The next morning...
Last night's hunt didn't bring in much money. The criminals in the capital have diminished since I arrived here. The population is becoming extinct because of the existence of the dreaded scourge that is me. The Crime Slayer.
"Is Princess Liettha absent today?"
"Perhaps? I heard the news that she is injured."
"Huh? How come?"
"I don't know either."
The people in this class were talking about Princess Liettha's absence. There was a rumor that she was attacked by someone last night and got injured quite badly.
This was currently the hottest topic in the academy, even though the news about Princess Viona had not died down.
I muttered to myself in a small voice, "It wouldn't be strange if in the future, the knights would guard the two of them very closely."
It was now rest time. I was waiting for Amara to come to this class to have lunch together. She would get angry if I left first.
I waited for about 15 minutes. She arrives and stands in the doorway, looking at me without saying a word. I could tell that she was just uncomfortable with everyone here. Amara doesn't like anyone to stare at her for long, except me.
I approached her, "Come on. What are you waiting for?" I walked first and Amara followed me.
We didn't chat much on the way to the cafeteria. There were only a few chats.
"Did something happen in your class?" Amara asked.
"Princess Liettha. She's absent today. Rumor has it she was attacked by someone last night!" I told Amara.
"Yep, feel it! The princess gets escorted too often. First time on her own, she's already been attacked. How weak!" Amara smiled.
"Don't smile on the misery of others, my sister?"
"I don't care."
Amara did not like the nobles. She often fought with her classmates over small matters. My sister had no girl friends.
"As you wish. Anyway, are you really serious about qualifying for the tournament?" I asked.
There were a lot of people talking about this. Amara would be competing with the elite students at the Academy to be the representative at the kingdom's annual event.
My sister is eyeing the highlights that come with beating the other students.
"Yes. I can't miss this great opportunity. I must shine. Everyone in this country should know the Kamamara family!"
Well, she was ambitious.
I could have helped with her ambition. Yep, sneakily.
"I can only support you, my sister."
"That's more than enough, my brother!" Amara smiled.
Well, she did exude the aura of the main character.
On the way, while in a deserted alley. We saw someone being bullied. I was going to pretend not to see, but my sister chose the opposite option for me.
"Hey, what are you doing? I can report you to the Student Council!" Amara shouted, threatening the bully.
The man looked annoyed at Amara. He decided to leave because he lost power and influence in the academy. Well, maybe being popular helped.
"Are you okay?" Amara asked.
"Umm, yes. T-thank you." The shy student with a small body ran away from us after thanking us.
"That's very kind of you, little sister!"
"That inequality pisses me off. I will destroy it." Amara said with strong determination.
Well, my sister is a bit naive. There is no such thing as equality in this world. It's simply impossible unless you're the God who created and rules the world.
I once thought like Amara in my previous life. An innocent person with a superhero-like sense of justice. I thought I could be the main character who wanted to make a world without sadness, where everyone could be happy.
Yes, I know it was a stupid thought after experiencing the reality.
Well, additional information. I was able to get trapped in the ruins of the school because I wanted to help someone. However, that person ridiculously left me in ruins until I died and reincarnated into this world.
"What a great goal. As your big brother, I can only give you support!" I smiled at Amara's innocent statement.
Besides wanting to do something that had never been realized in a previous life. I did want to support my sister's innocent dream. As a side character who was moving behind the scenes to support the main character.
The main character is Amara!

"Yohoho... you were caught by the Crime Slayer."
"Shit!"
The criminals immediately turned back when they saw me blocking this deserted alley.
"Okay. Let's play chase!" I jumped onto the top of the building to widen the field of view.
This was just extending the duration. I could have quickly taken down that mediocre villain. Well, this was just for fun.
"Huh? Turns out they're a big group, huh?"
I wouldn't have known this if they hadn't tried to secure the loot. Some members blended in as normal people and passed the loot. They then focused on escaping after the loot was secured.
"Pretty good method, but today is not your lucky day!"
I played along with them by chasing one after another. But, it became boring after a while. In the end, I went looking for their loot
"They gathered it in this wagon?!"
It was parked in an alley close to Megato's restaurant. I could see a line of hundreds of humans waiting in line. The place was indeed too crowded these days.
"Alright, what do you guys have here?"
I found several bags of gold and silver coins. There were also some other valuables such as jewelry. But, what caught my attention the most was the presence of a baby.
I felt dejavu. This was the second time I found a baby from a criminal.
"What are you kidnapping babies for? Is baby trafficking all the trending?" I said in confusion, scratching my head.
Anyway, I can't leave that baby here. She's still too young to die, her life is still long. No one knows how her life will be in the future. Maybe she'll become an important person.
I took all the valuables on the wagon and the baby.
I didn't know who the baby's parents were and didn't want to bother looking for them. So, I'll randomly leave it with someone else.
If its fate to be together. The real parents and the baby will meet in the future.
Next, I chose a house at random. I knocked on the door and placed the baby there. I also watched from a distance.
"Well, I guess my instincts are always right?!" My eyes widened in shock, I smiled a little.
A woman and man came out of the house. They looked very surprised to see a baby. But, the next thing they knew, they were crying as they hugged the baby.
"Thank you. We didn't know who you were."
I listened to their thanks.
