Chapter 16 - chapter 16

The next morning Artoria could be seen sitting with Sirius discussing the short journey to obtain a new sword for her.

"Well I can displace us there but that's still a pretty wide distance and I have been up all night in my laboratory~"

Artoria deadpanned, but eventually sighed and relented. "I'll restock the gems used in the battle and get you some materials to experiment with, that's enough right?"

"Umu! Good enough. Meet me outside on top of the hill, there's a leyline we can use there." Then he left to grab one more person.

"Lancey get your ass out here!" Sirius shouted n front of a tent. After that multiple pieces of armor, swords, and all arrestments of weaponry could be heard falling over as Lancelot rushed over to Sirius.

".....Yes, uncle?"

"Lancey Lancey Lancey~, did you not hear that we were going to Vivian's place?" He asked with a 'smile'.

"I did, but I had assumed that you were leaving to get His Highness a new sword. Its also been heard that Merlin will be gifting His Highness a sheath for the new sword." Lancelot said, hoping to offset some the irritation he caused for his abusive uncle to lock on to Merlin.

Sirius nodded, knowing what Merlin was gifting Artoria. "Pack up about a weeks worth of supplies, were going to Vivian's place."

"Bu-"

Sirius smiled. "Man Lancey I didn't know you wanted to train so bad. I'll get all the stuff ready for you when we get back!" Then left, leaving a Lancelot that was pale as a ghost.

After a couple of minutes of drawing the magic circle needed to harness the leylines natural mana. Sirius tapped into the very Earths power.

FWOOSH!

Displacing them right in front of Vivian's lake. Then the water started to violently churn and rise, appearing with the tide was an elemental fairy mother, a mother made purely of water.

"I see you have come Arthur Pendragon. Come claim the Sword of Promised Victory, Excalibur."

Artoria kneeled as she took her vows as a king to always be there for her people. That she would kill for her people, and finally that she would die for her people.

Sirius didn't like it but he couldn't stop what Artoria wanted. He was but a friend and advisor, the two of them never seeked anything beyond that, don't even mention Sirius's terrible flirting skills that have allowed him to stay a virgin for the past ten years since he has appeared in Vivian's forest.

"With that done, I would like if Your Highness will allow Lancelot Du Lac and Sirius Wilhelm."

"Of course Fairy Mother." Artoria nodded allowing the three to catch up on all the adventures they have been through.

"Did you have to just appear? You couldn't have walked through the forest to allow me to prepare?" Vivian complained with a huff as she and Sirius talked while Lancelot and Artoria spared with Arondight and Excalibur.

"You made a Mystic Code that will corrupt it's wielder over time?"

Sirius nodded. "That's it's only function. So I am gonna have to find another use for it instead of using it in my remodification of Arcane."

Vivian thought for moment before sighing. "You could travel to Avalon and search for the Six Sub-Bells of the Beginning."

"Six Sub-Bells?" Sirius questioned with a cocked eyebrow.

Vivian nodded. "They are six fairies who, in a deal with the God of Curses Cernunnos to allow them to live on his back, forged Excalibur to fight off the White Titian."

Vivian sighed as she thought about the time they gifted her Excalibur for a limited time so that it could be passed onto Artoria. "The current Cernunnos is a mindless, soulless corpse. But even in such state, he somehow managed to protect Fairy Britain to the very end in his own way, absorbing every lingering curse filling the land onto itself in an attempt to cleanse the fairies from their sins and becoming the seal restraining to certain extent the full manifestation of the Insect of the Abyss."

Sirius listened solemnly before jolting at a phrase. "Insect of the Abyss?"

Vivian nodded. "Oberon-Vortigern, but you have no need to worry about him. He will never appear here." She was sure as the king of fairies was lost a long time ago.

"Vortigern? Ah! I see, Oberon, the king of the Fairies, but this an alternate version of him with him taking Vortigern name and becoming a calamity."

Vivian nodded and Sirius got the whole picture.

"Hey Vivian about that box of horrors I made recently."

"Hmm?"

"When I was transmutating the bubbling mass of organic matter, I kind of mutated my magic circuits and saw a vision of a blank white space and a blank white human with no features other than a mouth and black haze that outlined his figure. Do you know anything about that?"

Sirius said while flaring his now red magic circuits.

