Sirius stood in front of the black gate that had the Qliphoth engraving making a magic circle. When he was done he wiped the accumulated sweat on his brow.
"Finally done! All that's needed now is to displace the mana on the connected magic circle that lays on the leyline!"
Taking out Arcane Sirius stabbed it into the center of the circle. Then it lit up and Sirius used the displaced mana from the leyline to power a ritual.
"The Seven Sins. Pride, Lust, Greed, Gluttony, Envy, Sloth, and Wrath govern the seven circles of hell. Lilith the Mother of all demons. Satan the ruler and aspect of the fallen angel, Lucifer Morningstar."
The door shook, words appearing in the circles.
"The Seven Virtues of Heaven. humility, chastity, charity, temperance, kindness, diligence and patience who govern the second layer of Heaven. The Holy spirit. The Heavenly Father, Yahweh the ruler of Heaven and creator of reality."
The names on the door shook as each of their angelic counterparts appeared. Slowly the names were removed and the engraving of Qliphoth vanished, allowing Sirius to easily push open the door.
What was in the room behind the door was shelves upon shelves of notes and research materials. At the back there was a desk, when Sirius picked up the notebook on the desk he found several words on the cover.
"Hahahaha! Who would have known you were Greek!"
Then he looked further. "You! You crazy bastard! This was your inheritance!"
Several words filled the page that seem to be filled with power. Divine Words. The words gifted to the Greeks by the Olympian Gods that allowed them to use magic that is not lost to the Age of Gods.
But when he looked through the book, only some of the words were salvageable. Connect and Assimilate being the only ones he could inherent before the book collapsed into dust.
Sirius almost lit the room on fire with his alchemy, but he held it in knowing that there might be something else he can salvage from this. That's when he saw it.
A jar holding two eyeballs that had a rainbow glow in them. Sirius almost had a seizure. Mystic Eyes! Not only that but Mystic Eyes that were of the Noble rank!
"Iratus you are something else. I thank you for the gifts!"
Then he took the jar and book and left. When he arrived at the camp there was a gathering of soldiers. "Hey! You can enter the room now~"
Then he left, displacing himself to his laboratory.
…
"Need to hurry."
He had a limited amount of time to study the eyes and maybe implant them.
"I can use the divine words to hasten the process and smooth it over, but I need someone to actually do the operation. Can't have Merlin do it, cause I don't trust the bastard ugh!"
That's when Sirius caught something currently sitting in the corner collecting dust, the automaton he snatched from the bandit fortress. He thought it over and over again before smiling to himself.
"Soon I will have my surgeon~"
…
"So you will not be marching with us on Vortigern, but will be able to arrive instantly if I have this gem with me?"
Artoria along with Sirius and his newly designed golem could be seen on top of a hill.
Sirius nodded as he set up the magic circle over the leyline him, Artoria, and Lancelot used to go to Vivian's lake. He turned to her. "Listen, Artoria. I would travel with you if it had not been for what I discovered, but once I do this I could gain a new card to use against Vortigern in the incoming battle."
Artoria mulled over it but nodded anyway. "Go. I trust you. After all we have been through together I would be a fool not to." She stated with a smile. "You are one of the only true friends I have with everyone else being a vassal or fellow and teacher. So go, do what you have to do."
Sirius smiled brightly before hugging Artoria. "Thank you Artoria. I will always have your back!" Then he disappeared in a flash as he and the golem teleported to Vivian's place.
Artoria stared at the place Sirius was just at and smiled. "I will always have yours too, Sirius....."
…
Once he got to Vivian's place he quickly caught her up on what was happening.
"So the knights and Leodegrance will march on Vortigern and make it there in about three days time?"
Sirius was bust setting up the operation table and all of the necessary equipment as he answered Vivian. "Yes! So I have to hurry or else I will miss the battle!"
"But don't Mystic Eyes have to 'settle' in?" Vivian questioned.
Sirius nodded. "Usually but this time I hastened the process with some divine words." Then he turned to the jar. "I already 'connected' them to my being and 'assimilated' them with my circuitry. So once the operation is done they should fit right in."
"Do you even know what they are?" Vivian knew that these noble ranked eyes could be of divine descent but if they were something else...
Sirius shook his head. "No, but that's half the fun!"
Then the golem spurred to life as Sirius stripped and laid down on the operating table. "Love, if anything happens to complicate matters shut off the operation. I can make a pair of new eyes with my alchemy anyway."
Vivian nodded, but was still worried about this whole thing. Sirius smiled gently as he cupped her cheek. "Don't worry I'll be alright. You just have to trust me~"
Vivian nodded and put Sirius to sleep. That's when the golem came alive and started to transplant the Mystic Eyes into Sirius. The operation was going good until the golem started to implant the eyes.
This was what Sirius was worried about. If he could turn the eyes off. However Vivian was there to smooth things over. She guided Sirius's magic circuits into the eyes matching them perfectly as if Sirius was born with them.
"Sigh, taking an unnecessary risk for power. I worry about you honey...." Vivian cupped his cheek gently as the golem bandaged his eyes after a full day of surgery.
…
When Sirius awoke, his whole world flipped. He could see clearer than before as he could see the bandage on his face in greater detail. That's when he felt his head ache.
Vivian held his hand as he held his head in pain from the information his brain was slowly accustoming to from the eyes. But the more information that came the more suppressed he strangely felt until he couldn't take it anymore and ripped off the bandage.
His eyes glowed like a rainbow and his world grew brighter as he saw visions all over the place. He saw Vivian living day to day life, he saw himself when he was younger, he even went as far back as when Vivian was taking care of Lancelot.
"Well I know what I got now. Transience. A variant of Mystic Eyes of Retrocognition. They allow me to bring back the past to the present."
He turned to Vivian with his glowing eyes as he smiled brightly. "I got an idea."
The two walked out with Sirius basically stumbling every few steps as he still got used to the amount of information being processed. When they made it to the front yard Sirius will his retrocognition.
Vivian felt a torrent of magical energy fill the space as she witnessed a torrent of glowing golden light shimmer into existence. Thankfully Sirius was able to redirect it towards the sky so that she wouldn't have to regrow her grass again.
Vivian was stunned at the display. "You-"
She was interrupted by Sirius as he lifted her in his arms and swung her around. "Isn't that amazing? Because of my deep connection with this place I was able to pull Artoria's slash into the present from when she and Lancey were sparring!"
Then he set her down cradling her in his arms. "Imagine if I could look into Artoria's past and bring back Caliburn. Imagine if I could look into Excalibur's past or Avalon's or Rhongomyniad's?"
Because of his excitement he accidently activated his eyes again while touching Vivian making him see some things he would rather not have seen.
Vivian saw the hate and disgust in his eyes, but knew it wasn't towards her. She petted his hair as she soothed him. "It's in the past and plus." She looked into his eyes while cupping his face. "This time it will work out." She said as a bright smile.
Sirius's mood lifted as he too smiled. "That's right. This time!....This time it will work out, this I promise." The two sat in each others embrace holding one another and feeling their warmth.
