"Get these people out of here right now!" Bedivere ordered the surrounding soldiers to hurry with getting people out before an explosion shook the earth, the shockwave sent all them except the knights down on the ground.
When they looked toward where explosion they saw a enormous white dragon and two specks of light. One was a soft gold and the other a bright red, both fighting off the dragon.
"Dear lord...."
"By the heavens!"
"Mommy!"
The various people started to panic as they ran away toppling over each other in the process. Then they halted upon the presence being exuded from the knights.
"Listen to us! We will get you to safety!" Bedivere shouted. The now somewhat calm crowd speed walked away from the ruins of their kingdom.
Gawain walked up next to Bedivere. "We must go help the-" he stopped when he felt Bedivere's hand on his shoulder. The loyal knight shook his head in denial. "His Highness told us to evacuate the people, and that is what we will do. Besides." He turned to the fight "He has all the help he needs....."
…
Spears of metal and earth shot into the sky and slash's of light zoomed into the air. None of the attacks were effective.
"Yeah I think we might be in some doodoo again Artoria...." Said Sirius as he watch all of his attacks being nullified. "Dragons are the top phantasmal species and beings that posses pretty high resistances to magecraft. Its like your resistance but on drugs. I can't even transmute his scales, I might be able to transmute his insides but those scales are practically impenetrable to my alchemy."
"Well there has to be a weakness, something we can exploit." She said as she slashed apart an incoming fire breath. "I would use Rhongomyniad, but I can't in close.
Sirius got and idea. "Artoria follow my lead!"
"Did you say something?!" She shouted over the torrents of fire.
As soon as Vortigern's body lowered to the right amount, Sirius used his eyes to call forth one of Vortigern's previous blast sending him to the ground, Sirius turned to her and ran. When he arrived in front of her, he clapped his hands and transmuted the ground transforming them into massive magecraft reinforced chains that sealed Vortigern's movements for a few seconds.
"Now!" Sirius shouted. Artoria caught on easily and took out Rhongomyniad. Vortigern chuckled however and knocked Artoria away with a concentrated ball of flame as he easily broke out of the chains.
"Pathetic girl, that's exactly what I was waiting for. You think I didn't know those fools gifted you that lance? They don't even know that they have brought forth greater ruin in order to defeat me." He stated chuckling before turning to Sirius.
"You have been a pain in my backside. Die." His claws shot out at Sirius. Sirius tried his best at evading, but alas not everything goes to plan.
Blood spurted out onto the ground as a long claw pierced through Sirius's chest plate, removing his heart from his body. "Look at the vermin now~ Nothing left but a corpse~"
"Sirius!" Artoria witnessed the sight of her knight, her friend, being pierced by Vortigern and rushed to attack but was thrown far away into the reduced kingdom rubble.
Vortigern dropped the 'body' on his claw onto the floor. "Artoria- cough!" Blood funneled out of his mouth. He could feel the darkness closing in, his body gained an unnatural coldness as he felt the jaws of death close in on him.
He watched on as Vortigern resumed his battle with Artoria slowly killing her with his each strike.
For a moment he could feel the peaceful sleep that awaited him should he die, and it almost made him want death, but then Vivian's face flashed in his eyes. 'You HAVE to come back to me alive ok?' Love is a very mysterious thing.
As people say, a hero is someone who can throw their lives away for strangers. While Villains can throw away the world for their families. This is all because of the love they have towards either. Love, it can compel people to do the most heinous of things and it can make people saints.
Sirius. He was fueled, right now, purely on this emotion. That's when he heard it, that mix of his and a childish voice. "Call upon it~ Your Origin~". He closed his eyes and clapped his hands together, forming a large circle.
Everyone saw it. A large eye appeared on the ground and it seemed to swallow everything around it. Then they heard it, a chant.
"All there was, is, and will be is the truth."
Then a flash happened that seemed to pause everything.
…
When he opened his eyes he saw the blank being again. "We meet again Sirius Wilhelm~" Its voice revibrated in the surroundings. Behind the blank being sat a frozen Vortigern and Artoria mid battle.
Sirius turned behind finding the same gate sitting there, waiting for him to open it. He turned back to the being. "What do I call you?"
"Truth~" It smiled.
Sirius nodded and asked Truth a question. "What do you want in exchange for opening the door?"
Truth laughed. "Straight to the point. Good. As for the deal, hmm~" Truth put it's hand on it's chin. "Last time for even glimpsing through it, I took your memories though that did get a little messed up, how about this time I take your right arm."
"Ok." Sirius agreed immediately. The only reason he was standing right now and had a chance of winning was because of Truth, otherwise he would be laying in a pool of his blood right now.
"So fast~ What if there was a catch?" Truth smiled. Sirius was a rather peculiar human, as he used the gate to gaze into the Root while taking in alchemy, it was tough on the young magus soul. Of course he did this unknowingly and his memories were served as a price.
"You work on equivalent exchange. There is no catch." He didn't have time, he needed to save Artoria. He stopped at the door as it opened revealing a deep dark blackness that soon revealed one large of eye.
Then thousands of hands came out of the gate deconstructing him piece by piece, into a torrent of information that raddled his brain. Truth just giggled at the situation.
Sirius could feel it, the swirl of knowledge. It was boundless, but as he looked on he felt his perspective change, like he was everywhere and nowhere. As if he could be immune to everything and nothing.
When the exchange was over Sirius lay in a pool of his own blood. He could feel the 'air' around him, the feeling of it's very existence. He tried using his True Magic only for his nose yo spew out blood from using something he didn't completely understand.
'Fuck! What am I missing?' He accelerated his thinking hundreds of times faster and though several reasons only for it to be a dead end later on. He lived in his head for what felt like day or weeks until he found it. 'Too much of a target! Ok, just the injury itself.'
Then, in tandem with his True Magic, he used displacement on a rock in his hand to switch it for the Artoria's lance, Rhongomyniad and readied himself for battle.
…
Outside the phenomena, the knights of the Round Table looked on as a bright flash appeared around the place where the battle was taking place.
"Merlin what is that?" Kay asked.
"I.....I don't know.....It looks like some kind of reality marble but it feels different..."
The knights were slowly starting to calm down when the flash slowly faded away revealing a stunned Vortigern and Artoria, the same as before.
"What?" The dragon was confused, it felt like time had stopped for a second. That's when Sirius appeared with Rhongomyniad right in front of Vortigern's chest, after displacing space to instantly arrive at his desired location.
"You!" "Sirius!" Vortigern and Artoria were stunned. Sirius still had a gaping hole in his chest, but now he was missing his right arm as well. With a dash of speed he thrusted the lance into the dragons chest, but not deep enough to pierce the heart.
"AgGGhhhhHHhHhH!"
Vortigern shot into the sky with his wings, Sirius held on with Rhongomyniad still attached.
"Sirius!" Artoria shouted after them but they had already breached the clouds by that point. Sirius meanwhile was busy twisting the lance to make a gaping hole. Once done he yanked out the Rhongomyniad and threw it back down to earth, then he thrusted his left hand in, taking hold of the heart and ripping it out!
"AgGGhhhhHHhHhH!" Vortigern screamed again, feeling the same jaws of death that Sirius felt earlier. Losing strength in his wings the two began to plummet down to earth.
First people saw a small sliver lance fall from the sky and then that's when people saw it. The massive body of a dragon plummeting from the sky.
And that is when the people truly felt it. This. They were witnessing a true legend being born. This is when, to the people, the Magus of Truth was born along with the King of Knights.
