Senior inspector, Jen lee, who rushed inside the office not reading the situation as it was a state of emergency. Just as he received the news he informed their head of department
Renjun.
"Who is it?"
Jaemin let out an exasperated sigh upon hearing the news, the situation was already tense due to Renjun's bad mood and the new girl who was already judging them.
Their informant who was the junior inspector of their department picked up the files already in a rushed environment to help them with the investigation.
"Senior inspector Choi"
Chen spoke up. All this while Renjun remained silent, analyzing the whole time. He was waiting for it.
The call, The damned call he hated picking up. Nonetheless, he knew as long as he was under HIM, he had to.

His phone rang, interrupting the tension in the room. He scoffed, just as he had predicted. With a heavy heart, he picked the call up.
"Yes, Admiral?"
"Investigate the crime scene right now! Moreover, I have transferred our most capable forensic investigator to your department and I won't hear any kind of refusal"
he commanded over the phone
"As you wish"
He said ending the call. Well, that explains a lot
in the sudden transfer of Seohyun to their department.
Grabbing his jacket and taking a deep breath, he got up. The investigation was a top-priority, putting all his feelings and emotions aside.
"We are going for investigation, ms park, follow me"

Reaching the destination, they all made their way through the crowd of reporters and people who had gathered in interest.
Yet another crowd if I may add which Renjun hated from the bottom of his heart. Rolling his eyes in annoyance, he stood at the entrance where the area had been sealed.
To verify his identity, he showed his badge to the guard, who immediately bowed In respect to the older male.
"Mr. Huang we're glad you're here, it's him again the Ace"
The police officer in charge temporarily told stressed as the place was extremely chaotic, his hands fidgeting with anxiety. Noticing his strange behavior, Renjun raised his brows, amused. The officer led him to the crime scene.
The body lay lifeless on the ground, blood flowing on the floor.
The room was destroyed completely, with broken vases which showed acts of resistance.
"The fucking ace" Jaemin cursed running his hand through his hair. Ace of spades, the killer they had been after for a month. He left no clues, it was almost like he was a professional.
"No.it's not ace" the girl interrupted, observing the whole area.
"On what basis?" Renjun raised his brow, interested in her deduction.
Intrigued
"Criminals like ace never commit a crime in broad daylight, looking at his body conditions the death took place roughly 3-4 hours ago it's suspicious as it is"
She summarized. Nodding at her explanation, he looked around the room, analyzing to verify if her statement proved to be right or wrong.
"No card this time?"
Jen furrowed his brows. Ace always left a card. But none was seen this time.
Squatting down, Renjun took a hold of a page covered in blood.
"You'll never find me?"
Renjun scoffed reading the sentence, he rather found it funny than threatening. In this field, he was used to getting threats and didn't bother much. He never feared anyone, not even death.
The killer was forgetting that Huang Renjun of the Crime investigation department had never, once in his life, failed l.

He lived for the thrill of competition specializing in criminology he had studied more than just the psychology of criminal minds, he excelled in his field.
Looking around the room for a good 10 minutes, he gave a light chuckle. Which indicated he had come to his conclusion.
"I'm afraid you're the right doc, Ace isn't stupid to leave all these evidence behind" he announced
"Out of all the murders ace committed all were either strangled to death or had their neck slit open…but this man right here he was stabbed in the heart multiple times"
"He could simply change the way of killing to confuse you"
Chen said
"Nah…change of style doesn't occur in a day also the card which he left is different…there are plenty of things I could mention but let's not waste time hmm? I got important things to do."
He said, patting Chen's shoulder and dusting his jacket ready to leave.
"Cap, where ya heading?" Jaemin asked confused to see him leaving before solving or even completing the investigation.
"I have a shit tonne of paperwork and a criminal to track" he replied
"and Miss Park I don't know whether that was a really good guess or a thorough investigation…anyway good work"
"Are you telling us who committed the crime?" Chen frustratingly inquired.
"Oh yeah forgot! Jen, cuff that man for god's sake!"
Renjun pointed at the police inspector who they had met at the entrance, the same person who had led them here.
Hearing Renjun's statement his pupils dilated, he attempted to run but was already surrounded so got caught easily.
"How can you say!?" the accused shouted
"Your hand is injured the possible nervousness around me. Your badge lying under the bed," he told turning around and leaving the area with a smug face.
Well, that was easy.
Huffing, Seohyun followed the boy who made his way out, sitting in his car ready to drive away.
She stood in front, making him raise his brows, confused at her attempts to stop him.
"What? You want to die, sweetheart?" He asked sarcastically as he was about to start the car.
"You're taking me with you," she told him. Interesting one she was.
It made him curious and even more infuriated at her fighting back at his every statement, which made him get out of the car.
Rolling his eyes for the nth time in a single day.
"You're quite rude Ms Park" he commented
"And you're quite annoying Mr. Huang" she mocked
Renjun would be lying if he said he wasn't intrigued by her personality,
"What do you want?"
He asked making the girl sigh
"you haven't signed on my transfer papers"
She said which hit him instantly all along he had forgotten the main purpose she was with him.
Orders from above couldn't be denied he wanted to, but he was aware of their need for a forensic expert.
"You better not let me down" he muttered grabbing the pen from Seohyun and signing the papers she held,
A small smile decorated her lips.
"Be at the department at 8 am sharp"
