry about me" "Hardly I just didn't want you being late for a lesson" Ania growled as he laughed "You make me feel so warm and fuzzy with your feelings Ania".
Professor Glynda appeared but instead of making everyone enter into the classroom she made an announcement "For today's lesson you'll be coming with me to Forever Fall to collect jars of red sap for Professor Peach" "Awesome I love physical work instead of learning" Mitch said jumping up happy to know he wasn't going to listening to some boring lecture.
Everyone seemed eager for their first outing since the entrance exam in the forest as students were separated from their usual teams and sitting together all talking away. Mitch was slumped up against the corner of the carriage hands behind his head and eyes shut as he felt two bodies sit down next to him, gingerly opening one eye he saw Yang and Ruby both sitting there smiling as he sighed "Why do you want to talk to me" "Aww stop being so anti social and grumpy" Ruby said before grabbing Ashura that was lying next to Mitch and unsheathed the blade holding it up in the air staring in awe at the weapon.
"Hey what did I say about taking other peoples weapons" "But we're friends now so its fine right?" "Yeah sure whatever it doesn't bother me" "So you excited to be out doing some field work instead of holed up in those classrooms all day" Yang punched the air as her eyes lit up. "I could go without the supervision but I guess they're worried that the Grimm in the area will attack us" "Well there are some pretty powerful creatures there and since we're only hunters in training they want to ensure we're fully protected".
Standing up Ruby started slashing Ashura through the air "Man this blade is so awesome I can feel the heat radiating from it" "Umm I wouldn't swing it around to much" Mitch said putting his hand out to stop Ruby as suddenly she swung down and unleashed a fireball that raced across the carriage and nearly crashed into Weiss. "…..whoops" Ruby stuttered as Weiss leapt up glaring at her before their team leader realised she would cop and earful for that later on.
"Hey is this seat taken" Tom asked Blake who glanced up from the book she was reading "Nope feel free to sit there". Sitting down he pulled out a book and began reading as well as she dropped hers down to see what he happened to be reading and recognised the fantasy book "Oh you're reading that I've already finished it was awesome" "Really I've only just started it but I'm completely engrossed in the storyline and seeing how the characters develop".
"It's rare to find someone around here who enjoys reading, I'm Blake by the way" "Oh you're part of team RWBY well I'm Tom" "Ah a part of team ATAM they're all very interesting people" "Yeah my team mates are pretty eccentric but surprisingly they all enjoy reading as well" "Hold up even Mitch" "Yep even Mitch as strange as that sounds" "Huh who would've thought…" with the conversation finished they both lifted up their books and resumed reading.
"Soooo how are things with Tom and yourself going" Ania slid down next to Sky who jumped up suddenly "W-whaaat are you talking about" she turned to face Ania who had a grin on her face "Come on now I've seen the way you act around him and look at him it's so completely obvious even if he doesn't see it". "That obvious huh" Sky sat back down and sighed "Well I mean its kind of hard to convey my feelings across to him given well the way he is…." "Yeah he is a special one alright but keep at it I'm sure with time he'll realise your feelings and show them back in kind".
"Hey thanks for hearing me out I don't exactly have any other female friends to discuss this with" she pointed to Lena who was surrounded by guys all flirting with them as she flashed a glare at Ania almost as if to say "Ha look at all the boys I have!" and then there was Tessa who barley spoke at all and kept to herself. "No worries I don't exactly have any female friends to discuss certain things with either" Ania said pointing towards her three male team members who had to be the most useless on all things girl related.
Right at the very back of the train Patrick and his team mates sat there glaring at all the members of team ATAM recalling the punishment they suffered because of them. "Can't believe we got detention and have to do all that crap because of them" Nigel grumbled as Wesley smacked his hand on the chair "Damn and I was going to use that time to try and pick up some girls at the dining area". "Don't worry boys we'll get our revenge on those bastards during this little trip" Patrick's fingers drummed against the glass window as he glared at all of them "The teachers can't always be watching everyone at the same time and when that happens we'll strike and teach those little pests a lesson".
The train pulled up at their stop as everyone jumped off staring in awe down at the beautiful forest that was Forever Fall. Huge giant tree's all with bright red leaves covered the grounds while in the background giant mountains rising up into the clouds could be spotted as a gentle breeze wafted through the area. "Whoa it's so beautiful" Ruby said staring in awe at the place before Professor Glynda turned to face everyone "We'll have you guys split up into two groups and go in separate directions to make this quicker while I'll remain here monitoring everyone and if something is to happen I'll come immediately".
Teams RWBY, JNPR and CRDL went to the east side of the forest while ATAM, SALT and PWND went into the west side. "Wow this place is amazing just look at all the tree's and how high they rise up" Sky walked around glancing up at them before slamming into a tree trunk and falling over. "I suggest you keep an eye on the ground first to avoid any injuries" Tom said extending a hand to help her up "Ehe thanks Tom" she said chuckling before turning to her team mates "Alright everyone start gathering as much of the sap as we can". Adrian and Lena were carrying the crates with the glass as they placed them down picking up one each before walking over to a tree and started to extract out the bright red sap.
"Suppose we should take the tree's over there then" Alan said pointing at a group further away as Mitch sighed "I hope a Grimm or two show up so we can do some fighting" "Only you'd want something deadly and dangerous to happen on a simple errand" Ania rolled her eyes "What is it wrong that I enjoy fighting in life or death situations" "Probably" she grumbled as Alan sighed "Come on guys just carry those crates over so we can get started we don't want to be the last ones back".
"Say isn't team PWND meant to be here helping as well" Tom noticed as they all looked around unable to find any trace of the annoying menaces as Alan growled "Good the further they are away from us the better" "I bet they're off planning something as revenge for us kicking their asses" Mitch popped open his flask and took a drink as Patrick could be seen off high on the hillside staring down at them.
