When he did enter the office. He saw Malle packing things, yelling commands in the air.
A variety of illuminated on the wall as the light turned red.
Strings of different colored light lined the floor, running out and escaping. Mors could also see the golden enchantment that silenced everything was deactivating.
Warning bells could be heard through out the place as Mors felt multiple powerful feelings bloom from all around him.
Ator quickly stormed into the room from behind the surprised Mors and quickly knocked him over.
Saying a quick sorry, he asked, "Malle, what's going on?"
Looking directly at Mors and then at Ator, he said, "There is a possible horde coming, and there is a dangerous person outside the building. I am prepping the cannons."
"But the adventures association reported no monsters." Questioned Ator, to which Malle replied, "Verified info came in saying there was a horde out there about ummmm."
Mors chimed in, seeing Malle not knowing how long ago, and said, "A week and a half ago, also they were weird hill trolls."
Ator quickly spun around, saying, "So you were part of the reporting party then?"
Hearing the question, Mors explained the whole event with the hill trolls, including their descriptions.
As he told this part, both Malle and Ator's faces became slightly grim. Ator then quickly left the room, saying, "I'll go prepare the other enchanters for evacuation procedures. You prep the artifacts and docs."
"Already on it." Replied Malle as he quickened his pace.
Just standing there, Mors felt pretty useless at the moment compared to others, but that quickly changed when Malle ordered Mors to "grab that book and study it."
Wondering why, Mors picked up the book from the table and quickly sat down, only to find that it was a textbook about war enchantments.
With quite a few war enchantments...
Looking over at Malle, Mors asked, "Why?"
"Since we are probably going to be separated, I decided to let you copy all the info in there... Or as much as you can." Replied Malle before running back to packing stuff into a bag.
Mors noticed that the bag held a lot more than it should hold, but he didn't care at the moment, as he quickly thanked Malle and started to speed study.
Copying everything from his head into the Crystal Mind, he spent 3 hours reading.
...
Outside the enchanting building, many things happened.
The magic person quickly ran away, seeing the enchantments light up, and every organization was alerted to the emergency alarm at the enchanting building.
Lines filled the street as the building expanded, with red lights running around.
Out in the front of the town, large blocks started to change shapes.
Instead of looking like buildings, they slowly moved into and transformed into tube-like structures as massive cables of light flowed into them.
From that, massive symbols started appearing all around the newly appeared cannon as it slowly turned to shoot over the wall.
Lights across the town dimmed and turned off, all over the place, and everyone awake freaked out.
Since this was the telltale sign of a monster horde coming.
Symbols started to appear everywhere as small crystals surfaced all along the road.
The guards that were walking around became terrified seeing the extra battery crystals being charged.
Something horrible was on its way, and anyone that saw those crystals would usually is prepared to fight to the death.
The cannon where being powered up, the enchanters were preparing the safety bunker, and all the elements that used to power the town were being diverted into prepping large protection enchantments.
Back in his tower, the tower master felt a headache coming on.
Somehow the Enchanters had been alerted to the horde, even though the Adventurer's Association told them everything was fine.
It would be easy to destroy a town if the enchanters were blind-sighted since the powerful enchantments take a bit to power up.
But now that they were charging it, it would cause a lot of problems for him, and he had to destroy the enchantments somehow.
Sighing, he looked out of the window towards the forest. Close by, a great wall of fog lined the sky.
'Why did they want to destroy the town... it was useful,' he thought to himself. But he couldn't argue with his superiors.
With a headache, he sat down and rested. There were going to be a lot of meetings soon, and he was going to have to convince a lot of people.
...
At the Adventures Association, they could feel their tower powering up as elements flowed into the tower.
Freaking out, they worried about the recent report that they had ignored since the enchanters were prepping the grand enchantments.
But their reports said there was no evidence of monsters out there.
So why.
Why did the enchanters, who usually are the last to be alerted, were charging the enchantments.
They felt puzzled about it and decided to go in the morning to check.
But first, there had to be an announcement. Feeling that the Association Head sighed and pressed the announcement crystal, alerting any awake adventurers to return.
...
With the Enchanters, they were a mess. There was no warning about the warning, and now it was Go time.
Waking up and moving, groups moved to prepare the building.
The furnace was turned to full, and monster cores were thrown into the generator enchantment.
But a bigger group when to the lobby to hear the announcement.
Hearing how there was verified information about a horrible hill troll group, they all quickly broke up and did the necessary tasks to prep.
Most were tasked with waking up the blacksmiths and helping them prep weapons.
A few others started to mix the ingredients for more ink.
And a final few were tasked with taking existing ink and setting up temporary enchantments.
All of this happened without Mors's noticing since he was on page 492 reading about the fog wind wall enchantment.
All the information quickly entered his head and was noted down, and he was making good progress.
He didn't understand much about it, but it was perfectly preserved in his head to learn later.
After about thirty more minutes, he finished up as the book ended.
Quickly looking around, Mors noticed that he was now inside an enchantment, and he heard nothing around him.
With a step, he exited the enchantment while noting it in his head. As he stepped out, he could hear the while running around the hall through the door.
Guessing it had been a bit, Mors quickly decided to locate the ghosts, to find all of them inside his body. Well, besides Genn, who was with his sister.
Quietly, he asked, "Can you all hear me? Can one of you come out?"
Surprisingly, Mors felt his body shift as Afiero appeared.
"Why hello there, it seems you finished," stated Afiero with a smile.
"Yup. Can you teach me the medicine now?" asked Mors, worried for Alice.
They needed to get out of town now, or else the magic man would find him, and he didn't want Alice to be hurt. She was so nice to him, and Genn would be devastated.
"Sure," Afiero replied with a smile before saying, "Open up your bag."
With a sigh of relief, Mors quickly opened up his bag, and Afiero quickly guided Mors on what herbs to grab.
Sorting through the bag, Afiero guided Mors to pull out about 7 different herbs with a happy smile on his face.
After that, Afiero quickly flew around the room looking for something before directing Mors to take a bloody bowl and a knife.
Grabbing it off Malle's table, guessing it was used for enchanting, he returned to herbs.
Then with a smile, Afiero directed Mors to wipe out the bowl and place the herbs in there, then crush them with the knife handle until they were mush.
After Mors did that step and obtained a slightly red mush of green herbs, Afiero told him something strange.
"All you got to do is heat it up near a fire for a few minutes, then you are good," explained Afiero with a constant smile.
Shocked with how easy this was, Mors asked, "Really? I thought Alchemy was hard."
That statement froze Afiero's smile, and he tried to smack Mors's head, only to fail, as he said, "This is a very basic medicine. Alchemy is much harder!"
Laughing at the reaction of Afiero, Mors chuckled before saying, "I am joking. I'll go fire it now,"
Then taking the mush bowl with him, Mors left Malle's room to head towards the furnace room, only to find...
