Selena's POV
I knew something was off, Skyler was not in the mood, and he didn't even bother to look at me even once from the moment we left their beach house. I texted him, but he didn't reply to my messages.
I wondered what was wrong, and everything seemed so right last night when he came to my room. I waited for his reply to my text messages, but I haven't received anything. I was beginning to think it was because of my best friend.
"Hey, are you okay?" Stan asked the moment we met at the cafeteria to eat our lunch.
"Yes, everything is fine," I lied.
"Come on, Selena; you can never lie to me; I know something is bothering you." He responded, and I sighed heavily before raising my head to look at him.
"Can we talk later after class?" I asked.
"Okay, how about your part-time job at the cafe?" He asked.
"It is my off today," I replied, and he smiled at me.
