Selena's POV
Skyler was already sitting on the white sand as we neared the shore. Stanley wasn't happy as he positioned the boat and pulled straight alongside the dock. I felt glad we were all safe, and I wished I was riding with Sky on his jet ski.
"What are you doing here, Skyler?" Stanley asked his brother the moment Sky came to us.
"You don't own this islet, Stan, the last time I checked, this place was still our father's property," Sky answered, and I was no longer shocked that their dad was the owner of this paradise.
Stan fell silent as he took my hand, and I could see the disappointed look on Sky's face as he stared at our intertwined hands; when he found my eyes, I shook my head. I wished my boyfriend could read my mind.
He turned around and walked away from us, and I let out a sigh of relief, thankful he got my message. I don't want to ruin his family outing because of me; I will make it up to him, and I couldn't wait to be alone with Skyler.
