(Maria Loris)
Being the daughter of the most powerful wolf within the entirety of Compton wasn't really a nice thing for I was feared by all so I had very few friends. I knew how much my father loved me, even more than he loved my mother. He had been the one person that supported me during the days I cried for not having a mate but gone were those days and I cared not. There was a rumor that was going around within the pack, some said my father had the intention of marrying me off to Amenadiel so as to solidify the relationship between both race. I refused to believe for I knew my father wouldn't want to marry off to some brutal vampire that had no moral conduct. It was even a forbidden thing to have a wolf mate a vampire.
Just as the early sun beams invaded my large room, I arose from the bed so as to have a quick bath, a preparation to have a smooth breakfast with my family. Loris Pack was the biggest pack within the whole of Compton, there existed within it four hundred wolves. There were other packs that were as large as ours but what made our pack more powerful was because my dad had a lot of Alphas supporting him, they numbered thirty. That was the real reason we were the most powerful within the city. After spending about some minutes within the conducive bathroom, I exited it to put on a nice cloth, a sparkling gown. I was a lover of elegance so I made sure to not lack in the field, a habit I inherited from her.
After the whole preparation, I exited the room to visit the large dining room within the mansion and I already met my dad and mum, the two wonderful beings that saw to the growth of a baby to a twenty year old adult. I knew they were in their forties but they were as agile as they were during their younger days. I walked past the five white tuxedo clad handsome but deadly men that always protected my dad, they did maintain some distance from the dining table but they made sure to not lose their concentration on the environment. `My love, how was your night? You woke up late, I hope nothing is wrong?' He questioned with a soft gaze on me as I sat my butt on a chair.
`Nothing happened, dad. How are things going with the pack. And, why is my brother not present?' I asked with a hint of worry assaulting my statement. Lorien was but my dear elder brother and I did care about him even if he was mostly absent in the pack. He was the next succeeding Alpha of the pack, a man that had the exact character of my dad except that he wasn't an Alpha. He was but a Beta just like I was but didn't mean he was weak. `He's on a mission, don't bother to ask for I won't say.' Just as he replied, I let my gaze fall upon his body. His shoulder length white hair was as elegant as he was, he always loved to be clad in a white tuxedo. `Then, I won't ask.'
`Let's forget the issue and place our concentration on the good looking food, Maris.' My mother finally spoke with a smile on her beautiful face. I couldn't deny the fact that she looked good in her white gown. The duo were a perfect match, no one within the city could deny that. I nodded my head in approval and began to eat the precious delicacies that sat upon the table. After minutes, I managed to summon the courage to question my dad about the rumor that swallowed the entirety of the pack. `Dad, there's a rumor circulating around the pack and I do believe it's not true.' I noticed the worried expressions on their faces and I doubted if the rumor was false.
`My love, it's not false. You're really getting mated to Amenadiel. We've waited for years to witness the arrival of your mate but none appeared and as it is, we have no choice but to marry you off to him.' I was disgusted by the truth and I retorted. `And, your plan is to marry me off to a vampire, someone not of our kind. Can't you just marry me off to a werewolf, instead? I know the purpose of the marriage is to just secure the relationship between the two races. No one would tell me to marry a vampire, NOBODY!' Rage consumed me and the last word contained within my statement was aggressive. My amber eyes slowly turned bluish with a deep growl escaping my mouth.
`Honey, control your anger. It's not like we also want this but we have no choice. And, to marry you off to a wolf is impossible for not everyone is eligible to have someone beautiful as you are as his property. You are the daughter of the Supreme Alpha so your standards are quite high.' My mother arose to place her arms on my shoulders so as to get rid of the rage that burned my heart. `Mum, why is it Amenadiel of all? I loathe that man, he cares not about anything but power. I can't marry a man with such great ambition, please convince dad.' I relaxed myself and defeated the rage before trying to convince my parents.
`That's what you don't understand. He's not really a brutal man, you just haven't explored his heart so how can you say? He's a friend of mine and I know much about him. He was the one that made the proposal which means he has feelings for you. Think about it, having the daughter of the most powerful wolf in Compton marry the strongest and oldest vampire alive. Isn't that a wonderful thing?' I finally lost it and I arose from the chair and pounded the thick sandalwood table with my fists. The force contained within the fists were great and the table had no other choice but to crumble but it didn't forget to also bring down the plates with it. `WHAT IF MY MATE RETURNS TO CLAIM ME? WHAT SHALL I DO?' My father smiled in response after my tantrum. `I tell him to leave and if he doesn't, I kill him. The decision has been made, honey. You can go around and smash every object you see but nothing can change my decision so I'd advise you to relax your heart for I'll toast a drink to a new beginning on your wedding day.'
