After making a deal with the irritating lady, I got into my car and drove away from their pack and headed towards the location, many streets away from their Pack. After hours of listening to some music during the entire journey, I had already arrived at a merry street. Restaurants filled the street, pedestrians roamed around like some lost monsters on a fantasy island. It didn't take me much time to sight Odeon's House. That's how vampires referred to their clans. Unlike Werewolves that made use of `Packs', they did make use of `Houses'. The leader of a pack was always referred to as an `Alpha' but as for vampires, their leaders were known as an `Omicron'. The magnificent mansion stood rooted to the solid ground as the rays of the moon fell upon it.
Nightfall had already embraced the world. The entry gates of the mansion were protected by five charismatic figures. Their bodies remained still but their eyes roamed the entire environment for any little change. I hopped off my car after parking it some distance away from them and they did notice me heading towards them. Few seconds after being closer towards their positions, one of them questioned. `Who are you? And, what are you here for?' I looked straight at his eyeballs as I gave a sharp reply. `I'm here for Odeon, you all would do well to bring me before him.' I threatened them with no hesitation, I wasn't there to waste any precious time. The man's name was a password itself to ascertain which of the visitor was a supernatural or a human which very well meant that Odeon must have had another identity asides being a vampire.
They seemed taken aback by my straightforward answer but one managed to file a retort against me. `And, who are you to threaten us? Do you want to die?' That's the natural behavior of vampires, they answered threats with threats. I checked their fingers and sighted no ring which meant that Odeon had both compelled strong humans and loyal vampires as subordinates. The compelled humans would protect the mansion during the day and the protection would be left to his vampires during nightfall. I crossed the little distance that departed my body from theirs and grabbed one of them before maintaining a little distance from the rest. I didn't bother myself with some boring talks and went straight ahead to the action, I dipped my already jutted claws into his chest and brought out his bloody heart before dropping it to the soil.
The four vampires saw the stranger move with an indescribable speed and one of their colleagues was granted an instant death. `Bring me to him, a one time opportunity to save yourself the stress of visiting death.' The four vampires didn't bother to give a reply but instead bolted towards me. I grabbed one's right arm and tore it away from his shoulder, he screamed and before he could produce more screams, I stole his head from his shoulders by slapping his face with my claws. One struck my face with his claws and I responded by ducking, shifting my position led me to face the kick of another which I also ducked but I failed to duck the last attack, a punch to my chin.
A punch to my chin did nothing to me but further got me furious and that earned him a more brutal death for I had already yanked his body forward and sunk my fangs into his neck. The venom invaded his body and within the span of seconds, he fell to the ground with no breath of life in him. My bloody eyes gazed at the scared vampires as they contemplated on what to do. I smiled as they sped towards the interior part of the mansion with the intention of alerting the others. A step from reaching their goal, I already appeared right behind them with my claws imbedded in their chests. With no hesitation consuming me, I withdrew my claws from their chests and their hearts accompanied my deadly claws.
Their dead bodies fell to the soil as I walked past the entry gates with their bloody hearts still contained within my hold. No one was within the environment but I did sight light escaping every room within the mansion. I made use of Ulnar's dominant tone to seek the attention of the hidden vampires. `Odeon! Come out.' I barked a command at the not present vampire and the wind howled in response. Only half a minute had passed before every window possessed by the mansion was pushed open. Windows were pushed open, doors were also pushed open but the appearance of the many vampires made Ulnar more excited for he knew I was bound to lose control should the bloodlust consume me.
Vampires dropped down from the windows and more streamed out of hidden locations till they numbered seventy. I was beginning to get confused, if the army of Odeon didn't exceed hundred, how were they able to not be defeated by the wolves? The Light Pack's members might have not been abundant but they did have allies, as per the abundant number of wolves I sighted at their pack earlier the day. I was beginning to get worried cause I was failing to understand the whole issue. The vampires surrounded me and very soon, a man appeared from within their midst, their leader, their Omicron. `How dare a lone Alpha wolf cause trouble within my House? For you to bypass those five means you're a strong one. But, the odds are against you.' Odeon, the muscular man with no hair on his head, spoke as he gazed into my red eyes with disgust written all over his scarred face.
`Where is Veronica? Release her to me and give me a solid reason to why you captured her so I could consider sparing the whole lot of you.' I responded and dropped the duo bloody hearts to the solid ground before returning the gaze. I noticed a hint of confusion on his face as I spoke. `Oh, who is Veronica? Is she your mate? So, you think I captured your unknown mate? Is that why you're here to disturb the peace of I and my subordinates? I'm glad to tell you that I'm not with your woman but you'll have to die for going too far. Bring me his head!' He barked at his minions and they all bolted towards me. A punch came from the crowded vampires and I failed to duck it, that was the thing about fighting with a lot of vampires, agility was useless in the battle for only raw strength mattered when battling vampires of such number. Punches accompanied the kicks that were delivered to every part of my body. I had no knowledge about who managed to shove my body to the wall so as to pound my face with a strong fist but that didn't matter for the person succeeded. I winced in pain as more attacks were delivered and I screamed in agony as a long gash was fed to my right arm. I was forced to my knees as two vampires grabbed my arms so as to keep me kneeling. My head was hung low as Odeon taunted me. `Such tenacity, which pack do you belong to? I've always believed the Alpha wolves of Lucien were the only wolves that possessed such tenacity and so it appears that I was wrong. Wait, are you one of them?' A hint of fear coated his voice as he questioned but I gave no corresponding reply and instead gave a brutal one. `You all forced me to bring out the flame.' I urged Ulnar to take control and my face birthed a smile as I yanked my arms away from the duo vampires.
