Chapter 11 - A Servant's Attitude is a Reflection of their Lord's.

A middle-aged man with a pale face stood in front of Abaddon after he almost broke the door with his impatient full of forced push.

He wore tattered leather armor all over his body, and a worn-out long sword was attached to his waist. His identity was clearly displayed by his outer appearance alone.

" The patriarch is summoning you to go and meet him so you can thoroughly talk about the marriage. Stand up and follow me."

His eyes and facial expressions were openly showcasing his hostility, not bothering to conceal it even for a tiny bit.

' Sending a guard to fetch me, huh! And from his behavior and tone just now, I can pretty much guess what ensued on Mia's end, especially Bam's father's opinion on this matter.'

He already deduced that things turned south on the other side, yet he didn't care. Just getting into this clan's mansion was what he mainly wanted; he didn't really need the marriage at this moment.

The marriage all along was to make it easier and less troubling for Abaddon to cultivate, but since things are looking bad, he will have to make a move himself.

" Lead the way."

As he spoke, he slowly stood up and began organizing his clothes. Not even a bit worried about his current position or the guard that was looking at him with rage.

" Move faster, old thing, or don't blame me for making you become more agile using my own method." The guard's tone was cold as he threatened.

" Oh, what do you think will happen if I tell the Head Clan that you are treating his daughter's in-law grandfather in this manner? " His old voice sounded miserable as he spoke, and the guard couldn't help but laugh after hearing his words.

" I was specially ordered to treat you this way, now move and stop speaking any more nonsense. "

The guard took Abaddon's hand and forcefully threw him out of the room. He didn't even stop at that, and using his right leg, he kicked him on his back.

The kick threw him back a few meters, and blood trickled from his mouth; the guard's cold eyes glared at the old man that bathing in soil. His voice was harsh as he warned him.

" That was only a merciful warning without using any spiritual energy, talking more nonsense, or wasting any more of our Clan Head's time, and I wouldn't mind kicking you all the way to him."

Abaddon's face that was facing the soil transformed for a split second into a devilish smile and burning eyes that could make anyone kneel and send tremors of terror in their deep souls.

' This should be enough to prove that this Clan Head doesn't want me to stay. And this guard, just wait for a little longer; death would be what you gonna be wishing for real soon.'

His slow movements were only him provoking the guard to see how will he be treated under those circumstances; after all, there is a famous saying that said: A servant's attitude is a reflection of their Lord's.

He indeed figured things out after the guard didn't ask for permission and abruptly pushed the door open, and Bam gave him a wretched place to live in, even lower than a servant's room.

Abaddon was aware that Bam would not assign him such a room, leading him to believe that it was an instruction from the Head Clan. To prepare for meeting him, he wanted to confirm this, so he conducted a brief examination of the guard's behavior.

Abaddon stood up and wiped the blood out of his mouth; his movements weren't anything like his slow actions back in the room, " I understand, now lead the way."

In a luxurious pavilion situated a bit far from the miserable-looking place and ground that Abaddon had been living in on the past few days, Bam and Mia could be seen standing In front of the door waiting for someone.

Mia felt sorrow as she painterly waited for her grandfather to arrive, her eyes misty, and she was biting her lips every now and then, appearing to be in bad shape.

Bam frowned as he saw the state that Mia was currently in; he never expected that his father would be cold and cruel towards the love of his life.

Whenever he spoke about her and mentioned the marriage, he would advise him not to do it, but he still approved of his decision and didn't mind him marrying a girl without a background or cultivation.

However, the moment he brought her to his clan's mansion, his father's attitude entirely changed; he couldn't even recognize him at first glance after hearing his tone and how he spoke to Mia.

After a few days of casual talks that were more like humiliation to his love, and whenever he tried to defend her, he would get shut down by his father and young brother; he knew that things weren't gonna be simple.

And now, the Clan Head, Neon Fang, who is his father, was finally willing to converse with Chester. But Bam felt nothing good about his father wanting to meet him.

His worry instead intensified, and he felt that something huge that might separate him from the love of his life would soon transpire when Chester arrived. And all along, he couldn't understand why his father started acting this way.

He felt that something weird was going on behind the scenes cause even though he was marrying a girl without background, his cultivation that was on the fourth layer of the Qi condensation realm was more than enough to let his father agree with his decisions.

Deep down, he had always been arrogant, and in fact, his arrogance and haughty actions weren't in the least wrong or misplaced. Cause he was a real genius that surpassed his peers and what a second-grade clan like his would nurture.

If not for his lack of resources being far behind what a first-grade clan had, thus making him unable to surpass their youngsters that were his same age, he would have been altogether demonstrating his arrogance all around.

Yet, his father, that was supposed to be proud of him and always backed him, and his every decision was entirely against him now. Therefore, he was anxious about the outcome.

In the room that Mia and Bam were standing guard in front of its door, a round table with many seats surrounding it was positioned in the middle; at first glance, everyone would realize that this was a meeting room.

At the most luxurious chair that was decorated with several golden threads and a twin tigers claw that stood on its shoulders, a middle-aged man was leisurely sitting there, impatiently waiting for his so-called guest.

The middle man was undoubtedly Neon, he was an 80 years of age old man, but cause of his cultivation and increased lifespan, he didn't appear more than 45 years old.

His eyes were black in color, his hair white, and a few scars were covering his black face; he was a man of a muscular build that wore golden armor, and his presence could be clearly detected whenever somebody entered a room where he was in.

Right next to him, a young man was standing like an obedient minister, waiting to advise his Lord. His hair was long and black, flowing down his shoulders; his white face reflected upon his blue eyes.

The aura he was radiating would make anyone think that this was a 20-plus man with deep cultivation, yet he was only a 17-year-old young man.
