Waking up in the middle of the night with the help of the ghosts, Mors quickly got up and stretched.
It was time to test himself, as he felt some anxiety through his bones.
Trying to shake off the anxiety, he quickly grabbed a fruit out of the few they had left and sat down.
He decided to calm himself down a bit since he could already feel his heart pounding.
He felt young again as a shaky sort of energy filled his body. He hadn't felt this since he and his friends snuck into the international library of velata.
So taking a moment to look into his crystal mind again. He decided to go over the few bits of enchantments he had in there, further dissecting it.
On the second day of learning enchantments with Malle, he learned that he could make notes in his crystal mind that he could later use. It didn't take much effort, as a single thought to note that down would do the trick.
It was incredibly helpful when he wanted to relearn something or remember something he had forgotten.
It was also helpful in the way that it allowed him to make questions to be asked later.
But thinking about it, in the morning, he should at least try and get Malle and them out of the city.
After about 10 minutes of slowly eating and looking at the info in his head, Mors decided he was as calm as he would ever be.
Standing again, Mors quickly asked the hovering Spir, "Do I need to change clothes?"
"Usually yes, but since we are saving money, we can go without it," replied Spir, before he asked, "Are you ready?"
"Yup, as ready as I will ever be," replied Mors before heading for the door, grabbing his bag.
"Great, follow me," exclaimed Afiero, quickly zooming out of the room and through the door.
'Afiero seemed really excited to steal from the organization that he was a part of... the definitely did something to him,' thought Mors as he quickly followed.
Stepping out the door, Mors was greeted with the night sky, sparkling and shining in multiple colors.
Staring up in shock, he decided to ask, "Hey, are the multicolor stars normal?"
"What?" Replied Afiero and Spir before they themselves looked up to see just some regular stars.
"It doesn't look any different from normal. What are you seeing?" replied Afiero before heading down the stairs onto the main street.
Mors, realizing that the ghosts were on the move, followed as he still observed the marvelous sky.
Reaching the street, Mors replied, "The stars are multicolored. Other than that, I don't know how to describe it. It's very pretty."
Hovering over toward the main street, Afiero quietly said, "Interesting. then what color is that star?" Pointing towards one of the stars.
"Blue," Replied Mors.
Spir then had to wait and watch as he hovered over to the public gardens, with the chit chatters behind him.
Going along, Spir thought over the plan.
Afiero had informed them that there was a safe way into the garden, and the inside of the garden wasn't really watched. There weren't as valuable herbs in there.
Also, no one would usually steal it since after about 5 days, the culprit would be mysteriously figured out and executed.
No one knew how or why, but it did happen.
Repeatedly.
But seeing as they were going to steal that super rare herb, and then need to hide, it wouldn't hurt to steal these herbs.
Afiero didn't answer when they asked how the thieves would be found but said not to worry as long as they followed him.
Quickly reaching the herb garden, Mors stopped answering Afiero's star questions to look at the door.
It was bright and well-guarded, with at least 3 people there.
Quickly asking Afiero, Mors asked, "So, where do we go?"
"Follow me!" Replied Afiero, as he quickly moved off to the side of the building.
The building in question was a greenhouse, as glass covered the whole thing. It was dark inside, with the only light coming from the main door's enchanted lights.
Moving to the left side of the greenhouse, the trio went on the path that usually would take you to the enchanters building.
Quickly reaching the end of the greenhouse, Afiero took them on a grass path toward the back of the building until Afiero told them to stop.
Looking around for a door, Afiero told Mors, "Say these words, 'may the garden goddess bless these herbs and give us something new.' Word for word."
Thinking maybe the door was a voice-enchanted opening wall, Mors became excited before saying, "May the garden goddess bless these herbs, and give us something new."
A small light brightened from the middle of the glass wall, shining from previously invisible lines before he heard a click as a creak formed.
Slowly expanding, a silent hole formed before it slowly stopped expanding. Guessing it was over, Mors quickly walked through the hole.
Quietly he said, "Interesting..." as he watched the glass seamlessly close up behind him.
He wanted to explore the enchantment, but it was hiding... He really needed to figure out a way to see some of these hidden enchantments.
But seeing as he couldn't gleam information from this enchantment, Mors slowly moved close to a grow bed and stayed as low as he could.
Looking at Spir and Afiero, he decided to try and lead, this time saying, "Spir, help me hide. Afiero, point me in the direction. And any other ghosts, if you hear me, watch for guards."
Surprised by the little bit of initiative presented by Mors, Afiero, and Spir smiled and did as Mors said.
Spir quickly hovered up into the sky and hovered around the place looking around, while Afiero lowered himself closer to Mors and said, "Ok then, Follow me and get ready to grab."
...
The trio quickly moved around the place, hiding behind the raised grow beds, using the dim moon's light to illuminate his path.
Soon, Mors reached for his first herb to grab, and Afiero instructed him to just "pull it out."
With a slight tug, this blue leaf plant released from the soil as Mors dumped it into his bag.
Seeing Afiero staying still, Mors, with a little guilt, started pulling up more under Afiero's slightly creepy smile.
After 45 seconds and 10 herbs stolen, Afiero said, "Let's continue!"
This when on for 30 minutes, moving in a weird pattern along the grow beds, sometimes stopping to pull up some herbs.
As they went along, Mors noticed how Afiero slowly became more and more annoyed with something as his face soured.
While grabbing some more herbs, Mors decided to quietly ask, "What's wrong?"
"Well, besides the fact that they moved things around, I haven't found a crucial herb to the medicine. Wait a minute, let me look around," replied Afiero before running off.
With him gone, Mors was left with Spir looking around for him as he sat down.
This little break gave him time to let the situation sink in... He was stealing something behind other's backs.
What had he become?
Had he really become a villain?
'No, these herbs would be destroyed soon anyway.' Mors held on to this thought, making it his full moral reasoning.
But as he was having this dilemma, something pulled him out of his head.
Lines magically started to shine along the glass roof before an enchantment appeared shining a bright light on the whole place.
With that bright light, Mors, who was now close to the main door, could hear it open with people saying, "... Sure you can grab your herbs Tower Master Pecunia."
Mors freaking out, took a calm breath before looking at Spir and hearing him say, "Move back 3 grow beds and left as much as you can."
Quickly following the directions with a rapidly beating heart, he was about to cross his 3rd row backward when he stopped.
He felt something...
Staring at the ground beneath, he felt like something was trying to look at him.
Deciding to dodge it, Mors deviated from the route as he moved.
With the bright lights coming on, Mors expected Afiero to come back soon, with hopefully the location of the herb they needed.
But he had to wait.
Wait and dodge the Tower Master as he moved around...
With his quickly beating heart, Mors heard Spir say, "Change of plans, go back 2 spaces, and hide."
"What's happening?" Mors asked in almost a silent whisper as he quickly reacted and moved.
Seeing Mors actually moving and such, Spir decided to inform him, "The Tower master is on a path that would have crossed yours."
"Really? Why do I have to be unlucky with this..." Mors complained to the world, as this was already nerve-racking enough to steal. Now there was someone there.
Quickly hiding up, Mors waited for a moment, hiding with a grow bed, hoping that it would cover him completely.
Waiting and waiting, thinking that maybe this person might find them, he heard a voice behind him that made him almost jump.
"I found it, but follow me quickly..."