Vivian stroked her chin in thought but shook her head in denial as she had no knowledge of such a place. Sirius also shot up in memory of the space. "Oh! There was also a door with an tree engraving on the door as well."

That's when he had an epiphany. He shot up and darted to the library that Vivian had in her house, Vivian followed behind him. He maneuvered around the shelves of book before coming upon his designation. Judaism.

Taking out one book after the other until he finally came upon it. "Got it! The Tree of Life, Sephiroth! Ten Sefirot of nothingness their measure is ten, which has no end. a depth of beginning, a depth of end. the one, finds expression in them all. Sefer Yetzirah -The Book of Formation 1:5"

But then he grew puzzled. "This is a tree signified for divine emotions and represents the afterlife, and connection between the earth and heaven, what was it doing in that space?"

That's when Vivian popped up over his shoulder. "The Celts believe that trees were their ancestors and believed that they were the gate to the underworld and afterlife. So maybe that gate is an entry way to another plane?"

Sirius nodded and then shook his head. "Then why has no one spoken about a white space that held the gate?"

"Maybe it has something to do with you or what you did?"

"Hmm.... Something I did? Alchemy? But I always use al-"

His eyes grew wide. "I transmuted human material. Something of creation, a connection between Heaven and Earth."

He turned to Vivian with a crazed smile. "The transmutation 'rebounded' me to that space! It allowed me to enter it!"

Vivian however frowned. "Haven't you transmuted flesh before? With those wyverns all those years ago?"

Sirius shook his head. "Those were wyverns, this was a human or at least the origin is human, something gifted by god."

He frowned. "However the being that occupies that space had no features for me to go off of. It said that it was 'too early'. then Sirius frowned. "Though it did say next to 'come back soon'. Its best to probably not good to go pissing off a being that might or might no be a divine spirit...."

"And what are you basing that off of?"

"Gut feeling? Though my gut feeling did not me do much good with my dating life...."

"Awww~ is my little brother in need of some female company?" Vivian said as she hugged him from behind with her chest crushing against his back.

"I could teach you or better yet I could be with you personally~"

Sirius turned to her. Her streamline figure, her deep dark black hair that extended down to her lower back, her full C-cup breast, her full lips, her soft face, and her carefree personality. All of it hit Sirius preferences.

He turned back to the book in his hands before questioning her. "Would you honestly be with me? Love me more than that of a brother?"

Vivian was stunned for a second before grinning mischievously. "What happened to not getting together with someone his grandmas age?"

Sirius grinned. "Age is just a number and plus, you knew I was joking before."

Vivian let go of Sirius, making him feel the empty feeling of her presence that no longer was hugging him. Then she sat in his lap wrapping her hands around his neck.

"Did you know that I am not actually that old? I am about as old as that princess that travels with your group, Morgan Le Fay. I also am the Embodiment of Britain and the holder of it's Mystery, it's true ruler. Artoria may rule over the people of Britain, but I rule over the islands themselves."

Sirius smiled. "Why are you telling me this Vivian?" He snaked his arms around his waist dropping the unimportant book in his hand.

But Vivian ignored him as she continued on with her story. "I was born as a divided spirit of the planets soul. I am a pure transcendent existence who, while within the same scope as nature gods born through human worship, am not bound by human rules."

She smile sadly as she continued on with her story.

"I am a fairy that is but an alternate personality of someone else, who was coping with enduring their responsibilities. I am not even my own person, and if you stay with me then you will be stuck in Britain...."

She look down dreading the face Sirius was making only to have a hand lift her up by her chin. "Vivian. If you are an alternate personality then you are different from this person. You are not them, and if staying connected to this person will hurt you in any way then I will free you. You just have to tell me who they are."

"They are.... Its Morgan Le Fay, Artoria's sister."

That information was not what he was expecting at all. "Morgan? She's the original personality? Vivian nodded again. "She grew up with three different roles, Artoria's sister, the Embodiment of Britain's Mystery, and finally a personality that is as evil as a witch."

She looked down and hugged him tighter than before. "I'm just a coping mechanism. I'm not even real...."

"Sigh, Vivian if you can't believe in yourself then believe in me, who believes in you."

They got lost in each others eyes before leaning forward, lips connecting. Melding their bodies into one as the got lost in the passion, but not crossing the line, yet.
