Chapter 10 - Sleeping Choas

A few days passed in the blink of an eye.

Abaddon was counting on Mia getting married and Bam taking her with him. Therefore, he accepted the marriage after some back and forth with the kid, trying to look like he was worried about his granddaughter.

Only after Bam confessed his love for Mia did he appear to relax and become more positive about the situation. He explained that he was willing to go through all this trouble to marry her because of his deep affection for her. He added that he could have easily pursued another woman from a prominent clan of similar or higher status, but he chose Mia.

While Mia told him about the fact that Bam is going to teach him how to cultivate and increase his lifespan so he doesn't have to worry about leaving her alone.

He found it amusing that he didn't have to make any effort to get the resources he needed. Everything was given to him without having to lift a finger.

Deep into the night, the moon shines on half of the world. The warmth of spring is readily felt tonight; through the open window in the room, insects buzz and hum.

An old man wearing a black robe, with a face full of wrinkles and a bald head could be seen sitting in a lotus position in the middle of the room.

Not a position someone who would be asleep would take. Thus at first glance, someone would think that he was actually cultivating, yet at a second glance, they would feel no spiritual energy fluctuations around him nor his cultivation base and finally realize that it's just the way that he sits while thinking.

" Done, everything memorized!" Abaddon opened his old eyes as he muttered to himself.

In the past few days and from the moment he left the Ancient Rainforest to come here with his so-called granddaughter for the marriage and to start living here.

He never left the room, nor did anyone come to greet or invite him for a talk, only with the exception of the first time when Bam showed him his room and told him to wait there.

And then Mia comes to check on him before she goes to meet her father and mother-in-law and get to know them. Yet even after a few days, she didn't come back.

Abaddon didn't care about why he wasn't invited, and in the past few days, he had been going through various different books that he had taken from Bam so he could get to learn more about his current situation.

Despite having the entire life experience and memories of Chester, he still wanted to read books cause those memories didn't provide anything useful for him except for the basis of most basic information that was known to mortals like him.

Thus, and to get a general idea about this cultivation world, he chose the easiest and safest way to do so, which is through books.

As he digested the last bit of information about the basics of the power system and the world structure of the world, he couldn't help but feel amazement and yet curiosity.

" This world doesn't differ much from mine; in fact, except for the few missing cultivation realms and the ground structure being totally not the same, the basics are really the same."

The continent he was currently in was called Sleeping Chaos, and the name was mainly inspired by the few empires that ruled the country.

These empires have been focused on strengthening themselves and causing trouble for their neighboring empires rather than engaging in major wars or conflicts against each other. As a result, there has been little to no fighting between them for a while.

Yet, whenever two empires engage in war for their own benefits, the motives behind their actions are undoubtedly significant. However, the result is often chaos, with countless mortals and cultivators' lives lost in a storm of violence and bloodshed.

Thus, the whole continent was called Sleeping Choas.

Abaddon, at this moment, was reincarnated in the Storm Empire, which is a land of outstanding people rich in spiritual energy, hidden dragons, and crouching tigers. In addition to the many Holy lands closing up on themselves that had existed for millenniums.

Nonetheless, there were the clans that were ruled by the Storm Empire and were the ones ruling over the whole empire, only listening and being ordered by the emperor himself, which were the twelve great clans.

Ancient creatures with mighty cultivation bases dwelled inside the twelve great clans. With their might alone, they ruled over thousands of clans, and their territory spanned over a good chunk of the empire without an issue.

In addition to the humans, the Sleeping Choas Continent and Storm Empire had many ferocious beasts, especially the ancient ones that were never found nor fought against, which came into being since time immemorial.

Abaddon's exact location right now was Storm Wind Town, a small town ruled by two second-grade clans. One of them being the Fang Clan.

As he went through the information, a smug and confident smile appeared on his face, " I didn't expect my position would be this good; I should make full of use of this safe location till it becomes lacking for me."

In those past days, he had yet to start cultivating and opening up his meridians or doing anything with his body; he was patiently waiting for the Fang Clan to invite him for a small chat.

However, he wasn't a bit worried about his safety in those days cause he knew that nothing would happen to him before they actually spoke with him. After all, Bam's existence prevented them from being touched.

And there is only a chance to get targeted if something wrong happened with Mia anyway, and if things go smoothly without any mishaps, his position will be solidified.

And even if things didn't go well on Mia's end, he was confident that nothing would hurt him cause he had countless cultivation techniques and martial arts that he could give to the clan to raise his status.

And even if they chose to attack and kill him after they got whatever Abaddon gave them so they silence him for good and be on the safe side, he was as well not worried cause he had his trump card.

Abaddon is an old demon cunning like an old fox; he wouldn't stay in a place if he didn't know for sure that it was safe and secure. Thus, if you see him standing or doing something, you have to think that he is confident in his actions.

Unless he is pushed to the extreme and all his trump cards or simply all his techniques are bound to be useless, that's where he will die, like when Alex and the Emperors encircled him.

As he was patiently waiting without being the least stressed over how things will turn out. A voice could be heard from the outside, and without even waiting for Abaddon's invite, the door was pushed open.
